#10: Emily Ratajkowski as Marge Simpson

Top 10 Times Emily Blunt & John Krasinski Made Us Believe In Love

This stunning young model and actress has made a serious name for herself in the biz. When she was choosing her costume for Halloween 2015, she could have opted for a traditionally “sexy” costume and called it a day. But instead, she showed up to Heidi Klum’s famous annual Halloween bash wearing this inspired and ambitious costume. Of course, this is Emily Ratajkowski we’re talking about here; so naturally, she managed to make yellow skin and tall blue hair totally work. Shortening Marge’s iconic green dress and adding a few inches to the heels, she truly owned the night and the costume.

#9: Christian Siriano as Babette

Speaking of showing a bit of skin… how about the number worn by Christian Siriano to the same annual Halloween bash in 2010? Though now-husband Brad Walsh certainly looked dashing in his Lumiere outfit, in this instance a feather duster somehow outshone the candelabra. This couple has a tradition of going dressed as Disney characters, but this “Beauty and the Beast” number is a clear standout, thanks to Siriano’s willingness to really embrace the sensuality of Babette. With its beautiful oversized black and white feathered bottom, sheer bodysuit and naughty apron… this outfit was truly unforgettable.

#8: Chrissy Teigen as Child Pageant Star

Model and personality Chrissy Teigen is known for her sharp wit, as well as her excellent fashion sense. Bringing the two together to wonderful effect in 2011, she dressed up as a child pageant star. Modeling herself after the overly made-up contestants from “Toddlers and Tiaras”, Teigen was clearly having fun in her costume - which involved a big blonde wig in an updo, a short frilly pink dress and a whole lot of makeup. Of course, it’s the underlying social commentary of this quote unquote “sexy Halloween costume” that really made it such a winner.

#7: Bethenny Frankel as Marilyn Monroe

This particular Halloween costume is fairly over-exposed. That’s what makes this effort by reality star Bethenny Frankel so remarkable: she took a costume that’s so overdone it’s considered a cop-out, and managed to make it her own. And when you’re impersonating Marilyn Monroe, that’s no small feat! Rather than the iconic flowing white dress so many love to don, Frankel wore Monroe’s bubblegum pink number. From the hair, makeup, jewelry, gloves and dress to her Joe DiMaggio arm candy, it was all picture-perfect.

#6: Adam Levine & Anne V as Axl Rose & Stephanie Seymour

There’s something novel about seeing one musical icon dress up as another for Halloween. It’s even better when you’ve got a partner willing to get in on the joke. Back in 2011, when singer Adam Levine and supermodel Anne V were an item, they dressed up as Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose and his former girlfriend, supermodel Stephanie Seymour. Anne rocks the absurdly short wedding dress just as well as Seymour ever did, and Levine is the spitting image of Axl from that era.

#5: Alexa Chung as Zombie Marie Antoinette

Dressing up as a historical figure is always a safe bet on Halloween. The costumes are usually dignified, and – should you opt to go the royal route – downright elegant. But when this multi-talented British host, writer, fashion designer and model chose to impersonate the famed Queen of France, Marie Antoinette, she chose to play the historical figure as she is today. As in… dead. That’s right! In 2008, for the Browns Focus Halloween party at House of St Barnabas in Soho, which she was hosting, Chung rocked a period gown that perfectly fit the role. . . and rocked pale skin and a neck wound to match the Queen’s fate.

#4: Cher as Cleopatra

No one does glamor quite like this queen of the stage, and what historical figure brings more grace, luxury and glitz to a room than Cleopatra, the Queen of Egypt? It was a Halloween match made in heaven when, in 1988, the "If I Could Turn Back Time" singer went to fashion designer Bob Mackie’s Halloween party dressed as the iconic ruler. Cher’s knack for flair was on full display, with a stunning sheer number that perfectly complemented the larger-than-life headpiece. She shone in the costume in a way that suggested she could’ve given Cleopatra herself a run for her money when it came to commanding a room.

#3: Iggy Azalea as Cruella de Vil

Iggy Azalea is not someone you want to mess with. But that goes double when the rapper is donning the persona of notorious Disney villainess, Cruella de Vil. Showing up as the iconic fashionista to the VEVO Halloween showcase at The Oval Space, she even brought along a real life Dalmatian to complete the look. Now THAT’s committing to the role. Oh, let’s not forget that she also arrived in Ms. de Vil’s signature ride, a Panther de Vil. She then proceeded to completely own the night by performing in costume.

#2: Michelle Trachtenberg as Sally

For Heidi Klum’s 12th annual Halloween party, the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Six Feet Under” actress went all out to become a living representation of Sally from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Deviating from the character’s natural pallor, she opted for a stunning metallic blue skin tone, which really made that head full of orange hair, oversized eyelashes and green contact lenses all pop. Covering her skin with Sally’s trademark stitch marks, and pushing the Burton-esque Gothic style to the max, she certainly embraced the role. She even posed somewhat stiffly, as if she were a living doll. If there’s ever a live action adaptation, the casting director needs to talk to Trachtenberg. Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions - Perez Hilton as Vampire Miley - Cindy Crawford as a Punk Rocker - Alessandra Ambrosio as the Queen of Hearts

#1: Heidi Klum EVERY Year

The vast majority of our entries today debuted at this supermodel’s yearly Halloween party. And that makes sense; Heidi’s bash is the biggest of the Halloween season, and the host sets the bar extremely high. Every year, people anxiously await her big costume reveal. Though each year is solid, there have been a few particular standouts. Her 2010 robot costume was truly out of this world. Always one to outdo herself, the next year, she came as a skinless person. Whether she’s dressing up as Jessica Rabbit or a 94-year-old version of herself, Heidi Klum owns Halloween EVERY year.
