Top 5 Things To Remember Before One Punch Man Season 2
VOICE OVER: Ashley Bowman WRITTEN BY: Alex Crilly-Mckean
The world's strongest hero is alive and punching. Welcome to WatchMojo and today we are counting down our picks for the Top 5 Things To Remember Before One Punch Man Season 2.

For this list, we'll be looking at the plot points you may want to keep in mind before checking out arguably the most hyped second season in modern anime. Get ready, there are more spoilers here than times Genos has had his body crushed!

#5: What is Sweet Mask’s Deal?!

Potential villain or general scumbag? Either way, this A-Rank hero has got some issues. His immense popularity and overall handsomeness haven’t only inflated his ego, but also his sense of self-importance, to the point where he’s more than happy to antagonize lower ranked heroes, especially when it comes to Genos. Perhaps these two are going to throw down in the near future? Will the ultimate disciple find himself a nemesis? Either way, if Sweet Mask keeps pushing, he might find that pretty mug of his melted away!

#4: Madhouse Has Left the Building

If you saw any of the trailers for season two and noticed a slight difference in the animation style, it’s not your eyes playing tricks on you. Turns out that Studio Madhouse are no longer running things, and have instead handed the reigns over to the likes of J.C.Staff. Whether they’ll be able to match Madhouse’s amazing animation from season one is yet to be seen, the studio has been behind big hits such as DanMachi, Food Wars and the Certain Magical Index franchise. Hopefully they can live up to everyone’s expectations!

#3: Genos’ Story Arc

Inbetween Saitama punching out the likes of intergalactic conquers and Sonic’s happy sack, you might have forgotten that Genos does indeed had another mission in life outside of becoming the One Punch Man’s disciple. After a rogue cyborg killed his loved ones, Genos turned himself into a machine in the hopes of one day getting revenge. We haven’t heard much in regards to this mysterious cyborg, but Genos was warned that Metal Knight was his enemy… what is his link to this tale?

#2: Saitama is Still Undefeated

Kind of obvious, but still worth mentioning for newcomers wondering if our titular hero has come close to being vanquished on any given occasion. Nope. Not even slightly. Pretty sure he hasn’t even worked up a sweat, and that’s including the time he got kicked into the moon. While Saitama is bound to clash with plenty of increasingly hostile heroes and villains down the line, we’ve quickly come to understand that it’s not about whether he’ll defeat them…but how. Chances are the results are going to range from hilarious to mind-blowing.

#1: Who Is the Strongest Man Alive?

Manga readers already know what’s up, but for anime-onlys, let’s just say that the character of King looks to play a massive role in the sequel series. While he’s Rank 7 among the S-Class of the Hero Association, King is known far and wide as the strongest mortal. Does his power live up to his name? Will he clash or conspire with the likes of Saitama? All we know is that it won’t be long before the One Punch Man shows him the true meaning of strength.
