VOICE OVER: Phoebe de Jeu WRITTEN BY: Adriana Travisano
Disney is all about spinoffs, so why haven't these characters gotten their due? For this list, we'll be looking at the most iconic Disney Channel characters who we think deserve their own show! Our countdown includes "Girl Meets World," ""Even Stevens," " Jessie," and more!

#10: Farkle Minkus “Girl Meets World” (2014-17)

Farkle definitely fills the role of the oddball character in the “Girl Meets World” quartet. A little like Riley, Farkle is kind, loyal, and maybe a tad on the awkward side. But he totally embraces his “Farkle-ness”, which is what makes him the perfect candidate for his own show! He’s super loveable and a very layered character, seeing as he deliberately tries to conceal his wealthy background. Throughout “Girl Meets World”, we see Farkle’s character develop in different ways, and we have no doubt he would only become more awesome in a series of his own. “Farkle Meets World” anyone?

#9: Ryan Evans “High School Musical” franchise (2006-08)

Every Ryan Murphy Show: RANKED

Throughout the “High School Musical” series, the focus was always on Sharpay as far as glamourous antagonists go, but we just know Ryan had so much more to offer. As much as we love Troy and Gabriella’s performances, we have to admit, it was often Ryan and Sharpay who stole the show. Plus, Ryan always seemed less interested in Sharpay’s antics, even if he was easily persuaded. It would’ve been super cool to see him come into his own in a spinoff movie--that musical number with Chad was enough to convince us of that! Incidentally, Chad Danford is another character who deserved to take center stage! Even with the focus mostly on Troy, Chad certainly could have held his own storyline.

#8: Ivy Wentz “Good Luck Charlie” (2010-14)

Top 10 Most Relatable Disney Channel Characters

We need more people like Ivy in the world: funny, honest, and loyal. As Teddy's tell-it-like-it-is best friend, a spinoff centering around her, her family, and her antics would have been hysterical. And, if they wanted to include some cameos from the Duncans, we definitely wouldn’t be complaining! Teddy and Ivy’s friendship was something to look up to and we’d be lying if we said we didn’t miss it. While we’re on the subject of “Good Luck Charlie” spinoffs, a reboot featuring a teenage Charlie responding to Teddy’s video diaries would be so awesome! Make it happen, Disney!

#7: Tawny Dean “Even Stevens” (2000-03)

We shipped Louis and Tawny for three seasons, and never got exactly the satisfying ending we were hoping for. Sure, things were implied, but where was that last kiss dammit?! Either way, Tawny always seemed to be the voice of reason Louis needed in his life and we always wondered about how their relationship developed after the series. Even without the connection to Louis’ character, though, Tawny was pretty awesome. Her life could have turned out in so many different ways. We wonder if she ended up following in her father’s footsteps and pursuing a career in psychiatry or whether she tried her hand in the performing arts!

#6: Zuri Ross “Jessie” (2011-15) & “Bunk'd” (2015-)

While Zuri (and the other Ross kids) did get a spinoff called “Bunk’d”, we think Zuri deserved to star in a show of her own! She was quick to become a favorite among fans of “Jessie”, especially with her quick wit and unbridled sass. As the youngest of the Ross siblings, it’s tempting to always view Zuri as nothing other than that mischievous kid we all know and love. But, as we see on “Bunk’d”, she matures and grows into... that mischievous teenager we all know and love. Some things never change! Still, it would be super fun to see Zuri in her later teen years or even navigating adulthood.

#5: Harper Finkle “Wizards of Waverly Place” (2007-12)

Harper was just awesome. There’s no way around it! Where Alex was lazy and a troublemaker, Harper was full of energy and a total goody two-shoes. Where Alex was daring and bold, Harper was also daring and bold... in her fashion choices! And the best part? These two were the absolute best of friends, even with their complete opposite personalities! While we’re positive that the Russos and magic is still around in Harper’s life after the show’s finale, we can’t help but wonder what her life is like outside of being Alex’s friend. We can only hope she pursued a career in the fashion industry!

#4: Cyrus Goodman “Andi Mack” (2017-19)

It took Disney far too long, but they finally introduced their very first gay main character in the critically acclaimed series “Andi Mack”. Despite Disney’s less than positive track record when it comes to LGBTQ+ content, this show broke barriers and won awards for Cyrus’ character and the storyline revolving around his coming out. And, what better way to honor the character than to give him his own show? It’s about time Disney had its first live action series with a queer protagonist! Plus, we just have to know how Cyrus and TJ’s relationship played out!

#3: Trish De la Rosa “Austin & Ally” (2011-16)

Listen, we love Ally and we love Austin. But, let’s be frank for a second, Trish and Dez pretty much carried the whole show. They were the funniest and most dynamic characters, and brought just the right amount of chaos to their friend group. We think Trish would have utterly thrived on a show of her own. She’s flawed in the funniest and most relatable ways: she’s lazy, opportunistic, and can’t seem to hold down a job. We feel you, girl! Trish is also unapologetically confident, loyal to her friends, and clever when it comes to problem-solving. Maybe it’s time for a “Trish & Dez” spinoff!

#2: Lilly Truscott “Hannah Montana” (2006-11)

Hear us out: It’s called “Lola Luftnagle” and it’s about Lilly’s double-life! Any takers? While “Hannah Montana” ended with Miley and Lilly at college together, we can’t help but wonder what Lilly would have gone on to do afterwards. We have no doubt the two of them stayed close well into adulthood, but it’s no secret that friends often drift apart as they grow up. A spinoff featuring Lilly would showcase her as more than just Hannah Montana’s BFF. Plus, we’re dying to know if she and Oliver are still together! We desperately hope so!

#1: London Tipton “The Suite Life” Franchise (2005-11)

Top 10 London Tipton Moments from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody

Okay, here’s the pitch: It’s called “Yay Me!” and it sees London on the road to becoming a more down-to-earth person after she’s financially cut off. Yes, we’ll hold for applause. Although we did get to see more of London in “The Suite Life on Deck”, we get the feeling fans wouldn’t turn their noses up at a spinoff where she’s the star. Let’s be real, she was always the real star of the franchise anyway! By the end of “The Suite Life on Deck”, London had made quite a lot of progress from the rude, selfish character she was first introduced as in “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody”. And we just know there’s more of her story to be explored. London Tipton is really great, after all!
