VOICE OVER: Kirsten Ria Squibb WRITTEN BY: Val Namaki
Who knew these stars were on "Sabrina the Teenage Witch?" For this list, we'll be looking at the most notable celebrities who guest-starred on the show. Our countdown includes RuPaul, Usher, Paula Abdul, and more!

#10: Avril Lavigne “Bada-Ping!”

Back in the early 2000s, Avril Lavigne was the queen of pop punk music. She made a splash with songs like “Losing Grip” and “I’m With You,” to name a few. So the fact that she appeared on this sitcom as herself was downright exciting. We see her at the Lush Room, a performance venue Sabrina is at with her friends Morgan and Roxie for work. Lavigne treats everyone to a performance of her hit song “Sk8er Boi,” and it’s incredible. The singer then quickly walks by the girls’ table, and that’s the last we see of her. Sure, we wish she had gotten more screen time. But there’s nothing “Complicated” about how much we loved watching her do her thing.

#9: Brian Austin Green “Dream Date”

Top 10 Times Brian Griffin Said What We Were All Thinking

Have you ever imagined what it might be like to craft your perfect partner? Well, the Spellmans don’t have to wonder, because they have “man dough.” In this season one episode, Hilda and Zelda use it to cook up a “dream date” for Sabrina to take to the school dance. They’re hoping to make her feel better about not going with Harvey. The result is Chad Corey Dylan, brought to life by, you guessed it, “Beverly Hills, 90210” actor Brian Austin Green. It ends up not being much of a love match. But Green plays the overly enthusiastic, extremely agreeable hunk who loves to dance perfectly. No matter the part, he always knows how to capture our attention.

#8: Usher “I Think I Love You”

Throughout his career, Usher has established himself as a sultry icon. He’s never afraid to bring the love forward, and his music is proof of that. On this occasion, he brought his prowess to “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” as the Love Doctor. When the protagonist runs into vocal issues while trying to express her love for her beau Josh, she enlists the good physician’s help. He doesn’t quite diagnose her problem, but he does flex his singing skills during her visit with a smooth and swoon-worthy number. If it were up to us, the song would constantly play on every radio station. Honestly, the chorus is still stuck in our heads. What can we say? Those are our “confessions.”

#7: Milo Ventimiglia “Terrible Things”

“Gilmore Girls” fans will know him as Jess Mariano, the bad boy with a heart of gold. And to “This Is Us” viewers, he’s Jack Pearson, the devoted husband and father who always says the exact right thing. Sadly, his part on “Sabrina” was far more minor. Ventimiglia is in the series’ freshman season, credited only as “Letterman.” Class President candidates Libby and Jenny are both vying for his support. In the end, he simply can’t resist the former character’s pizza-centric campaign agenda. After Sabrina magically gets Jenny the win anyway, he brings his concerns about the school meatloaf to her attention. One thing’s for sure, we’re as invested in this cameo as his character is in the cafeteria menu.

#6: Paula Abdul “Aging, Not So Gracefully”

We’ve heard of stans, but Salem really takes it to the next level. He starts fanboying over Paula Abdul from the moment this episode kicks off. And we get it, the singer’s skills are “Straight Up” remarkable. But he takes things a little too far, and pretends to be abducted in a bid to get her attention. He isn’t particularly successful, but we notably get to see her show off her best moves and hilariously reject him over the phone. Salem actually manages to get her over to the Spellman residence with a different scheme later on, though. In this case, “opposites” don’t exactly “attract.” But Abdul’s presence certainly adds a layer of excitement and humor to the series!

#5: Simon Helberg “Time After Time”

Also in:

Simon Cowell VERSUS Gordon Ramsay

Howard Wolowitz, is that you? Long before “The Big Bang Theory” premiered, Simon Helberg played a spokesman for visitthepast.com on “Sabrina.” He sends our protagonist on an ill-advised time-traveling journey. Sabrina means well, and is just trying to help her Aunt Zelda by preventing a breakup from the past. Of course, as Howard Wolowitz would probably tell you, you should never mess with the space-time continuum, because the consequences can be far-reaching and unpredictable. Sabrina learns that the hard way, as her entire life gets turned upside down. And Helberg’s character isn’t able to help her fix things, as it turns out his work is far from sustainable! Regardless, we’re glad we live in a timeline where his guest spot exists.

#4: Sophia Bush “Romance Looming”

In the fall of 2003, Sophia Bush won everyone over as the fiercely loyal, smart, and caring Brooke Davis on “One Tree Hill.” A few months prior to that, she gave us a taste of her talents on the final season of this TGIF sitcom. She played Mackenzie, one of the three destiny-controlling Fates who come for Sabrina after she uses magic to save Morgan. The trio works hard to ruin the title character’s life, and chaos ensues. Their face-offs with Sabrina are nothing short of entertaining, and Bush’s performance shows that she can nail any role, including that of the sassy mean girl. The actress impresses us with everything she does, and this epic guest appearance is no exception.

#3: Backstreet Boys “The Band Episode”

If you’re still in your boy band phase like us, chances are you’ve listened to the Backstreet Boys a lot. But if you’ve gone through their discography and want something different, look no further than “Sabrina the Teenage Witch.” In “The Band Episode,” Sabrina concocts a potion to make herself, Harvey, and Valerie talented enough to excel at their school’s music contest. It ultimately does more harm than good for the three friends. But Brian, Kevin, Nick, Howie, and A.J. 's characters get their hands on some of Sabrina’s magic drink. And they go from playing basketball to harmonizing like only the Backstreet Boys can. NSYNC fans needn’t worry though, the show has you covered in a later episode!

#2: RuPaul “Sabrina's Choice”

Top 10 Guest Judges You Forgot Were on RuPaul's Drag Race

“Start your engines.” Oops sorry, that’s the wrong show! Nowadays, RuPaul is synonymous with the “Drag Race” franchise. But the icon also graced our screens on season two of “Sabrina.” As the title character attempts to drive a wedge between her aunts, Hilda moves out. RuPaul is a Witches Council judge who tasks Sabrina with choosing a guardian to live with. This leads to our protagonist using magic to “ruin” her locks in an attempt to unite her aunts. That’s when Ru reappears in drag disguised as a hairdresser, giving her an interesting ‘do. Sabrina’s aunts ultimately reveal that it was all an elaborate life lesson they were imparting on her, and RuPaul changes back. Hey, this queen always nails a transformation. Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions. Kelly Clarkson, “The Whole Ball of Wax” The Multitalented Star Serves Some Major Side Eye in This Quick Cameo Donald Faison, Various His Recurring Role as Sabrina’s Boyfriend Dashiell Is One for the Books Raquel Welch, “Third Aunt From the Sun” The Actress Flawlessly Embodies Aunt Vesta Kenan & Kel, “Sabrina's Choice” The Duo Appears Thanks to a Hilarious “What If” Spell

#1: Britney Spears “No Place Like Home”

If you could be treated to a living room concert by any pop star, who would you choose? We’re guessing more than a few people went with Britney Spears, considering she was one of the biggest names of the late ‘90s and early 2000s. Most of us will probably never get our own private show, but at least we can live vicariously through Sabrina. The sitcom’s season four premiere sees Britney performing for the main character, courtesy of the latter’s father. As if that wasn’t amazing enough, the pair end up having a heart-to-heart about life while grooving. The singer thinks she’s dreaming, but still. “Oops, [we] did it again,” we hit replay because this episode will never get old!
