#10: Top 10 WatchMojo Top 10s of 2013

WatchMojo celebrated our 20th anniversary in 2026, and we’ve been looking back on that time through a number of our online features. This wasn’t the first time we used an anniversary as an excuse for some meta-commentary, as evidenced by this list that was posted to celebrate our eighth anniversary in 2013. The, ahem, “Top 10 WatchMojo Top 10s of 2013” was intended as a way of looking at our content that felt reflective, or perhaps internally critical. The wording, however? Yeah, it’s more than a bit dodgy, right? We’d like to think that our celebratory pats on the back went over a bit better in 2026, but we’re not sure. How’d we do?

#9: Top 10 Cocktails That Men Enjoy

Consider this list something we’d probably title differently in the modern day… that is, if we decided to do something like this at all. The idea of ranking cocktails, on the surface, seems totally fine, but separating them by gender feels sort of redundant, right? After all, everybody’s taste is different, and there’s no real dividing line between what somebody would like to drink. Looking back on this one now, it seems like our thought process was on a certain track, but the final product needed some tweaking prior to actually posting our video!

#8: Top 10 Great Movies That Are Kind of Boring

What’s in a word? Well, quite a bit, actually, if you watch this video on our main site, as opposed to YouTube. The original article for this one is titled “The Top Masterpieces That Are Kind of Boring,” whereas on YouTube, this video went out as “Top 10 Great Movies That Are Kind of Boring.” The former does a better job at defending ourselves from the slings, arrows, tomatoes, or banana cream pies that might be tossed at us after the video was finished. And yes, we realize taste is very subjective, but the backlash to this one was very real, probably deserved, but also impossible to take back.

#7: Top 10 Fat Guys in Movies & TV

Is 2014 too recent to be referred to as “a different time?” We hope so, because how else could we defend what could easily be perceived as an insensitive video topic? Our “Top 10 Fat Guys in Movies and TV.” was intended to be celebratory, as opposed to condemnatory, but we can also easily see how this intent could be misconstrued. Would we redo this topic today? Maybe, but if that were to happen, our “Top 10 Fat Guys” would have to have some kind of other, less inconsiderate labeling, that’s for sure.

#6: Top 10 Celebrities That are Supposedly in the Illuminati

Speculation! Speculation! Speculation! This video had a whole lot of that, not to mention our tongues planted firmly in our proverbial cheeks. Our list of the “Top 10 Celebrities That Are Supposedly in the Illuminati” had a lot of fun with a very loose and silly topic. Maybe a little too much fun, since we actually tripled down on this list, upping our totals, at the time of this writing, to thirty, count ‘em, THIRTY lizard people… ahem, we mean “celebrities.” That’s right, “celebrities,” who just may run the world.

#5: Top 10 Fictional Movie & TV Owls

You know a WatchMojo list is special when our own Rebecca Brayton highlights it when looking back at our 20th anniversary. We consider our “Top 10 Fictional Movie and TV Owls” as a great example of going niche and loving every second of it. Is that title and topic ridiculous? Yes! But it’s also part and parcel with what we do here at WatchMojo, ranking everything about pop culture, and allowing room for everything, and we mean everything, at our internet dinner table. So yeah, why not talk about awesome owls from movies and TV? Anyone who’s watched “Clash of the Titans” or a “Harry Potter” movie knows what we’re talking about, and that’s enough for us.

#4: Top 10 Ways to Cook Potatoes That’ll Change Your Life

So, the person scripting this video is also the same writer from our list, “Top 10 Ways to Cook Potatoes That’ll Change Your Life.” This is another video where the title reads differently on our website, which retains the original headline of “Top 10 Potato Recipes.” That title is, admittedly, fairly bland, which meant it was time for some good, old-fashioned YouTube hyperbole! The decision was made to switch things up to a “change your life” angle, which is a little intense, but at least it wasn’t as aggressive as that time we did a “Top 10 Foods You Need to Eat at Breakfast.” Sorry, we tried to tell you how to live your lives, guys.

#3: Top 10 Movie Wedgies

So, we’re judging things solely on the amount of views, guys. If loving wedgies is wrong, then our Mojoholics don’t wanna be right. How else could we explain how our list of “Top 10 Wedgies” has, at the time of this writing, over two million views? WatchMojo either has a dedicated following of high school tormentors from the 1980s checking out our stuff, or you all just had some morbid curiosity as to what our list was gonna be. The bloom seemed to be off the rose when it came to the “Top 20” sequel, however, because apparently, more than 10 movie wedgies were just too much. We totally understand.

#2: Top 10 Booty Songs

We’re sure that there’s at least one of you out there who was sorely disappointed that we never did a sequel to our “Top 10 Booty Songs.” Or maybe there’s one of us that’s secretly dying to increase our original list from 2015 into a full Top 20. This is despite the surprisingly basic title this video had back in the day. We’re sure that, if we were to do this one now, we’d have some way to make a title that’s more imaginative than “Top 10 Booty Songs,” but maybe we’re overthinking it? Perhaps this Ode to Bums was just perfect the way it was.

#1: Top 10 Soups

“Soup Is Good Food,” said both the Campbell’s Company and the Dead Kennedys back in the day, and our Mojoholics seemed to agree back in 2017 when they suggested this topic! The title was short, succinct, and to the point, although we’d probably give it a little bit more razzle-dazzle today. If we’re being honest, though, writing and producing videos about food is a lot of fun, including this ode to everything soup. At the same time, however, this video also ties into our belief that there will always be another idea around the corner. Another idea to create, to engage, and to celebrate everything about what you want to watch, and how we love bringing it to you!
