Top 5 Things to Remember Before My Hero Academia Season 5
Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we are counting down our picks for the Top 5 Things to Remember Before My Hero Academia Season 5. For this list, we’ll be looking over the essential plot points you need to keep in mind before rejoining Class 1A for their fifth outing. Are you guys as excited for Mirko as we are? Let us know in the comments below!
#5: Mirio is Quirkless
The All-Star newcomer to the superhero scene, Mirio was set to become the next All Might. He had a good heart, was trained by Sir Nighteye, turned an apparently useless Quirk into something incredible, and was a shining example to all of UA High. And then Overhaul happened. By himself, Lemillion may have been enough to overcome the mafioso, but in the heat of battle was struck by a bullet containing the Quirk-Destroying Drug. What’s so amazing is that despite being left powerless, he’s still determined to continue on as a hero his mentor can be proud of.
#4: Gigantomachia
So, it turns out that All for One still has some aces up his sleeve, and by that we mean he’s got a literal giant ready to tear up heroes on his command. We still know very little about the beast known as Gigantomachia, only that he nearly squashed Mina a few years back, and seems to have enough power to blow a whole in a mountain. If he becomes a major player next season, then Deku had better learn to kick harder, because this is a far cry from Gentle Criminal.
#3: The League of Villains Have the Quirk-Killer-Bullet
Top 10 Things to Remember Before Hero Academia Season 6
Taking a back seat this season, Shigaraki and his cohorts were forced to play second fiddle to Overhaul and his Eight Bullets. At least until they made their play. Taking advantage of Overhaul’s defeat, the disciple of All for One pays back the gangster for previous humiliations by removing both of his arms. It’s a morbidly satisfying moment, but the real takeaway is that Shigaraki now has the bullets that can erase a person’s Quirk. What’s he going to do with it? Probably something horrendous.
#2: Endeavor Is No. 1
With All Might retired, it was only a matter of time before the current line up of top tier heroes was shuffled around, with none other than Endeavor taking the number one spot. Needless to say, the man had a lot to prove, not only because he was now having to live up to such an overwhelming legacy, but because he’s pulled some shady stunts in his life. Aka – abusing his family. While he’s nowhere near out of the woods on that front, his battle with High End nonetheless proved his willingness to take the first step to becoming the hero the world needs.
#1: Midoriya’s Quirk Is Evolving
Every Midoriya Fight Ranked (My Hero Academia)
So many questions, so many potential repercussions, and it all happened during a cliff-hanger! While dreaming, Deku appears to witness the confrontation between All for One and his younger brother – the first vessel of One for All, with the previous users like Nana Shimura also present. The dream comes to a sudden end…but not before Deku’s power activates and blows open the window. Is Deku going to be able to go full Avatar and communicate with his predecessors? Gain multiple Quirks? All we know is that he’s due a major upgrade!
