Roughly one third of Luxembourg is covered in forest, which is why the country is often called "the green heart of Europe." The Moselle region of Luxembourg is the country’s most successful wine region, due to its warm and sunny weather. This area is also a popular destination for wine tours and tastings, with white wines being the most commonly produced here. The region is named for the Moselle River which flows through the area, and which can be traversed on a calming boat cruise.
