Mermaids are considered to be among the more beautiful and less bloodthirsty mythological creatures (for the most part), so it’s no surprise that a ton of them have ended up on the silver screen. In this teen fantasy flick, our titular mermaid is played by Sara Paxton and she is on a quest to prove to her father that true love does exist. Is it cheesy as hell? Absolutely. But there’s no denying you’ll want to get a piece of that tail by the end of it… get it? Because she’s part fish…

In what many consider to be the original live action mermaid rom-com, we are introduced to Madison, the stunning, slightly awkward, fish-tailed beauty of many men’s dreams. It doesn’t hurt that she also goes through several eye-catching outfits throughout the movie’s run either. While it’s true she’ll deceive you from the get-go, knowing that the ruler of Hell looks that good in a cheerleader uniform probably makes the whole damnation thing a little easier to swallow.

While Middle-earth is filled with plenty of gorgeous ladies, we had to give our vote to Arwen, who not only knows her way around a sword and the summoning of water horses, but she has also nailed the art of sexy crying. With a voice like silk and the face of a goddess, she even appears in her lover’s dreams when he needs help. It’s highly likely that every guy was thinking the same thing by the end of this trilogy: Aragorn, you lucky son of a gun!

She’s been the stubborn, mischievous and loyal sidekick of Peter Pan for almost a century, and time has done nothing to fade the cuteness of this fairy. Whether it’s the original animated version, which shows a fiercely overprotective Tink, or her live action incarnation where Julia Roberts brings her own brand of appeal, this little beauty made a big impact on all of our childhoods and is a pixie we won’t soon forget.

Last of the mermaids, we promise! Still, you can’t deny that the Little Mermaid known as Ariel was definitely one of Disney’s more risqué princesses. Especially where the costume was involved. Seashell bra aside, her kind heart and desire to explore the world beyond the ocean made her a character that was adored by moviegoers and critics alike. A few decades on? She’s still rocking that look. Personally, we love our mermaids how we love our drinks: on the rocks… get it, because in that one song she’s on… oh goddammit, will at least someone laugh at our jokes?!

While the movie might not bet the strongest entry in the series, any Terminator that can do this has to make this list. We rest our case.
#3: Lola Bunny “Space Jam” (1996)
Despite being a silly movie, and despite all the furry and bestiality jokes we’re going to get, there’s no denying that when it first came out, a lot of eyes were drawn to the sensual female lead of “Space Jam”… Lola Bunny. While her character would be dramatically improved and given more dimension in later “Looney Tunes” productions, that voice and that disturbingly visible chest puts this bunny on our list. Hey, what can we say, it was a different time back in 1996.
