#3. The Ghost from Star Wars Rebels

This last trailer was packed with intriguing moments: the new ice base; the introduction of several new characters; and C-3PO’s heartfelt . . . farewell? But since we’re talking things you may have MISSED, these aren’t the (details) you’re looking for . . . Only glimpsed for a moment was the Ghost from “Star Wars Rebels” - visible as the Millenium Falcon drops into view in front of the Resistance Fleet. The modified VCX-100 light freighter is a fan favorite, serving as home base for the heroes in the animated Rebels series. It was also spotted by eagle-eyed viewers in “Rogue One”. Is Hera at the wheel? Or maybe her son, Jacen? We sure like to think so! Look closely and you can also see a Baleen-class heavy freighter that looks a lot like Han’s “Eravana” from “The Force Awakens”.

#2. Rey's Dagger

Top 5 Things You Missed from the Star Wars: The Last Jedi Trailer

“The Last Jedi” saw Rey and Kylo team up to defeat Snoke’s Praetorian Guard. Their alliance, however, was short-lived. So it’s a surprise to see them joining forces again to destroy . . . well, a block . . . of . . . something. When you freeze frame, it looks like a pedestal with Darth Vader’s helmet. Rey is using Luke’s repaired lightsaber, but in her left hand is a mysterious, ceremonial-looking dagger. Fans have a few theories; jump forward if you’re wary of potential spoilers. One is that the dagger is an important Sith artifact. Another is that it’s the Dagger of Mortis, from “The Clone Wars” animated series. A mystical weapon in the ethereal realm of Mortis, it had the power to kill the immortal residents there, the Father, Son, and Daughter. Hmm . . . could certainly come in handy! Before we unveil our number one pick, here are a few honorable mentions! #1. Palpatine & His Throne

We knew Palpatine was coming back. But it wasn’t clear in what form. As a ghost? In the flesh? Well, the second last shot of the trailer seems to show Darth Sidious back in his trademark black robe, advancing on Rey. You can see his cowl, sleeve, and for a microsecond his fingers, although he’s obscured by a strange mechanism. Some sort of life support system, perhaps? Has Palpatine too become “more machine now than man”? Well, at least he has somewhere to sit; the trailer also shows off a new throne, which is actually based on Ralph McQuarrie's original 1981 concept art. Makes the Iron Throne look kinda comfy . . . As for HOW Palpatine is back at all . . . we’ll have to wait and see!
