Though she may have only been a teenager when the show first aired, Raven Symoné was actually an executive producer on her Disney Channel show, “That’s So Raven”. The show ran from 2003 to 2007 and Raven produced 22 of the show’s 100 episodes. It would only make sense that she would continue to produce the spin-off show, “Raven’s Home” which aired exactly a decade after the final episode of “That’s So Raven.” This means Raven will have creative control over the series and be able to give input on the story’s direction.

While a show like “That’s So Raven” or the new “Raven’s Home” might be seen as pure fun and entertainment, the creators still want fans to know that the message behind their creation is one they hope hits home. They wanted to put an emphasis on the possible longevity of female friendship when showing how close Raven and Chelsea are even after many years and life changes. Raven has also expressed that she wants viewers to take away the value of respectful and clear communication with one another.
