Top 5 Wireless Headphones (2020)

Welcome to GetMojo, we do the research so you don’t have to! In this video, we’re offering our picks for the 5 best wireless headphones on the market in 2020.

There’s a lot to consider when buying a new set of wireless headphones or earbuds, from battery life to aesthetics. And the choices can be quite overwhelming. But we’re here to help. We’ve put together a list of our 5 recommended products after sifting through numerous websites and consumer reviews. So, first up.

The Front Runner: Sony WH-1000XM3

The Sony 1000X series has been rocking listeners’ worlds for a long time now, and each iteration just keeps getting better and better. The WH-1000XM3 is a testament to that. Offering a cool design, 3-hour battery life and some of the best noise cancellation out there, they are a seriously enticing choice, especially at under $250. Also, Sony has their Quick Attention mode, a feature that allows you to easily talk to others without taking your headphones off. Rival-wise, TechRadar says that they “sound better than Bose.” And speaking of…

The Comparable: Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700

For those that don’t mind ponying up, at $400 these headphones are pricey but don’t disappoint when it comes to performance. These headphones boast a 20-hour battery life, a sleek, simplified and comfortable design, a mixture of touch and physical button controls, and of course, outstanding noise cancellation. In fact, the noise cancellation can be widely adjusted, allowing a wearer to let in varying amounts of ambient noise if preferred.

The Airpods Option: Apple AirPods Pro

Priced at around $250, the AirPods Pro are some of the lightest and most comfortable earbuds around – with the ear tips of the Pro offering particularly impressive comfort for joggers. They also offer Apple’s Transparency mode, which allows external noise in for added convenience. Add to that their easy-to-pair nature, and you’ve got a solid competitor. ‘What Hi-Fi?’ summed them up by saying “they can be beaten for sound, but are a joy to live with and use.”

The Bang for Your Buck: Jabra Elite 85h

With Jabra’s first attempt at upmarket wireless headphones, you get a super-premium set of headphones at a very reasonable price. Coming in at around $250, the Elite 85hs offer class-leading battery life at 36 hours, some of the slickest color options, tons of sound profile customization and incredibly easy-to-understand out-of-the-box appeal. Their Smart Active Noise Cancellation may not be the best in the biz, but overall, these are a great alternative choice.

The Budget Option: JLab JBuds Air True Wireless Earbuds

If you’re looking for a cheap —  or perhaps your first — pair of wireless earphones, then the $49 JLab JBuds are a great choice. Praised for their impressive bass quality, the JBuds are water- and dust-resistant and offer up to 3 hours of battery life – with the carry case offering an additional 14 hours when fully charged. They may not have premium build quality, but they’re a great budget option and are incredibly easy to use.

So which wireless headphones should you go for? Well, there are some seriously impressive products out there. And it is very easy to overindulge. So, if you’re not too concerned with low and mid frequencies – then maybe look at a mid-range model to offer a nice balance of quality and user-friendliness.
