Top 10 Celebs We'd Love to See Have a YouTube Channel

#10: Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen
If you grew up in the ‘90s, you probably feel like Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen grew up right along with you. From their time on “Full House” to their many movies and TV shows, these sisters were a staple in our lives for so long. But as they got older, they became increasingly private, and are notorious for largely staying off social media. Their enigmatic nature is what makes us want to see more from them, and considering what style icons they have been over the years we could see them creating a channel with a fashion angle.
#9: Tina Fey & Amy Poehler
These two comedians are both a force to be reckoned with. They’re each incredible in their own right, but when they team up, they’re even funnier, as evidenced by the great job they have done hosting the Golden Globe awards. The nature of entertainment is inevitably changing, and in these unprecedented times, performers are getting creative with the type of content they create. It doesn’t seem like too much of a stretch to imagine these two starting a channel together where they do SNL-style skits, or picking a high concept interview format where they bring on other celebs.
#8: Emma Stone
Some actors seem untouchable and glamorous, the types of people that we can watch on screen accepting awards and wearing impossibly chic outfits. But others have a certain quality that makes you think that if you met them, you might just be able to be friends. Emma Stone certainly fits in the latter category (though she can also rock a stylish outfit). Her relatable personality is what makes people love her, but she has never been one to have a big social media presence. If she had a YouTube channel we’d love to see her vlogging about her life, because it’s clear from her interviews that she can make anything that happens to her sound hilarious.
#7: Britney Spears
Since the ‘90s it has seemed like people can’t get enough of Britney Spears. Through her successful popstar years as well as the darker times she has suffered, she has undoubtedly captured the public’s interest. Considering the #FreeBritney movement centered on concern for the entertainer, fans would love to see regular updates from her to let us know that she’s doing alright. She is also such a multitalented performer that we’d be happy to watch her dance tutorials or workout videos any day!
#6: Prince Harry & Meghan Markle
Since Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (better known as Meghan Markle) stepped down from their roles as senior members of the British royal family, their fans have been eagerly anticipating their next steps. Now that they’re more free of the strict confines of royal protocol, we could imagine them letting their fans into their private lives a little more through a YouTube channel. Markle already has experience creating lifestyle content through her site The Tig so it wouldn’t be difficult to imagine her creating videos in that genre. Also we’d love to see more of little Archie!
#5: Harry Styles
From a royal Harry to one who is undeniably a prince of pop! Harry Styles gained popularity due to his involvement in mega boy band One Direction. He struck out as a solo artist and maintained the fervor of his fans, while cultivating a public image that garnered widespread appeal. One of the reasons people love Styles so much is well...his sense of style! Young men haven’t always historically had tons of great fashion inspiration available to them if they want to be truly bold with their sartorial choices, and Styles is a prime example of a fashionable man who could bring his expertise to YouTube.
#4: Kristen Bell & Dax Shepard
It’s hard to keep up with the break ups and make ups among Hollywood couples, but this is one pairing that we have faith is going to be around for a while. Actors Kristen Bell and Dax Shepherd make for an entertaining pair who aren’t afraid to get very real about their lives and the struggles that they face in their marriage. We could picture them starting a YouTube channel that functions a bit like couples therapy, where they talk out their issues in a lighthearted way for their audience. Considering Shepherd’s experience interviewing for his podcast “Armchair Expert”, we could also picture them having other people on to talk about the troubles they face.
#3: John Mulaney
Stand up comedy can be a bit of a personal taste, with few comedians able to entertain a wide demographic without offending some or simply being deemed unfunny by others. One performer who seems to transcend this problem is John Mulaney, who just radiates likeability, and manages to appeal to just about anyone regardless of their age or station in life. We would watch just about anything he could put on YouTube, be it funny interviews of celebrities or just videos of him at home with his dog, Petunia. Considering the wide variety of types of comedy he’s capable of, we know he’d come up with something good.
#2: Beyoncé
Let’s be real, they Bey hive would support their Queen Bey in pretty much any endeavor she started. Despite her massive popularity, we can’t seem to get enough of Beyoncé, and any candid moment we see of the multi-talented star is something to treasure. Though Beyoncé is on social media, most of what she puts out is highly produced and controlled, not ever giving us much of an inside view on her life. We know she could put out great beauty tutorials but she could simultaneously use her platform to promote the many causes she is passionate about. We imagine her channel being genre-defying, because Beyoncé is anything but predictable.
Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.

#1: Rihanna
We’re not surprised that the makeup tutorial that Rihanna did for Vogue’s Beauty Secrets has a whopping 31 million views. We know that RiRi produces content for the Fenty Beauty By Rihanna channel, but considering that page is used to promote her brand, we don’t get to see the star being totally candid about what products she actually uses. Rihanna is one of those stars who has widespread appeal, and people seem to always want more content from her, so our dream would be if she created a lifestyle channel with videos on exercise, fashion, beauty and, of course, music. We just want to feel like we’re hanging out with her… is that too much to ask?
