When the name Jennifer Aniston pops into your head, you likely think first and foremost of Rachel Green, her character on the long-running sitcom “Friends.” It was that role that really put her on the map, but after that success she kept busy with numerous comedy and drama projects. Don’t get us wrong: we loved her “Along Came Polly,” “Marley and Me” and “Horrible Bosses,” just to name a few. But, Jolie’s projects always register larger on Hollywood’s radar. From “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” to “Wanted” and “Salt,” her cinematic domination is astounding. Strictly measuring success by the box office, we have to side with Jolie. Winner: Angelina Jolie Points: 0 to 1.

They are both powerful leading ladies in Hollywood. However, Aniston’s rise to Hollywood superstardom wasn’t created in the cinema. Instead, she built a dedicated television audience that eventually followed her to film. Her fairytale marriage and shocking divorce from Brad Pitt also fueled never-ending media coverage. But, perhaps her most significant achievement was earning her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. While Jolie has yet to earn her star, she has taken home countless awards. These include various Golden Globes, and an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in “Girl, Interrupted.” Sorry Jen, we have to give this one to Jolie. Winner: Jolie Points 0 to 2.

To us, this round is a bit of a no-brainer. Aniston’s wonderful sense of humor and girl next-door charm beats out Jolie’s wild child persona and…strangeness. Angie: there’s no need to bring up your bizarre bedroom fetishes during interviews. And what was up with the vile of blood around the neck phase? Of course we acknowledge that Jolie has recently transformed herself into a humanitarian, goodwill ambassador and devoted mother. But when you get right down to it, you can’t beat Jen’s bubbly personality. This point goes to America’s sweetheart. Winner: Aniston Points 2 to 2.
Round 5: Physical Appearance

We come into the final round tied two apiece, and this is the one you’ve been waiting for: we have to decide who takes home the prize based on physical appearance. At first you would think that this would be an easy win for Angelina Jolie. She has those full luscious lips, distinctive features, dodgy tattoos, and has already been named the world’s sexiest and most beautiful woman alive. Sure, her status as a sex symbol is impressive. But has she ever inspired a hairstyle? No, she became the poster child for lip implants and starvation. It seems to us that these two are headed in opposite directions. Jolie is looking ever more sickly, and Aniston is getting better with age. You may disagree, but to us Aniston has managed a major upset in this final round. Winner: Aniston Points 3 to 2

By a score of 3 to 2, we give this showdown to Jennifer Aniston. She may not pull in the same numbers at the box-office, and has not yet received an Academy Award, but she won us over with her charm, personality and looks.
