The 10 WORST Final Fantasy Games

Welcome to MojoPlays! I hope you have a Phoenix Down. Because today we're looking at the Worst Final Fantasy Outfits of all time.

Vaan

"Final Fantasy XII" (2006) He might be the protagonist and the poster boy, but it's fair to say Vaan doesn't exactly dress the part. Besides a light vest, this wannabe sky pirate essentially fights topless with armor only on his forearms. His bottom-half however, is an over-the-top mix of red, turquoise and heavy metal plating. This lack of balance in Vaan's attire leaves him appearing overdressed and underdressed at the same time. With everyone else's clothing appearing to a mix of high fantasy and European fashion, it just looks like Vann has forgotten half of his outfit.

Thief Paine

"Final Fantasy X-2" (2003) We may be being uber specific here, but come on, have you seen Paine's thief dressphere? Yeah, she gets new blades, but the rest of her attire is just so...freeing. Despite an open midriff, Paine's extended sleeves and shorts just come across as strange. The bottoms also have built-in holes, plus she wears a thong over them rather than under them. She also sports boots with high heels, and socks that end near her knees. Needless to say, the combination looks downright uncomfortable and more importantly, unfashionable. Though the dressphere is a great battle mechanic in 'X-2,' Paine's thief class is far too flashy for any real thieving.

Ashe

"Final Fantasy XII" (2006) Rather than one item messing up a whole look, Ashe's entire aesthetic is made from mismatched accessories. Her skirt is essentially two pink squares loosely held together, with a seemingly disconnected belt to hold it up. Her blouse flips around to coattails at her belly, with a partial leather corset covering the rest. Even her legs go from armor to drapes to braces to socks to heels! Ultimately, Ashe is just wearing too many pieces together, and all the unusual lengths of material only add to her problems. Considering Ashe starts 'XII' off in an elegant wedding dress, her biggest crime of is that she ruins what could be a very chic look.

Lulu

"Final Fantasy X" (2001) What do we have here? A fairly straightforward mage outfit with a brown gown and a sharp fur collar? Sounds pretty decent - oh wait, the front of her dress cuts off to reveal a mass of belts of different colors and sizes. The loose, tumbling appearance of these accessories would cause anyone to trip while moving - not something you want when fighting Aeons. There are also additional belt crosses on her arms, which feel nonsensical to say the least. Though let's be honest here people, when crafting said outfit, the developers were equally interested in showing off some skin as they were making a badass sorceress' outfit.

Tidus

"Final Fantasy X" (2001) Ah yes - the man, the myth, the haunting laugh. He may have been flung into a world-saving adventure straight from a Blitzball game, but his uniform doesn't exactly seem great for sports either. One of his pant legs is massive while another is skin-tight. Together, it just look awful. His shirt is partly yellow and partly blue, with sleeves that run different lengths on either side. The overall asymmetrical effect of this outfit is frustrating to look at, and the clashing colors don't help either. Tidus may look funny, but his poor style coordination is no laughing matter.

Nooj

"Final Fantasy X-2" (2003) This guy's red corduroy jumpsuit is so strange it might as well be a summon! The purple sleeves and bizarre boots would be bad enough, but then you notice how Nooj's is rocking the fur shoulder pads and suddenly you don't know where to look! The lop-sided placement leaves the whole thing looking rather trashy. His left arm and leg are robotic, but they don't even match each other color-wise. This leaves Nooj with a massive blue limb next to otherwise warm colors in the rest of his ensemble. With all of his dangling hair and poorly mixed accessories, one can't help but look at this guy and think robotic clown.

Kuja

"Final Fantasy IX" (2000) As wonderful as it is for anyone to love their own body, Kuja's banana hammock is just too in-your-face. Said underwear also has multiple ribbons holding it up, like its just begging passers by to take a gander. Kuja also rocks a blanket-like skirt, which droops loosely from his hips to the floor. His boots and leggings however, look like armor made of cotton, flowing out in weird ripples. Considering how protected and layered some parts of Kuja are, his exposed skin leaves the outfit looking excessively unbalanced. While pushing gender norms in the world of fashion is cool, Kuja's look just doesn't work...

Luso

"Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift" (2007) Apparently soldiers in the world of Ivalice get a lot more choice when it comes to their outfits, or maybe Luso just gets special treatment. His arms are covered in random bits of fabric, different gauntlets and two circular elbow shields that would be nearly useless. His sword also looks like a giant pizza cutter, which is kind of unforgivable in a franchise famous for giant, badass blades. With additional sheets, buttons and even a ladybug, there's just too much going on with Luso from a visual standpoint. Luckily he's a sprite in 'Tactics A2' so you don't have to see his whole wardrobe constantly.
