Top 10 Most Satisfying Naruto Deaths

#10: Urashiki Ōtsutsuki
Conceited, cruel, and a huge pain in the backside, Urashiki is not only absurdly overpowered, given that he can steal people’s chakra and abilities, but he can also manipulate time. This allows him to go back in time to try to steal kid Naruto’s chakra. Pursued by Naruto’s son Boruto and an adult Sasuke, Urashiki also comes into conflict with a young Naruto and Jiraiya. Managing to hold out against all four of them, the despicable fisherman goads Naruto into using the Nine Tails’ chakra. However, it’s the last mistake he ever makes, as Boruto is able to get through to his enraged future-father, and the duo take down Urashiki using a spectacular double-strength Rasengan.
#9: Kidōmaru
Although all of the Sound Four are pretty hateable, the one whose death proves the most satisfying is Kidōmaru. Pitted against Neji, a close combat specialist, Kidōmaru fights at long range, with spiders, webs, and arrows. The game of cat and mouse between the two is a great back and forth, with Kidōmaru repeatedly targeting Neji’s blind spot, which ultimately proves to be his undoing, since it allows Neji to predict the final strike and paralyze him; leaving Kidōmaru open to a beating so bad he has a heart attack. Whether you dislike him for his arrogance, love seeing Neji get the better of his opponent, or just really hate spiders, we were all happy to see Kidōmaru’s thread of life get cut.
#8: Madara Uchiha
The supremely powerful architect of much of the ninja world’s conflicts and the granddaddy of the Uchiha Clan, Madara Uchiha was built up for most of the franchise as the badass villain to end all badass villains, and he definitely delivered. However, the man who manipulated everyone from the shadows was himself manipulated, as he is betrayed and killed by Black Zetsu to revive Kaguya Ōtsutsuki. His death might have been more satisfying if he hadn’t been replaced as the final villain of the story at the eleventh hour! C’mon Kishimoto! Even so, seeing him get a final reconciliation with his friend Hashirama, the first Hokage, was still an excellent coda to a truly fantastic villain.
#7: Deidara
A member of Akatsuki with some decidedly explosive opinions on art, Deidara may have been a fan-favourite, but even his legions of fangirls couldn’t protect him when he attempted to turn Sasuke into his next magnum opus. And as we all know, nothing can hold a candle to Sasuke’s legion of followers! With the battle proving to be too taxing and with little options left, the blonde ninja elects to go out with a literal bang – killing himself in a massive explosion. Whether or not you liked Deidara, he certainly died the way he lived; failing to kill the Uchihas.
#6: Pain
As Akatsuki’s ostensible leader, Pain is one of the most powerful villains in the whole series. This is evident from the fact that he essentially destroys Konoha by himself, killing a ton of main characters in the process. As such, it’s incredibly gratifying watching Naruto return and wreck all of Pain’s bodies. Even Naruto’s confrontation with the man behind the Rinnegan, Nagato, has a lot of pathos, as the two of them find common ground despite their differences. Plus, Nagato giving his life to save everyone he killed certainly made a lot of fans breathe easier.
#5: Jirōbō
The other member of the Sound Four we love to hate the most, Jirōbō is Choji’s opponent during the mission to bring back Sasuke. Arrogant and gluttonous, Jirōbō derides Choji throughout their match, mocking the Konoha ninja especially for being overweight. We’re guessing that Jirōbō hadn’t looked in a mirror lately! Their fight is a contest of stupendous power, as each of them displays increasingly absurd strength. Along with being a wonderful moment of personal growth for Choji, it’s also satisfying to see such a contemptible villain get punched through the heart.
#4: Kakuzu
Another Akatsuki member, and the partner of Hidan, Kakuzu is, like his comrade, immortal. He also helped kill Shikamaru, Choji, and Ino’s teacher, Asuma. Possessing five hearts, threads that pull or extend his body parts, and lots of different chakra types, Kakuzu is a nightmare of an opponent, since he requires five mortal blows in order to finally be put down. However, he proves to be the perfect opponent for Naruto to test his new Rasengan Shuriken on; tearing the money-obsessed creep apart, avenging Asuma in the process.
#3: Gatō
Not all of “Naruto”’s villains are ninjas. Gatō is a greedy and sadistic businessman, whose monopoly on trade in the Land of Waves impoverishes its residents, whom Gatō kills and terrorizes to keep them in line. After sending the rogue ninjas Zabuza and Haku to kill the bridge builder trying to end Gatō’s stranglehold, Gatō intervenes, intent on reneging on his deal and killing a weakened Zabuza after his fight with Kakashi. Unfortunately for Gatō, he picked the wrong man to betray, as Zabuza, even as heavily injured as he is, still manages to plow through a horde of henchmen before slicing apart the slimeball.
#2: Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki
Is everyone from the Ōtsutsuki clan an insufferable jackass? Momoshiki is yet another overpowered pale jerk, with the goal of collecting all the Tailed Beasts’ chakra, including Nine-Tails’ from inside Naruto. Not only is his plan unoriginal, Momoshiki is smug and convinced of his superiority over humans. Still, his fight with Naruto and Sasuke almost broke the internet with how cool it is, and watching Boruto get the chance to take Momoshiki down with a powered-up Rasengan was a nice capper to a hype battle.
#1: Danzō Shimura
Ugh! This guy! Despite being “dedicated” to the Hidden Leaf, Danzō’s attempts to promote his village’s interests often hurt more than they helped, being responsible, directly or indirectly, for ruining many lives, most notably Sasuke’s with the order to massacre the Uchiha clan. He also schemed to control Naruto, and take over the village as Hokage. After his latter gambit proves less than successful, Sasuke finally gets his chance at revenge. We don’t even mind that he went full dark side to achieve victory – we’re just glad that Danzō is gone!
