Top 10 Wackiest Shows for Young Children Coos, giggles and lots of color are just some of the things we see in children’s television shows. Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today we’ll be taking a look at the top ten wackiest TV shows created for young children.

Number 10: Backyardigans (2004- Present)

This animated musical is centered on five animals friends. Their names are Uniqua (pink), Pablo (blue), Tyrone (moose), Tasha (hippo), and Austin (purplish). In each episode, these pals use their vivid imaginations to embark on new and exciting adventures.

Number 9: Bananas in Pajamas (1992-2002)

On the cul-de-sac of Cuddles Avenue, you’ll find two silly bananas that are always in their pajamas. Each episode is a new wild adventure with B1 and B2 and their friends the teddies and Rat in the Hat.

The Wiggles are known as the world’s biggest pre-school band. The group creates music and dances based on simple concepts familiar to young children. Aside from the four wiggles, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Henry the Octopus and Wags the dog appear with the group, on their DVDs, and in their concerts.

Number 7: Veggie Tales (2006- Present)

After great success with their videos, Bob the Tomato, Larry the Cucumber, and their friends invite viewers into Bob’s house for an episode of Veggie Tales. In the show, the nutritious characters address childhood problems, and emphasize religion, with their fun and whacky antidotes.

Number 6: Teletubbies (1997-2001)

Babies enjoy watching the teletubbies coo and play in Teletubbyland. Tinky Winky, who is purple; Dipsy, who is green; Laa-Laa, who is yellow; and Po, who is red, enjoy playing in the meadow and watching real children on the TVs on their bellies. Although this series is for children between the ages of one and four, many college kids tuned in due to the psychedelic qualities of the show.

Created by two fathers due to their frustration with children’s television, this fun-live action program is hosted by DJ Lance Rock, who introduces us to the friendly toy monsters who love to play and dance. Muno, the red Cyclops, Foofa the pink flower bubble, Brobee the green little one, Toodee the blue cat-dragon, and Plex the robot are always happy to sing, play and teach.

Number 3: Boohbah (2003-2005)

Humbah (yellow) Zumbah (Purple) Zing Zing Zingbah (Orange) Jumbah (blue) and Jongbah (Pink) as magical atoms of power that do no speak. Instead, they emit musical notes and flashes of color. The Boohah’s live with the story-people, who narrate the episodes, in Story Land.

Howdy Doody is a redheaded, freckled faced marionette, who along with Buffalo Bob Smith and their friends, entertained children between 1947 and 1960. It was one of the first, and easily one the most popular children’s television shows ever created.
