VOICE OVER: Phoebe de Jeu WRITTEN BY: Tal Fox
Round One...Bazinga! For this list, we'll be looking at the most amusing tiffs, brawls, and squabbles the core gang and their buddies engaged in throughout the show's 12 seasons. Our countdown includes scenes from episodes "The Agreement Dissection", "The Hot Troll Deviation", "The Paintball Scattering" and more!

#10: One Fight to Rule Them All

“The Precious Fragmentation”
Penny's dismayed when the guys come home with a garage sale box of movie memorabilia. Reality starts to imitate art when they discover that they're in possession of the titular prop from the "Lord of the Rings" franchise. They argue over what to do with the item, and even Penny unwillingly gets dragged in. Eventually, they settle on a good ol' gold fashion, whoever lasts the longest contest, from which Leonard quickly concedes with some urging from Victoria's Secret. Meanwhile, the others try sabotaging each other with racy quips about family members and so-called subliminal messaging. Ultimately, there are no winners as Leonard finds the ring and sends it back. Or does he?

#9: The Case of Sheldon’s Roommate Agreement vs. Priya

“The Agreement Dissection”
Sheldon becomes increasingly infuriated when Priya uses her lawyerly expertise to invalidate his beloved roommate agreement. Of course, everyone else finds this hilarious and uses her skills to wage war on Sheldon’s comfort zone. They use the contract’s flaws to overthrow pizza night and deliberately choose a cuisine he dislikes. However, after some advice from an intoxicated Amy, it’s Sheldon who fires the final shot. The evil genius evokes a scene from “Star Trek” that forces Leonard into signing a new roommate agreement or risk losing his girlfriend. Amy advised him to play dirty, but this was downright savage. Sheldon’s accomplished in many fields, but he has getting his way down to a fine art.

#8: Cohabitation Doesn’t Work for Sheldon and Amy

“The Cohabitation Experimentation” & “The Hot Tub Contamination”
Things get off to a rocky start when Amy and Sheldon move in together after a burst pipe floods her apartment. Tensions rise as they choose a side of the bed, adjust to each other’s bedroom habits and negotiate bathroom schedules. On their first night together, Amy ends up on the floor, and by the following episode, Sheldon’s wondering if he should be playing the field. Their fight gets really heated when they start throwing science-inspired jabs around. Penny and Leonard get entangled in the drama, especially when Amy lies about her apartment not being ready a few episodes later. When this new living arrangement becomes permanent, a whole new fight breaks out as Leonard and Sheldon divvy up their stuff.

#7: Sheldon & Raj Get Territorial

“The Hot Troll Deviation”
To no one’s surprise, Raj and Sheldon constantly butt heads while working together. However, things escalate after Raj makes a reasonable request and Sheldon’s well, Sheldon. So, Raj takes matters into his own hands and takes over the office with a comically large desk. After an amusingly childish back-and-forth, Sheldon vows to get revenge. Later on, Howard and Leonard listen in as their two friends bicker, and it’s clear that their fight has escalated fast. However, that’s nothing compared to the sight that awaits them once they open the door. Watching them bring their playground antics to a university office is very funny. However, their fight does get a little more explosive than they intended.

#6: The Group-Wide Paintball Fight

“The Paintball Scattering”
With everyone at odds, a paintball tournament seems like the worst idea, or is it the best? Sheldon’s jealous of Amy, Raj is mad at Anu after spying on her and her ex, and Denise doesn’t understand why Stuart won’t move in with her. Even Penny and Leonard don’t emerge unbruised even though they weren’t even squabbling. Poor Stuart takes his fair share of hits, and by the time the Hofstadters find him, he looks like an abstract painting. It’s always hilarious when the whole group gets involved. Remember the “Game of Thrones” viewing party argument from season nine? Now that was a whole lot of chaos but Howard tricking Stuart into dressing up is an unrivaled episode highlight.

#5: Wil & Amy’s Creative Differences

“The Habitation Configuration”
Things get uncomfortable when Amy and Wil Wheaton clash over creative visions while filming an episode of “Fun with Flags.” She berates him over his lack of enthusiasm, wooden performance, and overacting, and he retorts by slamming her directorial skills. Sheldon feels caught in the middle but makes matters worse when he chooses his buddy over his girlfriend. After failing to smooth things over with Amy, he turns to Penny for advice and several Long Island Ice Teas. This leads to arguably the funniest part of the episode, where a drunk Sheldon knocks on Wil’s door, ready to fight. Although no one raises a finger, Sheldon still comes out worse for wear, as do Wil’s shrubs.

#4: When Beverly Hofstadter Met Mary Cooper

“The Maternal Combustion”
Any episode featuring Leonard and Sheldon’s mothers is always a treat. But bringing the two polar opposite women together was a stroke of brilliance. At first, they try to remain civil, but their differences prove too great, and the facade quickly fades away. Turns out that a cold, hardheaded academic and a warm, affectionate, god-loving Texan have very little in common, leading to one of the funniest arguments on the show. Even Penny can’t help them find mutual ground despite her best efforts. Their reconciliation is just as hysterical, and we couldn’t wait to see them reunite again. We only wish they’d shared more screen time throughout the show because this frosty interaction was priceless.

#3: Sheldon & Leonard Get Physic(s)al

“The Cooper-Hofstadter Polarization”
We all know how important it is to separate our personal and professional lives. But when your colleagues are your best friends, and you fall out ahead of a joint science panel, sometimes that line gets blurred. You might recall such an instance in season one when Leonard and Sheldon are invited to present their research paper at a conference. Sheldon’s vehemently against it, but Leonard decides to go despite his friend’s orders. Of course, Sheldon can’t take Leonard getting all the attention and ambushes him, leading to a heated argument. Things soon get physical leaving us doubled over with laughter. And, like a good friend, Howard ensures the hilarity will live forever on the internet.

#2: The Parking Spot Fight

“The Parking Spot Escalation”
When Sheldon finds out that his parking spot’s been reassigned, he uses ironclad logic to reclaim it. After that fails, the quarrel intensifies as he launches into a quid pro quo battle. Since Sheldon’s trying to take Howard’s spot, Howard decides to return the favor. Now, Sheldon gets upset anytime someone sits in his spot, so doing so naked really takes things to a hilarious new level. Things continue to escalate, with Howard forcibly moving Sheldon and Sheldon exacting his own nude revenge. Amy and Bernadette also get pretty vicious as each stands by her man. Unfortunately, Penny’s nose pays a very painful price. Still, watching both sides try and one-up each other is absolutely hysterical.

#1: Penny & Sheldon’s Feud

“The Panty Piñata Polarization”

In arguably one of the most entertaining episodes, Penny declares war on Sheldon after he banishes her from the apartment. Both sides pull out the big guns, with Penny refusing Sheldon service while he retaliates by blocking her from their WiFi. Still, that’s nothing compared to Sheldon’s ruined laundry night and Penny’s underwear hanging for all to see. As well as plenty of hilarity, their clash gave us one of the funniest quotes of the series[1]. Leonard steps in before any more shots can be fired or additional undergarments find their way up telephone poles. Penny might have won the war, but the real winners are the audience who got to enjoy this non-stop laugh fest.
