The song is a not so subtle tale about autonomy, and came out following her divorce from Liam Hemsworth. If that wasn’t enough, Cyrus also sported a gold dress that resembled Jennifer Lawrence’s “Hunger Games” premiere dress. Hemsworth, who starred alongside Lawrence in the film, caused a media frenzy due to their alleged closeness. Since then, Cyrus has denied that the dress was a reference to Lawrence so, perhaps it’s all just a coincidence.
