Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we’re counting down our picks for the Top 10 Most Liked YouTube Videos of 2021.
For this list, we’ll be looking at videos with the most likes on the video sharing platform! We’ll be excluding any music videos as otherwise this list would be dominated by them!
Do you think these videos deserve the likes? Let us know what you think in the comments!
#10: CHOTU KE GOLGAPPE | छोटू के गोलगप्पे | Khandesh Hindi Comedy | Chotu Comedy Video
The Indian side of YouTube is a lot bigger than anyone from the west might assume. “Khandeshi Movies” follows Shafeeq Shaikh, a man short of stature who produces comedy skits from a rural village in India. He started the channel in 2013 with the help of another YouTuber: Mr. Wasim Anjum, with whom he regularly collaborates. “CHOTU KE GOLGAPPE” follows Shafeeq as he takes over a food stand, dealing with a rude owner and unsatisfied customers. It went viral, currently sporting 1.4 billion views with a notable 5 million likes.
#9: Talking Angela – Summer Fun at the Beach with Talking Tom (Shorts Combo)
Children’s content dominates on YouTube, with the many nursery rhyme videos from Cocomelon and LooLoo Kids being watched by billions. But if we’re looking at non-music-related videos, the characters from the popular chatbot app surpass them all! Talking Angela and her male counterpart Talking Tom try to go to the beach in this video with plenty of slapstick humour along the way. It has nearly 1.8 billion views, and as a result, also features 5 million likes. There are also 2.4 million dislikes, but the comments are turned off, so you can’t tell what people like and don’t like about the video.
#8: Rescue Abandoned Puppies Building Mud House Dog And Fish Pond For Red Fish
If you want to get some likes in a video, you feature some animals in wholesome moments. Wilderness TV follows a builder who uses natural resources to build beautiful structures for his pets on private land. In this video, he creates a mud house and fishpond for some rescues, and it’s as heartwarming as it sounds. While most of his videos get millions of views, this is his most viral of the bunch at 720 million! This, of course, pumps up the number of people who can hit that like button, smashing it all the way to 5.2 Million.
#7: ANIVERSÁRIO DE RICO E ANIVERSÁRIO DE POBRE
Whindersson Nunes Batista is a comedian who was the most subscribed Brazilian YouTube channel in 2016. During this video, Batista discusses a funny situation at a wealthy friend’s birthday party. The video was so funny among fans that it was adapted into some animated versions! His straight-to-camera vlogs are usually quite popular, but this one has them all beat in terms of likes at 5.8 Million. Portuguese-speaking content has a massive audience on the platform, with Snack network determining him to be the second most influential YouTuber in the world, only behind PewDiePie.
#6: Ping Pong Trick Shots 3 |
There is nothing more rewarding than practicing a cool trick endlessly and eventually getting it just right. With Dude Perfect, we get to share those incredible moments they have done repeatedly. As the second most subscribed sports channel on YouTube, there is no shortage of people who want to see these guys perform the impossible to perfection. In this video, in particular, we are privy to some ridiculous trick shots with Ping Pong balls, each more elaborate than the last. While there are more famous examples of the team performing extraordinary stunts, it’s the third iteration in their Ping Pong series that got the most likes at 6.4 million!
#5: STOP MAKING ASSUMPTIONS | YOUTUBE VS TIK TOK: THE END
This vertical video seems innocuous enough, but the reason it got so many likes isn’t because of its content; it’s because it addressed another controversial video that YouTube took down. CarryMinati is one of the most popular comedy/commentary YouTubers from India. In May of 2020, the YouTuber published “YouTube Vs. TikYok - The End”, a video response to Amir Siddiqui, who had criticized YouTube creators for roasting TikTok users. The video went viral but was taken down after being reported for abusive language referencing the LGBTQ+ community. Once the YouTuber uploaded this video responding to the events, his fans launched it to 8.9 million likes.
#4: YouTube Rewind 2018, but it's actually good
When the 2018 iteration of YouTube Rewind hit the internet, the community was not impressed. As we mentioned early, it became the most disliked video on the entire platform, and its sequel in 2019 led to the series’ cancellation. But if there is one thing that YouTube creators are known for, it’s for their drive and ingenuity to get things done! In response to the lackluster Rewind, PewDiePie collaborated with musician Partyinbackyard and popular meme video editors Grandayy, Dolan Dark, and FlyingKitty to make up for it. As a result, the video blew up, currently at 9.5 Million likes, and was one of the most liked creator videos on the platform. That is until a particular “beastly” gentleman decided to rally the troops.
#3: Me at the Zoo
The YouTube platform launched back in 2005, and to test the venue, the founders decided to film and upload a video to the site. That video was “Me at the Zoo.” Co-founder Jawed Karim stood before the camera, describing the elephants behind him at the San Diego Zoo. This video marks a crucial moment in internet history, where a great website was born and gave anybody the chance to broadcast. As with many of the classic videos of the early era-YouTube, the video has a lot of views and comments. So it’s also fitting that this iconic moment sports 10 Million Likes, solidifying itself as the second most liked non-music video on YouTube.
#2: Make This Video The Most Liked Video on YouTube
Rarely does a video get to a record-breaking level of likes by just asking for it? But then again, MrBeast has always loved going above and beyond with his YouTube videos. So, inspired by the photo of an egg on Instagram and Twitter that became the most liked and retweeted photo on the social media platforms, famous content creator Jimmy Donaldson dared his audience to smash that like button millions of times. While the goal was to become the second most liked behind PewDiePie’s 2018 YouTube Rewind, it got pretty far and surpassed it, adding up to the current 19 Million Likes.
#1: How Zach King Gets Away With Doing Graffiti
