Top 10 Worst Things Angelica Pickles Has Done On Rugrats
If you grew up in the '90s, you definitely watched this classic animated Nickelodeon show about Tommy Pickles, his family and a whole gaggle of his toddler friends and acquaintances. Now, a whole new generation of kids (and, well, kids at heart), will get a chance to have fun on the playground because the network has decided to bring back the series. 26 episodes have been ordered (so far) from the original show creators, but there isn't a release date yet. But the best part is, in 2020, we'll actually also be getting a live-action (and CGI) "Rugrats" film!
#9: “Party of Five”

The premise of Fox’s teen drama “Party of Five” was that the five Salinger children were left orphaned after their parents were killed in a car accident. This reboot is going to have an interesting (and somewhat political) twist however, with the Salingers becoming the Buendías family, and the parents being deported back to Mexico rather than being killed by a drunk driver. The new show will be produced by Freeform, and while we don’t have a release date yet, all the major players, including original series creators Chris Keyser and Amy Lippman, are in place.
#8: “Designing Women”
Who would have thought we’d ever get to see more of Sugarbaker and Associates? “Designing Women” aired in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s and focused on the employees of an interior design firm. The original creator, Linda Bloodworth Thomason, will be writing the script for the sequel, which looks like it’ll be airing on ABC. The story will be about the next generation of Sugarbaker and Associates designers. Topical dialogue on social and cultural issues was always a big part of the show’s storylines, so we can see why a sequel would appeal to modern audiences.
#7: “Bewitched”
Even if you’re too young to have watched “Bewitched” during its original airing, it’s enough of a pop culture staple that you’re probably familiar with the concept. A witch marries a mortal man, and hilarity ensues. This revival pilot episode, which is being penned by “Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris, has an interesting twist however: it’s going to focus on an interracial couple. Yes, the new Samantha will be a black woman, who is contending with not just issues of the magical vs the mortal, but also the racial divide.
#6: “The Twilight Zone”
The Twilight Zone vs American Horror Story
The classic sci-fi/fantasy/horror anthology series “The Twilight Zone” has already been revived twice since its original run ended in 1964. In 2019, we’ll be getting a version for the modern era, and it feels like the timing couldn’t be better, with a rise in popularity in the format. The project, which will be airing on CBS All Access, has an ace up its sleeve: co-executive producer, narrator and presenter Jordan Peele. What more could you ask for? We don’t have a release date yet, but filming is expected to last until March of 2019.
#5: “Daria”
How many of us can say we developed some of our dark teenage personas from this iconic character? Daria was an inspiration to us all, and it turns out she’ll be influencing the next generation of kids as well. The revival was announced in June 2018 for MTV Studios, MTV’s new reboot initiative, and is tentatively titled “Daria & Jodie”. The press release for the new show goes like this: "These two smart young women take on the world, with their signature satirical voice while deconstructing popular culture, social classes, gender and race." Definitely sounds interesting!
#4: “Animaniacs”

It's time for Animaniacs...and they're zany to the max! Here’s some more good news for ‘90s kids who crave further adventures from old faves. Hulu has already ordered two seasons of an “Animaniacs” revival, which will feature classic characters like Yakko and Wakko and Dot with their signature crazy antics, as well as a bunch of new characters and scenarios. Steven Spielberg was the executive producer of the original series, and he’ll be reprising his role. We may have to wait for 2020 to see this animated reboot, but we have a feeling it’ll be worth it.
#3: “The Hills”

Can you make a revival of the much-loved reality show “The Hills” without its star, Lauren Conrad? Turns out you can; and MTV thinks it’ll work because “The Hills: New Beginnings” will be premiering in 2019. You want continuity? You got it! Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Stephanie Pratt, Audrina Patridge, Whitney Port, Jason Wahler, Justin Bobby and Brody Jenner will all be back, but along with Conrad, Kristin Cavallari and Lo Bosworth will not be returning. Interestingly though, former teen idol Mischa Barton of “The O.C.” fame will be appearing on the show, which will definitely spice things up a bit.
#2: “Roswell”
In early 2018, The CW ordered a pilot episode of a “re-imagining” of the TV show “Roswell”, called “Roswell, New Mexico” and based on the “Roswell High” book series; and by May it was revealed that it had been ordered to series. The new story has an interesting twist however, with main character Liz Ortecho being the daughter of undocumented immigrants, and she is trying to protect one of the town’s police officers, her old crush who . . . just so happens to be an alien. You can look forward to this one soon, as it’ll be premiering as a mid-season entry on January 15th, 2019. Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions. “The Jetsons” “ALF”
#1: “Veronica Mars”

This show was already revived as a feature film in 2014 (after a famously successful Kickstarter campaign helped make it happen). Four years later, fans still wanted more of their favorite teen private investigator, so Hulu ordered an additional mini-season to be created. The 8 new episodes will take place five years after the events of the film, and so far we know that Kristen Bell and some regulars like Jason Dohring will star in the series (thank the heavens!) but the rest of the deets remain somewhat uncertain, although it will be a murder mystery set in Neptune. The new content will be airing in 2019 though, so we don’t have long to wait to get all the details!
