Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we’re counting down our picks for the funniest Robot Chicken sketches that will stand the test of time. Is there a funny sketch we missed? Make sure to let us know in the comments!

#10: Grand Theft Mario

“Lust for Puppets” This hilarious sketch delivered extreme violence and absurdity. When Mario and Luigi find themselves in “Vice City”, they discover that it’s very different from their normal environment. Instead of getting coins from hitting bricks, they get headaches, and stomping down on unsuspecting turtles only gets them in trouble with the cops. Let’s also just say the mushrooms they take pack more of a punch than they expected. It isn’t long until Mario and Luigi’s antics escalate and the two end up in an over the top and surprisingly brutal shootout with the police. The pure absurdity of this fish-out-of-water sketch should serve as a warning: stay out of Vice City!

#9: You Bet Your Ass That’s a Boulder

“They Took My Thumbs” There’s something oddly endearing about seeing some elaborate traps being planned. In this sketch, a Hovito chief and a contractor discuss traps being made to ward off intruders. While the traps are certainly deadly, they’re also pretty excessive. Seriously, this is one eccentric contractor. Spiders, spears, 200 darts . . . oh, and of course the gigantic boulder. You can’t forget the boulder! The chief just wanted some snakes, but that’s arguably not nearly as cool as this. The list of many traps that the contractor plans to sprawl out can be a bit much. But hey, at least it’s going to get the job done! Probably.

#8: 1776

“Moesha Poppins” Spoiler alert, this sketch isn’t exactly very historically accurate. But we kind of wish it were, it definitely would have made History class way more interesting! This parody of the movie “300” portrays some extremely exaggerated moments from the Revolutionary War. You can say what you want about the founding fathers. But a shirtless George Washington punching a polar bear will never not be funny. Or John Hancock slamming his ink feather like a sword down onto the Declaration of Independence. Signing things never looked so cool! There are tons of great moments packed into this minute-long sketch that’ll make you laugh. All we really have left to say is that Robot Chicken really outdid themselves with this one!

#7: Apocalypse Pony

“Cracked China” Friendship might be magic, but these ponies are all out of friendship. As a way to keep your kids in check, the Apocalypse Ponies threaten to bring destruction to anyone who misbehaves. Admittedly, it might be a little bit extreme (and crazy). But how else are you going to get your kids to stop scribbling the walls in crayon? The Apocalypse Ponies consist of Pestilence Pony, Famine Pony, War Pony, and Death Pony. Ok sure, maybe the Apocalypse Ponies will destroy the world, but hey at least they’ll have fun doing it!

#6: M. Night Shyamalan's The Twist

Also in:

“S&M Present” This sketch hilariously points out M. Night Shymalan’s overreliance on twists by having multiple absurd situations play out with a fictionalized M. Night declaring them as great twists. When the sketch starts, he finds out his house is on the moon. By the end he and his family are dancing with aliens. While M. Night is a talented filmmaker, fans and critics alike could see that he was starting to fall into a pattern of forcing his films to have a shocking twist. His early works were great and only elevated by their suspenseful reveals. But eventually it was clear that the well was getting dried up. But we actually have a plot twist of our own: this sketch is gold.

#5: You Got Robo-Served

Also in:

Top 10 Robot Chicken Sketches

“Nutcracker Sweet” Somebody is definitely serving in this weird but highly entertaining sketch. In “You Got Robo-Served”, Voltron engages in a dance-off against the Robeast. Did we mention that this is a dance battle to the death? Ok fine no one’s dancing actually causes anyone to die. But that didn’t take away from this battle’s high stakes. There’s nothing quite like seeing a fight consisting of music, taunting, and highly eccentric movements that we dare to call “dancing”. Believe us when we say this is still a battle you can’t afford to miss. Despite losing (sorry Voltron but you just don’t have it), Voltron still saves the day by slaying Robeast with his sword. Why didn’t they just lead with that?

#4: The Arkham Redemption

10 Most Shocking Scenes from Robot Chicken

“But Not In That Way” This sketch puts a whole new meaning to “toilet humor”. In a direct parody of “The Shawshank Redemption”, Joker is sent to Arkham, where he ends up causing all kinds of comedic chaos. From the iconic voice work of Mark Hamill as Joker, to Batman as the hyper-aggressive warden, this sketch fires on all cylinders. But our favorite moment that solidifies this sketch as an all-timer is when Joker pulls a very distinct prank on Batman. Let’s just say that Joker’s prank is really . . . crappy. Maybe one day Batman and Joker can share a laugh over this. It’s unlikely, but hey, in the meantime we’re definitely having one.

#3: Take Your Daughter to Work Day

Also in:

Top 10 Times Robot Chicken Went TOO FAR

“Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II” (2008) It’s “take your daughter to work” day in the “Star Wars” universe. So Gary the Stormtrooper shows his daughter Jessica a day in the life of his job, and it’s an eye-opening experience. They get into blaster fights with Rebels, there are teddy bear rescues, and even cross paths with Vader and Obi Wan. It’s dangerous, but honestly this probably takes the cake for best “take your daughter to work day”. What's cooler than getting to see Darth Vader? Robot Chicken really shines at showing relatively mundane things happening in the world of “Star Wars”. Remember that one phone call the Emperor took(xref)? This sketch is funny, inventive, and oddly heartwarming at times. Gary just wants to be a better dad!

#2: The Bitch Pudding Special

Also in:

Top 10 Times Robot Chicken Said What We Were All Thinking

“The Robot Chicken Bitch Pudding Special” It’s not often that Robot Chicken dedicates an entire episode to one sketch. So when we saw the “Bitch Pudding Special,” we knew we’d be in for a real treat. When the Pastryville residents are finally fed up with Bitch Pudding (a parody of Strawberry Shortcake) a plan’s hatched to kill her. On the one hand, this is an episode filled with vulgarity that seriously makes the censors have to earn their paycheck. On the other, the outlandishness of the whole thing makes it hysterical. Plus how could you not be entertained by the Shlorps? Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.

#1: Inner Monologues

Also in:

Top 10 Times Robot Chicken Made Fun of Marvel

“Robot Chicken: Star Wars: Episode III” (2010) Ever wonder what the Emperor was thinking when he was zapping Luke Skywalker nearly to death in “Return of the Jedi”? How about Luke, or even Darth Vader? In this sketch, we get to see all of their inner monologues, and boy it’s a hoot. You’d expect their deepest most personal thoughts at a time as crucial as this to be ultra-serious and emotional. But instead it’s just these hilarious sequences like where the Emperor thinks Vader is trying to smooch him. Or wild tangents from Vader about why the word ‘wizard’ has gone away. Add in Luke’s descriptions of how much pain he’s in, and you get a classic sketch. This isn’t just funny, dare we say, it’s wizard.
