Who among us doesn’t dream of moving to Paris and finding romance? For those who’ve never had the chance to visit the city of love, “Amélie” became the vehicle through which Parisian dreams were realized. Following the life of the titular character and her quest to help the people around her, the film’s success comes from more than just the quirky protagonist at its center – it also comes from the whimsical version of Paris this movie presents. The audience follows Amelie through the winding streets, famous sites, and finally watches her find true love...très romantique!

#9: “Roman Holiday” (1953)

You’ll find that travel is a BIG theme on today’s list – and our number nine slot is no exception. This 1953 film follows Princess Ann – played by the queen of romantic comedies herself, Audrey Hepburn – and reporter Joe Bradley – the dashingly handsome Gregory Peck – as they galavant around Rome, eluding the princess’s security. Forbidden love is a tale as old as time, but this one is elevated by Peck and Hepburn’s magnetic chemistry and of course, the incomparable beauty of Roma. The image of the two riding through the city on a vespa has probably inspired more than one romantic getaway, and at least a dozen other movie scenes – from “Zoolander 2” to “The Lizzie McGuire Movie.” That’s amore!

#8: “When Harry Met Sally..” (1989)

Top 10 Rom-Coms for People Who Hate Rom-Coms

If we’re talking about romantic comedies, “When Harry Met Sally” is the pièce de résistance. When picturing Nora Ephron and Rob Reiner’s iconic rom-com, there’s no getting around just how incredible New York looks. From the leaves in the fall, to afternoons at the MET, to that infamous scene in Katz’s Delicatessen, there are so many iconic places in this film – and we want to visit them ALL. When it comes down to it, there’s only one thing to say about New York City’s stunning presence in this movie – we’ll have what Harry and Sally are having!

#7: “Notting Hill” (1999)

We’re just a YouTube channel, standing in front of viewers, asking them to subscribe! Ok, not really – but in all seriousness, we ARE asking to visit Notting Hill just once! This lovely Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts rom-com plays on its strengths – which are of course the amazing chemistry between its leads and the picturesque English neighborhood where it takes place. With colorful townhouses, lush gardens and all the trappings you’d want from a relaxing getaway to the UK, the sights in “Notting Hill” will make you call up your travel agent immediately.

#6: “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” (1961)

For this entry, once again we give you Audrey Hepburn, but this time in her arguably most iconic role. The character of Holly Golightly spawned what seems to be a never ending parade of Halloween costumes, and photos with pastries and coffee outside of Tiffany & Co. The outfits alone are enough to make anyone want to live in Holly’s world – from the little black dress and pearls, to the sunglasses, to the man’s shirt and turquoise sleep mask. But, the romance is quite the draw too – who hasn’t imagined the experience of that magical final kiss in the rain?

#5: “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” (2008)

This entry doesn’t necessarily start out with the protagonist in the best of places mentally – break-ups are tough – but as far as physical location, he definitely has it made. Everyone knows that Hawaii is beautiful, and there’s no denying that the tropical paradise is a big draw for why we want to live in this movie. But, the cast of characters really pushes it over the edge. Who wouldn’t want to stay at the Turtle Bay Resort when this many hilarious people work there? Mila Kunis, Paul Rudd, Jonah Hill, and so many others – just let us know when check-in time is!

#4: “The Holiday” (2006)
