#10: “Fallout 76” (2018) - Teaser Trailer
After a very … uhh ... interesting 24 hour livestream that didn’t really show anything, Bethesda announced their newest title in the beloved Fallout series. We can look past the fact that a series that traditionally uses a soundtrack from the 1930s and 40s is using a song released in the 70s, but aside from a few shots of the vault, there’s wasn’t a whole lot shown in the trailer, hence why it’s only #10. We know based on date on the Pip-Boy that it set before every other game in the series, but that’s about it? I guess we’re going to have to wait till E3 to find out more.
#9: “Overkill’s The Walking Dead” (2018) - Grant Trailer
AMC’s The Walking Dead might have lost some of its touch in recent seasons, but this upcoming Walking Dead video game from Overkill Software sure knows how to craft chilling cinematic stories set within Robert Kirkman’s post-apocalyptic world. Grant is the third playable character who we’ve had the pleasure of meeting, and his introductory trailer is arguably the most effective to date. The visuals are breathtaking - especially the photo-realistic rain. The mood is tense, bleak and painfully compelling. Grant is clearly a survivor, but he’s haunted by the ghosts of his past, and this trailer has us itching to join him on his harrowing journey.
#8: “BlacKkKlansman” (2018)
There’s really no other filmmaker out there who makes movies like Spike Lee. And in this turbulent and volatile time of racial tension in America, he’s crafted a movie to remind us all that ideals of white supremacy weren’t welcome in the United States in the 1970s... and that they remain unwelcome today. BlacKkKlansman is based on the true story of the first black police detective in Colorado Springs, Ron Stallworth, who, in the early 1970s, infiltrated the local KKK to take it down from the inside. A dark dramedy, the trailer promises a film that is angry, impassioned, empowering and entertaining. In short, it looks like a classic Spike Lee joint.
#7: “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4” (2018) - Multiplayer Reveal Trailer

On May 17th, the good folks over at Treyarch and Activision released a veritable barrage of trailers for their upcoming release, Black Ops 4. The Zombies: Blood of the Dead trailer promised yet another wonderfully gory undead ride, while the cinematic Power in Numbers trailer and Blackout Introduction trailer teased an an epic and diverse multiplayer experience. Their Multiplayer Reveal trailer however, was the starring attraction, giving us our best look at just how committed they are up to raising the bar of multiplayer FPS gaming. They’re touting it as the “most thrilling grounded combat experience yet with a focus on tactical gameplay and player choice”. And based on this trailer… we’ve got reason to believe them.
#6: “Mowgli” (2018)
Honestly, the bar was set pretty high with Disney’s live-action/cgi remake of The Jungle Book, but if anyone can retell the story of Mowgli in a fresh and inspired way so soon after the aforementioned film, it’s the mo-cap master himself, Andy Serkis. This first trailer promises a much darker and scarier take on Rudyard Kipling’s legendary story. Though some of the CGI animals might look a little less photo-realistic that their Disney equivalents, they also seem far more expressive, a tradeoff that Serkis has likely made to capitalize on the motion-capture performances involved. Regardless, this trailer promises a harrowing and moving origin story for young Mowgli, and quite the visual buffet for cinemagoers.
#5: “Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!” & “Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee!” (2018) Trailer

If you’re one of those people that only played the original Red, Blue and Yellow games back in the day and only recently got back into the series with Pokémon GO, then this game for the Nintendo Switch is just for you. “Let’s Go Pikachu & Let’s Go Eevee” is billing itself as a reimagining of Pokémon Yellow with the return of the Kanto region, as well introducing Co-Op play, and a Poké Ball controller you can take with you to raise your Pokémon. The best part though; It’s compatible with Pokémon GO, so if you stopped playing a while ago, it might be a good time to pick it up once again.
#4: “Arrested Development” (2003-06; 2013-) Season 5

They’re baaaaaaaaack! Everyone’s favorite dysfunctional real estate developing family is returning for a fifth season (their second with Netflix) for more shenanigans, unfathomably deep inside jokes and misguided attempts at regaining their past financial success. Ever relevant and always happy to call out the ridiculousness of our world, season 5 is adding politics to the mix, because let’s be honest, what’s more ridiculous or corrupt than government these days? Though they’ve got new stories to tell, this is the same old Bluth family, and this trailer is packed to the brim with nostalgic callbacks to the gags that made you fall for this series in the first place - and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
#3: “The Happytime Murders” (2018)

Well… these certainly aren’t the puppets from your childhood. From director, producer and Muppet-master Brian Henson (son of the legendary Jim Henson), comes this debaucherous, raunchy and oh so very adult R-rated comedy about a world in which puppets and humans co-exist. Starring Melissa McCarthy, the modern queen of big screen comedy, “The Happytime Murders” takes its leading lady into some seriously dark and twisted comedic places, ranging from glitter-snorting parties to aggressive sexual advances from homeless puppets - and that’s just in this first trailer! This looks like a comedy not to be missed… just be sure to leave the kids at home.
#2: “Bohemian Rhapsody” (2018)
A Freddie Mercury biopic has long been in the works, so long that we eventually just kinda gave up on it ever seeing light of day - especially when it lost its star, Sacha Baron Cohen. Thankfully, Hollywood isn’t short on talented leading men, and Mr. Robot’s breakout star, Rami Malek, was able to step into the admittedly intimidating role. The mania, the flamboyance, the joie de vivre, the magnetic personality - based on this teaser trailer at least, Malik has managed to capture it all. Also… it doesn’t hurt that, in costume, he is the spitting image of Freddie, especially when rocking a moustache. This truly looks to be an epic worthy of Queen. Big things come in small packages. But then again, at least one of these small packages can also go supersized so… forget the old sayings, all that matters is that this trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp looks freaking AMAZING. Scott Lang might not be the world’s most adept superhero, but he’s sure trying his best, and now that he’s got a partner to watch his back, he’s bringing his A-game to the big screen in this sequel. From the looks of things… so too is everyone else involved. Evangeline Lilly’s Wasp seems like a real scene stealer, but the combination of comedy, action, and inventive use of powers is what really makes this trailer shine.
