“Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation” (2021-) It’s never a bad call to befriend a wish-granting demonic emperor, especially when they can bestow a nifty pair of eyes that add new meaning to the phrase “ahead of its time.” Rudeus was already a gifted swordsman, but now that he can see a few seconds into the future, he’s in an entirely different league altogether. It makes just looking at your opponent a near-absolute defense or automatic parry. While it’s not completely infallible since he still needs the reflexes to react accordingly, a few moments is all Rudeus needs to become something of a demon himself on the battlefield.

#9: Wish-Granting

“Hunter x Hunter” (2011-14) The Zoldyck family boasts no shortage of OP techniques, but the most powerful one doesn’t involve combat at all. If anyone fulfills enough of Alluka’s requests, the mysterious spirit Nanika takes over her body to grant a single wish. There’s no genie tricks or followup curse, just a small child capable of literally rewriting reality if asked. Though, getting to that point is something of a dual-edged fishing pole. While completing Alluka’s frivolous demands may earn you an audience with Nanika, denying too many of them leads to certain and swift death. With rules like that, babysitting her must be an absolute nightmare.

“Ranking of Kings” (2021-22) Just like the young prince himself, this form of swordsmanship doesn’t look all that impressive, but it’s astonishingly effective. It may seem counterintuitive, but Despa taught Bojji to withhold strength in his blows, and instead utilize his superior agility to strike precise points in armor or anatomy. This newfound skill lets the King-to-be topple even the most heavily fortified enemies with just a few stabs, sometimes without even drawing blood. Or, if he really wanted to send a message, he could just shatter their weaponry, too. With this kind of efficiency, Bojji’s basically become a speedrunner at one-on-one fights.

#7: Sonic Minimum

“Hamatora: The Animation” (2014) Nice can win most fights with a snap of a finger, and that’s no hyperbole. The headphones aren’t just a fashion statement, they help focus the sound waves around him. Then, all it takes is a “click,” and he’s riding frequencies at the literal speed of sound. Alongside an unmatched mobility, cruising the right pitch also turns his punches into sonic booms. There’s no running away from it, either, since his strikes are powerful enough to plow through even a moving vehicle. “Sonic Minimum” hits all the right notes.

#6: Megiddo

“That Time I Got Reincarnated As a Slime” (2018-) For those in need of gathering thousands of souls for a Harvest Festival, or just looking to dole out some much-deserved payback, look no further than this almighty Physics spell. By focusing light into lasers that then reflect off of water droplets, this magical blast can massacre an entire army in mere moments. As Rimuru shows to the Falmuth forces firsthand, nothing is quite as disrespectful as obliterating your enemy with one epic strike. Economical in both time and bloodshed, but it is also surprisingly energy efficient. For the low price of absolutely zero Magicule, the caster can completely decimate their enemy. Now that’s a net positive.

#5: Looting

“Charlotte” (2015) Yuu may not look all that tough, but he isn’t the one technically doing the fighting. He can take over a person’s mind for five seconds at a time, which is not only good for cheating on exams, but also for turning any opponent’s strength against themselves. Even in the face of other enhanced combatants, there’s nothing to worry about since plundering their minds also completely steals their power. That’s right, Yuu doesn’t just have one insanely busted superpower, he can also rob any ability he comes across. It may cost some of his sanity, but he doesn’t need to be fully lucid to win with this unstoppable skill.

#4: Time Manipulation

“Date A Live” (2013-) Time is the enemy no warrior can fully beat, which is why it’s wholly unfair that Kurumi’s magic bullets completely abuse it. It’s tough enough that she can freeze her opponent, make after-image clones, and predict every attack thrown at her, but she’s devious enough to use each to its full extent. Even if anyone were to somehow land a lucky strike, her temporal powers also let her rewind the clock to heal any of her own wounds. Sure, it drains her life force, but as long as her unbeatable bullets control the flow of the match, her victory is just a matter of time.

#3: Controlling Titans

“Attack on Titan” (2013-) The only thing scarier than these defromed monsters is a whole army of them. Until recently, humanity’s saving grace has been their ability to develop a unified strategy against the isolated behemoths. But, now the Titans can do the same thanks to the Founder’s talents, which makes the mighty foes mindless puppets in pursuit of a singular will. As if a handful of them weren’t dangerous enough, with an entire coordinated assault, the destructive capabilities are as massive as the Titans themselves. Since the Survey Corp has no way of resisting an onslaught of this magnitude, it feels like whoever controls the Titans, controls the world. Ain’t that right Eren.

“Medaka Box” (2012) Talk about going above and beyond normal Student Council duties. This feisty Class President doesn’t just beat any opponent she faces, but she does it with their own techniques. Medaka’s abnormality allows her to immediately imitate any power she sees, but befitting a student representative, she isn’t content with a perfect score. Instead of merely reflecting the ability, she fully masters it, even going so far as pushing it to 120% capability. Since she can easily replicate the strength of even the most overpowered enemy, it’s no wonder she literally holds the world in the palm of her hand.

#1: Revert to Zero

“JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind” (2018-19) Not even death can save anyone unlucky enough to face Gold Experience Requiem’s ultimate move. As its name implies, this insta-win attack is the absolute control-Z. It sets every value back to its initial state, completely nullifying any attack while healing any and all damage to the user. Enemies who succumb to this ability - which is everyone who encounters it - are then stuck in an endless loop of dying and resetting until the end of time. Alongside negating every enemy counterattack possible, it also has a side-effect of resetting any hope they had at winning the fight.
