Hideo Kojima “Still Scripting” Death Stranding

Looks Like We’ve Got A Ways To Go

The man behind the Metal Gear Solid franchise has certainly succeeded in whetting our appetites for his next project; Death Stranding. Mostly by confusing us with a series of creepy trailers that tell us nothing about the gameplay, but have confirmed that a delightfully evil Mads Mikkelsen and naked Norman Reedus will be serve as our villain and hero.

We have full confidence in Kojima’s ability as a storyteller as well as his knack for pushing video game boundaries. After all, he gave us a demo for the cancelled Silent Hills that managed to put most other horror games to shame.

So how close are we to Death Stranding? Well, apparently it is still being written…

According to an article on Gaming Bolt

We’ve heard little of Death Stranding since it was announced all that time ago, other than a few snippets of information every now and then. We don’t even know how far away from launch the game is, and yet we’re extremely excited about it, thanks to the fact that it’s being made by Hideo Kojima and his team.

Which is why every new piece of information we find on Death Stranding is exciting too- and that’s what we’ve got today. Hideo Kojima recently took to Twitter to give fans a small update on where his upcoming game is at in the development process, and it looks like he is currently working on writing the script for the game.

Kojima, of course, didn’t go into any details. Death Stranding is, as of yet, without a release date, but we’re expecting it to be around two years away from release. So it seems that it may still be a while before Kojima decides to reveal anything major about the game.

Be sure to check out the official trailer for Death Stranding below if you want to get a taste of the madness you are eventually in for.
