#10: “Evolution” (Untitled) (2007)

Also in:

Garbage on Their Musical Evolution and Live Shows

Starting off our list is the song that became Korn's fourth single to reach the top five on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs chart. With Jonathan Davis’ vocals ranging from eerily soft to melodically hard rocking, this nu metal song viciously enforces its subject matter: no matter how far we think we’ve evolved, we’re still slaves to our baser instincts.

#9: “Thoughtless” Untouchables (2002)

Korn isn’t afraid to delve into dark subject matter, as evidenced by this track. Based on Davis’ childhood experiences, “Thoughtless” deals with the harassment and violence that bullying brings. And yes, for those of you were who wondering, that is “Breaking Bad”’s Aaron Paul in the music video. Guess now we know why he got into the meth business.

#8: “Got the Life” Follow the Leader (1998)

Also in:

Now for something a little different. With a style that resembles something you might hear at a rave, “Got the Life” may not have received much attention in the music press; but it was rewarded with a gold certification by the Australian Recording Industry Association and earned top twenty status on the American Mainstream Rock and Alternative Songs charts. You have to applaud the band for daring to experiment.

#7: “Coming Undone” See You on the Other Side (2005)

Also in:

Scott Cook - Coming Clean (Official Music Video)

Heading back to their signature style, this track off the band’s seventh album is straight out rock with Korn’s very own dash of darkness. With a swelling, mid-tempo chorus to pave the way, the song manages to dish out the rock while also dragging its listeners down with the somber tone. We are all indeed coming undone. The tune also managed to crack the Billboard Hot 100.

#6: “Here to Stay” Untouchables (2002)

Also in:

Top 10 Best Songs for Tenors

This track is a Korn classic. A song that pretty much has everything going for it; a guaranteed live staple with a music video directed by The Hughes brothers, “Here to Stay” also won them a Grammy for Best Metal Performance. With a powerful and relatable subject about how the nice guys get stomped on and will eventually lash out, this track will grip you from start to finish.

#5: “A.D.I.D.A.S.” Life is Peachy (1996)

Also in:

Top 10 Songs You Didn't Know Sampled Other Songs

Don’t get it confused with the popular brand of sportswear; this pleasant acronym actually stands for “All Day I Dream About Sex”, and the lyrics certainly back it up. A song that acknowledges that we can’t just repress our sexual urges, the repetition of the title manages to get into your brain just as much as its subject matter. Nice underwear, by the way.

#4: “Twisted Transistor” See You on the Other Side (2005)

Fans of Korn’s angst-ridden nu metal sound may’ve been surprised by this See You On the Other Side track; for it’s a lot poppier and livelier than the band’s previous work. Throw in some basic power chords and a memorable chorus and you’ve got yourself a winner – in fact, it hit number 64 on the Billboard Hot 100, which is Korn’s second highest spot on the chart thus far. “Twisted Transistor” also has one of the funniest and most surreal music videos we’ve seen; it’s hard not to love seeing all those rappers playing rockers!

#3: “Falling Away from Me” Issues (1999)

Also in:

Big Melancholy - Falling So Deeply In Love (Explicit)

It may be from the late ‘90s but it’s still one of Korn’s most well known songs. With a powerful anti-domestic abuse message blended together with some truly haunting vocals, it’s a song that makes you think as well as rock. Taken off the band’s fourth record, “Falling Away from Me” was also a top 10 hit on the U.S. Alternative and Mainstream Rock Songs charts.

#2: “Freak on a Leash” Follow the Leader (1998)

Probably the song that most people associate with the band, this is the first single off of Korn’s third album, and boy, is it unforgettable. While we were tempted to include the MTV unplugged version, it lost out to the much-loved original recording. Using dissonance, distortion and various other effects, the band’s usual heavy sound really brings the house down on this top 10 hit on the rock charts. Also, who can forget Davis’s nonsensical solo? Before we unveil our top pick ere are few honorable mentions. - “Somebody Someone” Issues (1999) - “Word Up!” Greatest Hits, Vol. 1 (2004) - “Faget” Korn (1994) - “Shoots and Ladders” Korn (1994) - “Make Me Bad” Issues (1999)

#1: “Blind” Korn (1994)

Also in:

Malagrino Color Blind

The first single Korn ever released managed to land itself in our top spot. Inspired by Too Many Puppies, the band crafted a nu metal number with a colossal riff and lyrics describing what it’s like to be blind to everything in general. In addition to being a Korn live staple, “Blind” has received many accolades, and is highly regarded in contemporary metal. Do you agree with our list? What’s your favorite Korn song?
