Bonnie’s been put through the ringer on this show with numerous attempts on her life, becoming the human anchor to The Other Side, and trying to kill all her friends when she became the huntress– just to name a few of her struggles. We all expected Bonnie’s powers to come back after Damon killed the corpse of the last shaman, but they haven’t. It was a devastating blow to watch her struggle with that in addition to losing Enzo and Damon. It would be nice to see her back to her old witchy self, and Kat Graham even said she wants to play Bonnie as a witch one more time. Give an actress her final wish!
#4: Will Stefan & Caroline Finally Get Married?

Fans of the show have been shipping Steroline for almost three seasons now, so it’s only fair these two finally get married. In the first part of Season 8, they did get engaged, but of course nothing’s ever simple. For starters, there’s still the issue of Caroline’s twins with Alaric that she was forced to give up in order to protect them. Being separated from your kids doesn’t seem like the best circumstances to get hitched under. Speaking of Alaric, how will he feel about them getting married? After everything he’s gone through, he’s another character we want to find love, but the Steroline union could prevent that. It doesn’t seem like this love triangle is fully resolved yet.
#3: Will Some of the Cast Members Go Over to “The Originals?”
Even though the show is ending, we’re not ready to say goodbye to the characters just yet. So it would make perfect sense if some of them crossed over to “The Originals.” As the spin-off of “The Vampire Diaries,” the show has managed to create its own world of supernatural backstabbing and betrayals that has rivaled the drama on TVD. They’ve done crossovers of the two shows in the past with both Caroline and Stefan visiting New Orleans over the course of the seasons, so why not make them permanent members of the cast? We would tune in for sure to see Steroline in a new setting.
#2: Will Damon & Stefan Still be Attached to Cade?
In one of the best twists in the first half of Season 8, Stefan and Damon made one of the show’s biggest sacrifices when they offered their souls to Cade in exchange for letting Caroline and Alaric’s twins go free. Cade eagerly took them up on their offer, since it’s later revealed that he’s known of Stefan for quite some time and always thought he’d be the perfect servant. Matters only got more complicated in the midseason finale when Stefan struck up a deal with Cade to turn off his humanity in order to feed him more souls in a quicker time frame, one year instead of eternity. We left off with Damon and Stefan leaving Mystic Falls to go on a killing spree, and we don’t see this ending well for the brothers. We need this series to end with our Salvatores perfectly intact!

Elena’s been gone since the Season 6 finale when her character was cursed to sleep for the rest of Bonnie’s life, but on a show like “Vampire Diaries” we know that anything can happen. Characters come back to life all the time on supernatural shows– just look at Alaric on this one. So we’re sure they can find a loophole to bring her back without killing Bonnie. And it would be totally unfair for this show to end without a Delena reunion! The President of The CW, Mark Pedowitz, has kept silent on whether our heroine Elena Gilbert will return, but he has promised that it will be a “fantastic series finale.” Here’s hoping that it includes Elena!
