Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we are counting down our picks for the Top 10 Anime Scenes That Are Probably Illegal.

For this list, we’re looking at the moments across anime that would most likely have resulted in the participants getting cuffed, charged and jailed. And we won’t be passing judgment alone. “Persona 4: The Animation” (2011-12)

Swapping out the Velvet Room for a night club, this scene proves that even with the threat of a serial killer, televisions that open portals to other worlds, and all the other craziness that the Investigation Team deal with – teenagers will always find a way to get drunk. Sorry, we aren’t buying the bullshit that they all got buzzed on soda. Everyone here is wasted, red-faced and one sip away from a Persona-filled orgy. That only comes from when you’re knocking back sake!

“Komi Can’t Communicate” (2021)

Komi’s school may be filled with every archetypal weirdo known to man, but even then, there are limits to what a student can get away with! Displaying stalker tendencies with just a hint of unfiltered yandere, Yamai goes all out to secure Komi for herself…which apparently includes snatching up, gagging and storing Tadano in her closet. That’s not funny, that’s terrifying! It’s kind of staggering that Tadano’s family didn’t call the authorities, or at the very least sue Yamai’s crazed ass back to the stone age. But hey, power of friendship always wins out in the end, apparently.

Now, I’m not a skater, but I suspect that when participating in a skateboarding tournament, beating your opponent’s face in with a board point-blank isn’t considered a sick trick as it is gross bodily harm. Taking on his old frenemy Adam in an intense race, Cherry looks set to win. Though, when you have Siri for a skateboard, how could you not? Alas, the cosplaying ninja has his dreams (and most of facial bones) crushed when Adam decides to switch things up and use own board as a weapon. Dude, this is SK8, not Berserk!

“Pokémon” (1997-)

What kind of cheating ass powerplay is this?! What made the higher ups decide it was fine for some rando to use legendaries while everyone else is stuck twiddling their Caterpies? That’s like bringing a Death Star to a knife fight. Well, that’s just what resident NPC edgelord Tobias did. Not only did he wipe through most of Ash’s team with just a Darkrai, but then the cheeky bastard had the gall to bring out a Latios to secure him a win. What’s next? Soloing everyone with an Arceus?

“Naruto Shippuden” (2007-17)

Shame on you Sasuke! How heartless do you have to be to attack a once great warrior who through time and tragedy lost the use of his appendages? Bad enough that he was in constant agony thanks to getting the soul sucked out of his arms (just go with it), but to then get an unexpected lightning bolt through the chest? Orochimaru deserved so much better! Where is your respect for our veterans?! Even if he is a body-snatching, torturing, snake-fetishist, have some decorum!

“JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” (2012-)

Taking a gander at a mature, beautiful woman while she’s naked in the tub, completely unaware? There’s a reason why Joseph sired two Joestar bloodlines during his life - the man doesn’t think so much with his head as he does his purple hermit. After coming across Lisa Lisa bathing, Joseph decides it would be a great idea to get an eyeful of her goods through a keyhole…even though we now know that she’s his biological mother. Wait…does that mean that incest is actually a JoJo reference?!

“Golden Boy” (1995-96)

Granted, everywhere that Kintaro goes, he somehow always ends up getting into ecchi situations with every lady he comes across. Basically, he’s the pioneer of every modern-day hentai protagonist. However, if there’s one example that really should have landed him in hot water, it would be the time he “accidentally” got a face full of crotch while competing in a swimming race. Apparently ducking under or veering around Ayuko wasn’t an option. Nope. He went all in on her crotch like a torpedo. He might have been able to talk his way out of it, but alas the subsequent boner pretty much sealed his fate.

“To Your Eternity” (2021)

We all like to drink. Sometimes a little too much. But getting your insides replaced by a literal distillery? That’s a step too far. While we’re sure Gugu was thankful that the quirky old man saved his life after he was nearly crushed by a log, to then use his bowels as a foundation for storing fantasy moonshine? That’s insane! It’s prohibition and abuse combined into one crazy, boozy package! People want to enjoy alcohol, not have it serve as a replacement for their intestines!

“The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace” (2021)

This is a tricky one. Not because of the content itself. That’s blatantly disgusting for all to see. It’s just hard to discuss it on this platform without Youtube having an aneurysm and banning us permanently. Simply put, Miku is a demon who is all about debauchery; seeking pleasure in whatever ways she can. Training prisoners to work as sex slaves? Basically her day job. Finding joy in the maiming of her own comrades? A kink that she regularly gets off on. Repopulating the demon race through…some really, really, questionable means? Yeah, it’s easy to see how the creator of this title went on to make Interspecies Reviewers.

“Eromanga Sensei” (2017)

Ah yes, the anime that nearly broke Australia. Guess that happens when your main character is so obviously in her pre-teens and yet spends her days drawing erotic material for a living, whilst also building up affection towards her stepbrother. Eromanga is truly trash at the best of times, and we like to think that if Sagiri’s parents were still alive, they would put a stop to their daughter illustrating exposed panties. Then again, this is Eromanga. We wouldn’t be shocked if they decided that posting images of camel toes was a viable career path.
