Script written by Alex Crilly-Mckean. They get stupefied. Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today we’re counting down our picks for the top ten Disturbed songs. For this list, we’ve chosen our entries based on a combination of the artist’s fan favorites and their most commercially successful songs.

#10: “Prayer” Believe (2002”)

Though “Prayer” has a lighter feel compared to some of its earlier brethren, it still packs a helluva punch. With lead singer David Draiman’s vocals soaring at the chorus, the first single off Disturbed’s second album manages to make us feel pumped even in the face of catastrophe. Having reached the 58th spot, the alternative metal and hard rocking tune is also the band’s highest charting entry on the Billboard Hot 100 to date.

#9: “Remnants/Asylum” Asylum (2010)

These two blend so well together it was impossible for us to keep them apart. As the band’s first instrumental, “Remnants” gives us a sense of eeriness before guitarist Dan Donegan’s top-class riff enters the fray and leads us into the titular track of Disturbed’s fifth album. One of the darkest tuns the band has created, “Asylum” is filled to the brim with heavy lyrics and even heavier solos.

#8: “The Animal” Asylum (2010)

Top 10 Headbanging Songs

Another rock hit off Asylum, this single proves that Disturbed loves the silver screen just as much as we do. With lyrics inspired by the 2010 remake of “The Wolfman,” “The Animal” creates a haunting atmosphere for its listeners and lends itself to some vicious lines and solos! No doubt about it; this song’ll have you howling at the moonlight in no time.

#7: “Stricken” Ten Thousand Fists (2005)

One of the heavy hitters from Disturbed’s third album, “Stricken” takes the fairly common theme of being hurt by a loved one, and turns it into this. The track’s just good old fashioned, head-banging kick-assery, which also happened to crack the Billboard Hot 100 and reach the top 20 of the American rock tracks charts.

#6: “Stupify” The Sickness (2000)

This little gem is an offering off the band’s first album, The Sickness. The effort holds quite a few well-known Disturbed tracks, but as their first ever single, “Stupify” introduced us to the band’s sound. From Draiman’s extensive vocal range to Donegan’s heavy solo and the creepy climax that makes us feel like they’ve got us by the throat, the nu metal and rap metal number all comes together in the end to give us a classic Disturbed track.

#5: “Inside the Fire” Indestructible (2008)

Tackling controversial issues is nothing new for Disturbed, but the topic of this one is particularly potent. In this song, Draiman takes on the persona of the Devil and tries to make a younger version of himself commit suicide so he can join his girlfriend in hell. It may be dark, but damn is it good. Let’s not forget that the Grammy-nominated tune has also got one of Donegan’s best guitar solos.

#4: “Land of Confusion” Ten Thousand Fists (2005)

Who would have thought Disturbed and Genesis would be a match made in heavy metal heaven? Borrowing the older band’s lyrics, Draiman puts his own spin on things and reinvents the track into something that is undeniably theirs. No matter which version of the song you prefer, you can’t deny “Land of Confusion” kicks ass!

#3: “Indestructible” Indestructible (2008)

Also in:

Nelly Furtado on 'The Spirit Indestructible'

This is the track that showed Disturbed was a musical force of nature. As their fourth album’s title cut, “Indestructible” is a no-holds-barred shredding extravaganza. Dealing with a topic like war, you’d expect the band to come in with guitars blazing. And boy do they deliver; Donegan’s solo is definitely up there with the greats.

#2: “Ten Thousand Fists” Ten Thousand Fists (2005)
