Top 5 Things We Want to See in Grey's Anatomy Season 15
#5: More Crossovers with “Station 19”
When “Grey’s” gets a spin-off, you know we’re going to be watching. And now with Shondaland show “Station 19” starting its second season in October 2018, we’re hoping that we’ll get to see a lot more interaction between the people at Grey Sloan and and the local firefighters. “Station 19” did get a backdoor pilot through “Grey’s,” so the precedent has been set with the two shows overlapping, and we are excited for the many possibilities. Jason George, one of the stars of the new spin-off, took to Twitter in August 2018, and ever so subtly alluded to the fact that the heroes of the Seattle Fire Department will be paying Grey Sloan a visit.
#4: Solid Storylines with New Doctors
Any fan of “Grey’s” knows that actors and characters come and go from the show with regularity, and the cast we’re looking at for season fifteen is almost completely different from the one we were introduced to in the pilot. The trailer for the new season shows that we’re getting two new doctors on staff at Grey Sloan, played by Chris Carmack and Alex Landi. Carmack will be “Ortho God,” - ahem, rather, Dr. Link, a highly skilled orthopedic surgeon who is there to mix things up. Landi will be acting as Dr. Nico Kim, who has been lauded as the first male surgeon on the show who is openly gay.
#3: More Jo & Alex
These two characters may have gotten their happily ever after at the end of season 14, but because this is “Grey’s”, we know that wedding bells don’t necessarily mean that a couple is in the clear. What we found out in the previous season’s finale was that Jo was admitted to a fellowship program that is located in Massachusetts, meaning these two are going to have some pretty big decisions to make. Will they try to go long distance? Will this cause their marriage to dissolve before it even got started? We can’t wait to find out.
#2: Owen, Teddy & Amelia's Love Triangle
This was a major storyline in season fourteen, but didn’t quite get resolved. Whether you ship Owen/Teddy or Owen/Amelia (and we know fans are split), you can hope to see more of this love triangle in upcoming episodes. With Teddy’s pregnancy -- with Own possibly being the father, and things heating up between Owen and Amelia again, this might get messy. But don’t worry, this isn’t just going to be stale drama. Kim Raver, who plays Teddy, mentioned in a Hollywood Reporter interview that, “We're in 2018 and I pitched, if we can, not having woman pitted against woman. Amelia and Teddy definitely have what they want, but maybe there's a different way to approach it.” What does it MEAN?
#1: The Return of Dr. Nick Marsh
Ever since Derek’s death near the end of season eleven, fans have been searching for someone who can make Meredith happy again. They got a glimmer of hope in the season fourteen episode "One Day Like This" when a “smart, funny and hot” doctor showed up on the scene who seemed like a contender to be a romantic interest for Meredith. Unfortunately though, he only appeared in the one episode, never to be seen again. Considering how great the chemistry was between these two though, we’re really hoping the character makes a return. Actor Scott Speedman says it’s not going to happen, but we’re going to choose to believe Meredith Grey herself that a reunion could be in store come season 15!
