#10: Offset for Cardi B
Migos rapper Offset found the perfect way to cement his relationship to wife Cardi B back in 2017. He got a neck tattoo of Buttercup from “The Powerpuff Girls” with his lovers name sprawled underneath. The tat is certainly a bold one but seeing as how Offset is pretty much covered in them the decision couldn’t have weighed that heavily on him. The good thing about this one is that if things ever go sour in their relationship all Offset has to do is get the name portion covered up! That way he’ll still have a totally badass picture of Buttercup on his neck…right?
#9: Zayn Malik for Perrie Edwards
Zayn Malik, the former One Direction member and current solo act got a picture of girlfriend Perrie Edwards’s face on his arm in 2013. Unfortunately the duo didn’t last and he was forced to have it covered up after the split. Now you’d think that Malik would have taken this experience to heart and made sure to be more cautious with his next tattoo . . . but no. He went on to get Gigi Hadid’s eyes tattooed across his chest, just months before they broke up, although they got back together again shortly afterwards. Hopefully this one will work out for him.

Anthony and Lopez were married for a decade, which is a basically a century in celebrity relationship years. During that time he decided to demonstrate his love for his wife by getting her name tattooed on his wrist. The move wound up being a bad one. The singers split in 2014 and it left Anthony in a bit of a pickle, especially since he got remarried that same year and, you know, most people aren't wild about their husband having someone else’s name tattooed on them. We think that this was at least partially responsible for Anthony later having it covered up.

These inky decisions turned out to be massive mistakes when the couple separated in 2014. In the aftermath of the break up, Nick’s tattoo was covered up and Mariah’s altered. Probably for the best…

Actors Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas got married in 1996 and Griffith would eventually decide to commemorate their love with a tattoo. It was simple enough, just a heart with Banderas’ first name written across it, but it ultimately proved to be a mistake seeing as how the two split in 2014. And despite the divorce being done “in a loving and friendly manner” it appears that Griffith wanted to take back the skin she’d given him, first covering up the tattoo during red carpet appearances, and then undergoing treatments to have it progressively removed.

Despite an age gap of 20 years. Academy Award winners Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton got married back in 2000. This declaration of love was apparently not enough for Jolie, who decided to get “Billy Bob” tattooed above a previously existing dragon on her upper arm. Her beau also got a couple of tats in celebration of the union. The volatile relationship officially came to a close in 2003 when the two got divorced. Jolie would later cover up both the name and the dragon with the coordinates of her children’s birthplaces.

While the two would go on to get engaged, the relationship failed to take the next step and in 2011 they broke up. Kat Von D had the portrait removed the following year. Seeing as how it was on her ribcage, we can imagine that the process hurt quite a bit.
