Modern dating is hard! It's mainly tough due to so many dating apps that're supposed to help all the single people find love. However, most people find many of the dating apps creepy! We've taken a look a 5 dating apps that are a little less creepy and might help you find your true love. Squad, Bumble, Hinge, Happn, Coffee Meets Bagel are some of the dating apps that you should try if you aren't on them already!

#5: Squad

Do you get uncomfortable in one-on-one situations? Do you prefer to meet new people in group settings? If so, this app is for you. Squad is less of a dating app and more of a social stimulator. The app allows you to create a “squad” with the people you’re planning on going out with – be it friends, coworkers, etc. You each have your own profile, which allows you to search for other “squads” in the area. Then, it’s as simple as swiping yes or no, matching, chatting and meeting up. Squad is perfect for people who want to meet new people in a casual, no pressure environment.

#4: Coffee Meets Bagel

More than just a unique name, Coffee Meets Bagel is an excellent app for people searching for a real connection. The company got its start in 2012 and received a bump in popularity after appearing on an episode of “Shark Tank”. Founded by three sisters, Coffee Meets Bagel cuts through the noise of a typical dating app by restricting the amount of people you can interact with per day while also putting the power in the ladies’ hands; as it’s up to the woman to decide who she messages based on the men who have “liked” her profile. This app is perfect for people who are looking for more than just a quick hook up.

#3: Happn

It happens all the time. You’re walking down the street when suddenly someone walking towards you catches your eye. But the two of you keep moving and the moment quickly fades. Luckily, there’s an app for that and it’s called Happn. The app is location-based and allows you to see people who take the same bus as you every day or who frequent the same watering holes as you and your friends. Essentially it allows you to find people who you cross paths with regularly. The app is all about second chances and the ability to connect with people who might otherwise be lost forever. Hopeless romantics... eat your heart out.

#2: Hinge

This is the perfect app for those of you who are sick and tired of random guys and an inbox full of one liners. Hinge is aesthetically similar to Tinder, but differs drastically in its approach. The app connects you to your Facebook account and uses your current social network to find potential matches through your friends and friends of your friends. It goes above and beyond the standard pictures and brief bio by having you fill out a lengthy personal survey that’s loaded with questions to help filter out those who just aren’t your type. In the digital dating world, Hinge is a refreshingly focused approach to finding that meaningful match.

#1: Bumble

The way this app works is very similar to its peers but with one gigantic catch: when two people of the opposite sex “like” each other, it is up to the woman to initiate the conversation. By doing this, Bumble has managed to solve two fundamental online dating problems. For women, it means no more creepy messages from guys before they can even say hello. And for men, it alleviates the pressure of starting a conversation while also giving them an instant confidence boost. For same-gender connections, the app allows for either one to start the conversation. In a short period of time, Bumble’s progressive approach has revolutionized the dating app game.
