VOICE OVER: Rebecca Brayton WRITTEN BY: Allesandra Fuller
"RuPaul's Drag Race" has given us so many memorable original songs. For this list, we'll be looking at the fiercest and most iconic tunes featured throughout the franchise. Our countdown includes “Phenomenon,” "Legs," “Not Sorry Aboot It,” and more!

#10: “Phenomenon”
“RuPaul's Drag Race” (2009-)

With an act like this, it’s hard to believe these six were the ones who lost the lip sync battles in the first episode. Denali’s verse is incredible, while Rosé absolutely slays the vocals. Joey Jay and Utica, for their part, add a level of fun and excitement to the track, and Tamisha shows us how an old school drag queen does it. Now sure, Kahmora’s part may not be as polished as the other girls’, but it’s certainly memorable, and her confidence really sells it. The contestants show a whole lot of personality through this song, and it’s super lovable.

#9: “B.D.E (Big Drag Energy)” (Pick 'n' Mix Version)
“RuPaul's Drag Race UK” (2019-)

Get ready for a mid-tempo ballad that’s both sweet and inspirational. Ella Vaday and Vanity Milan bring us confidence-boosting words about being proud and loving who you are. Then, River Medway gets us in our feelings with those touching lyrics about her mother. As if all that wasn’t enough, Choriza May proceeds to come in hot with a bilingual verse that adds a little spice to this slower song. These queens do a fantastic job of giving a show that allows them to shine while still sending an important message of self-love. If you’re ever feeling down, this number will instantly put you in a good mood.

#8: “Oh No She Betta Don’t”

Everyone loves a good ‘90s throwback and “Drag Race” does it right. The looks and music on “Oh No She Betta Don’t” will have you feeling extra nostalgic. While some queens struggle with their parts, it remains a solid performance overall, especially because the tune is downright catchy. Plus, we (like the judges) were pleasantly surprised to see Joslyn Fox taking things to a new level in this challenge. Better still, DeLa and Bianca both infuse their signature styles of humor into their lyrics. And Adore is in her element, absolutely killing it with her delivery. This song is truly all that and a bag of chips.

#7: “Clap Back”
“RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars” (2012-)

Remember when the top three on All Stars 5 served us a glittering act that was oozing with star quality? “Clap Back” is an anthem that’ll give you a total confidence boost and have you feeling just as fierce as these queens — which is very. Jujubee is glamorous as always and her voice is absolutely mesmerizing. Miz Cracker brings the house down with her witty lyrics, sprinkling in some clever comedy. Last but never least, Shea Couleé is the complete package, commanding each part of the track in stunning fashion. How she’s able to do that while making even the hardest choreography look easy, we’ll never know! These icons really know how to bring a song to life.

#6: “Not Sorry Aboot It”

This rap battle gives the girls a chance to roast each other, and it’s just the right mix of funny and chaotic. Songs with this many queens can get a little overwhelming, but they manage to keep things unified and lively. Priyanka is dazzling and performs like she was born to be a pop star. Scarlett BoBo and Lemon also give some pretty smooth verses. BOA does well too, getting us laughing. The tune as a whole is also just a hilariously appealing and goofy bop, playing on stereotypes about Canada and its citizens. If you’ve never watched this edition of “Drag Race”, “Not Sorry Aboot It” will be the perfect start to get you addicted.

#5: “I’m That B*tch”

It’s not often that every contestant does well in any challenge, let alone a musical one. But the season twelve queens really rose to the occasion. They all put their personality on display and demonstrate their strengths through this fun, melodic tune. Brita’s part is so fierce and fun, and Jackie Cox’s super clever rap perfectly shows off her Persian heritage. Gigi Goode is also fabulous in a completely effortless, enviable way. Even with the bar set so high, Widow Von'Du blows everyone out of the water. Can you believe a performance this good came out of the season’s very first episode?

#4: “Legs”
“RuPaul's Drag Race” (2009-)

Naomi Smalls is a gorgeous and ultra-talented queen, and there’s one feature of hers that pretty much everyone is particularly fond of. This ode to her long, beautiful legs is a total classic. The only bad thing about it is that it’s basically guaranteed to be stuck in your head all day. But honestly, that’s not even really a bad thing in this case. “Legs” is definitely one of the best grand finale songs we’ve ever heard, as glamorous and wonderful as Naomi herself. You’ll feel like a supermodel when listening to the perky banger, and it’s a fantastic addition to any workout playlist.

#3: “Break Up (Bye Bye)” (Frock Destroyers Version)

Their version of “Break Up (Bye Bye)” feels like the perfect blend of humor, talent, and overall musical goodness, giving us everything we want from a drag group. Plus, who could forget DDC’s mind-blowing whistle notes? The pop tune is so captivating that it made its way onto the UK Singles Chart, the Official Big Top 40, and the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs. It’s hard to believe the chorus in particular wasn’t sung by a girl group like the Spice Girls or Pussycat Dolls first! And it certainly proved that the Frock Destroyers were here to stay.
