#5: STOP MAKING ASSUMPTIONS | YOUTUBE VS TIK TOK: THE END
CarryMinati This vertical video seems innocuous enough, but the reason it got so many likes isn’t because of its content; it’s because it addressed another controversial video that YouTube took down. CarryMinati is one of the most popular comedy/commentary YouTubers from India. In May of 2020, the YouTuber published “YouTube Vs. TikYok - The End”, a video response to Amir Siddiqui, who had criticized YouTube creators for roasting TikTok users. #4: YouTube Rewind 2018, but it's actually good
PewDiePie When the 2018 iteration of YouTube Rewind hit the internet, the community was not impressed. But if there is one thing that YouTube creators are known for, it’s for their drive and ingenuity to get things done! In response to the lackluster Rewind, PewDiePie collaborated with musician Partyinbackyard and popular meme video editors Grandayy, Dolan Dark, and FlyingKitty to make up for it. As a result, the video blew up, currently at 9.5 Million likes, and was one of the most liked creator videos on the platform. This video marks a crucial moment in internet history, where a great website was born and gave anybody the chance to broadcast. So it’s also fitting that this iconic moment sports 10 Million Likes, solidifying itself as the second most liked non-music video on YouTube.

While the goal was to become the second most liked behind PewDiePie’s 2018 YouTube Rewind, it got pretty far and surpassed it, adding up to the current 19 Million Likes.
