This trio is uniquely placed in the P-Pop sphere. The members, Risa, Riyo, and Rei, are Filipino-Japanese and perform in both languages, in addition to English. They initially debuted in 2017 as the five member Japh Dolls alongside fellow performers Ruri and Rika. Rika left the group in 2019, and the foursome rebranded as R Rules in 2021. However, in 2023 Ruri also departed. Despite so many changes, the core of R Rules remained intact. Conceptually, the girls offer softness with an edge in their music, which is characterized by punchy rap and beautiful vocals. However, the lack of frequent releases may be disappointing for fans.

From the company that brought us the impressive P-Pop boy group 1st.One comes a girl band that was tailor-made for international appeal. DIONE aims to connect with listeners all over the world with their music. Drawing inspiration from artists like Taylor Swift and Blackpink, the group is known for embracing a fierce image. Musically, they have a knack for catchy hooks that are hard to get out of your head. From Bling Bling to Break You Down, DIONEs discography is crowd-pleasing in the best way. However, their end goal is to be relatable to fans by sharing their stories through their art. So far, wed say theyre succeeding.
#8: YGIG
Launched by Jung Seong-han, the genius behind P-Pop powerhouse SB19, this girl group is definitely one to look out for. YGIG, which stands for You Go, I Go, is brimming with potential. Like SB19, the members are dedicated to becoming well-rounded performers. So, it is no surprise that they are already coming up with concepts and even writing their own songs. YGIGs self-written debut track Shaba Shaba was a massive success, and the group followed it up with mass-appealing releases that expanded their presence in the industry. At this rate, it is only a matter of time before they go global.

Since debuting on Valentines Day in 2022, this group has received immense love from fans. Over the years, CALISTA has grown in popularity, but more importantly, theyve evolved artistically. As rookies, they stuck to tried-and-true pop formulas that ensured success, but didnt really help them stand out. Now, theyre focused on creative expression, which comes through in tracks like Alas Dose and Oops My Bad. In an industry as competitive as P-Pop, resilience is key. Thats a quality YARA has mastered. The members started as trainees under ShowBT Entertainment but werent able to debut. Without giving up, they participated in competition shows like Pinoy K-Pop Star and POPinoy, the latter of which they won. By the time they debuted in 2023, they already had a fan base rallying behind them. Needless to say, they did not disappoint. Since then, YARA has consistently delivered high-quality music, staying true to their empowering concept while experimenting with genres like hip-hop, retro, R&B, and so on. It will be interesting to see where they go next.

When you have co-signs from the greats, like SB19 and Zack Tabudlo, you know youre doing something right. Were obviously talking about Kaia. They are a rising P-Pop girl group with all the tools to become the next big thing. From talent and versatility to charisma and a strong relationship with their fans, Kaia has it all. When it comes to performance, theyre radiant and energetic, making them amazing live acts. If that wasnt commendable enough, the members are also venturing into songwriting and contributed to the lyrics of the song Walang Biruan. The success of this group of sisters was forged with blood, sweat, and tears. 4th Impact, who you might know from their viral performance of Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minajs Bang Bang on The X Factor, are the OGs of P-Pop. Theyve been performing since 2001, and their extraordinary talents have taken them all over the world. The members boast some of the strongest vocals in the industry and also have a reputation for their magnetic stage presence. Theyve already made their U.S. debut with the song Distorted and have fans worldwide. From what we can see, an even brighter chapter for 4th Impact is in the offing.

The Philippines lovingly calls them the Nation's Girl Group. To the world, theyre the biggest female P-Pop band growing into a global phenomenon. Thanks to their addictive pop tracks and elaborate dances, Bini has become a force to be reckoned with. When theyre not going viral with hits like Pantropiko and Lagi, theyre bonding with fans, living up to their status as role models. So, when they showed up on Forbes Asias 30 Under 30 list for 2025, it was hardly a surprise, but an incredible recognition of their impact nonetheless. As modern Filipinas, the Bini members are introducing the richness of their culture to the world and taking P-Pop to a whole new level. Naturally, theyre in a league of their own.
