VOICE OVER: Emily Brayton WRITTEN BY: Sammie Purcell
These Disney Channel rivalries will never die. Our countdown includes "Gravity Falls," "That's So Raven," "Lizzie McGuire," and more!

#10: Alex v. Gigi “Wizards of Waverly Place” (2007-12)

Also in:

Top 10 SAVAGE Alex Trebek Moments

On “Wizards of Waverly Place,” Alex might be a wizard, but that doesn’t mean she escapes the wrath of your typical high school mean girl. As all good rivalries do, Alex and Gigi’s rivalry dates back years – kindergarten, to be exact – when Gigi told everyone Alex peed herself. That alone is enough to inspire life-long hate, but Gigi doesn’t limit her nastiness to Alex – she targets Alex’s best friend Harper too. You’d think being a wizard would help Alex take this mean girl out, but there’s that little caveat of keeping her powers a secret … Oh the difficulties of being a teenage wizard!

#9: Raven, Chelsea & Eddie v. Alana, Muffy & Loca “That’s So Raven” (2003-07)

The worst type of mean girl is the one you kind of wish would be your friend – and Raven learned that the hard way. In “That’s So Raven,” Alana is the meanest girl in school, and she and her minions Muffy and Loca are always making things hard for Raven and her friends. But, when Raven protests the school’s new uniform policy, she starts to become friendly with Alana and her crew – so much so that Chelsea and Eddie get left in the dust. Lucky for us, when the trio of mean girls decide to leave a wheel of cheese in the vents and blame Chelsea and Eddie for the stench, Raven comes to her senses – and to comedic effect, as always.

#8: Lil’ Gideon v. the Pines Family “Gravity Falls” (2012-16)

Also in:

Top 10 Best Voice Acting Performances in Disney Channel Shows

Child psychic? That’s a big red flag in our book. “Gravity Falls” follows twins Mabel and Dipper Pines, who are sent to live with their uncle in a strange town called Gravity Falls. The twins face plenty of mystifying and supernatural events during their time there, but their biggest foe is a child psychic named Lil’ Gideon. Lil’ Gideon starts off the series as the twins’ uncle’s nemesis, but that quickly extends to the rest of the family. He develops a crush on Mabel, but when it’s revealed she doesn’t like him back, he makes it a point to exact his revenge. Talk about fragile egos.

#7: Jake Long v. the Huntsman “American Dragon: Jake Long” (2005-07)

Also in:

Top 10 Funniest Jake Peralta Undercover Moments

Listen, being a kid is already hard. Add dragon powers to that equation and it gets much harder – but add the constant threat of death from a dragon slayer, and it’s near impossible. The Huntsman might be one of the most straight-up evil rivals on this list, and his life’s mission is to find and defeat Jake Long. He’s an incredibly terrifying figure – but that makes it all the more hilarious when Jake beats him in increasingly nonsensical ways … Jake’s quite the fan of flaming farts. Go for it, Jake – take this self-serious guy down a peg.

#6: Amber Addison v. Miley, Lilly & Oliver “Hannah Montana” (2006-11)

Hannah Montana herself has plenty of enemies in the pop world. Mikayla Skeech came close to making this list, but we wanted to focus on a rivalry that infiltrated Miley’s everyday life, not just her popstar one. Amber Addison made it a point to make life as hard as possible for Miley and her friends. But Miley, Lilly and Oliver gave as good as they got – even inviting Amber to sing onstage to try and embarrass her. But the most ironic part about this high school rivalry is that Amber was a huge Hannah Montana fan. Imagine being that horrible to your favorite pop star, not knowing it was them. Sweet niblets, indeed!

#5: Lexi v. Chyna “A.N.T. Farm” (2011-14)

Captain of the cheerleading squad, lead in all the school musicals ... Lexi Reed really had it all – until Chyna showed up. Or at least, that’s what she’d tell you. Lexi and Chyna have one of the most competitive rivalries on this list, and Lexi would do anything to remain top dog – at one point she works Chyna hard at cheerleading practice just so she won’t be able to perform well at auditions for the school musical. But towards later seasons, these two lean more towards the frenemies side of a rivalry, and come together when needed. And when these two put their heads together? Whoever’s on the receiving end better watch out.

#4: Mr. Moseby v. Ilsa Schicklgrubermeiger “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” (2005-08)

What’s Mr. Moseby’s worst nightmare? Who else but a German hotel inspector? Throughout the series, Mr. Moseby works extremely hard to keep the Tipton up to the standards of their clientele. But with troublemakers like Zack and Cody running around, things are bound to get a bit out of hand. Unlucky for Mr. Moseby, Isla is even more no-nonsense than he is, and definitely scarier – we mean, who wouldn’t be afraid of a woman who reportedly bit a shark? But, lucky for us, watching the antics between these two offers up a boatload of entertainment.

#3: Lizzie McGuire v. Kate Sanders “Lizzie McGuire” (2001-04)

Also in:

Top 10 Lizzie McGuire Stars: Where Are They Now?

And here we are folks – the ultimate mean girl takes human form in Kate Sanders. Kate and Lizzie McGuire started out as friends, but once Kate got a bra and shot to popularity, she quickly left Lizzie in the dust. Although Kate could be absolutely the worst to Lizzie and her friends, she often showed a softer side of herself, and those small moments came to fruition in “The Lizzie McGuire Movie.” Kate covered for Lizzie as she was living out her Italian pop star dream, and ultimately seemed like a pretty good friend. We love to see the growth, and we will never forget Kate for giving us the ultimate mean girl line: [broll: “You, Lizzie McGuire are an outfit repeater!”]

#2: Kim Possible v. Bonnie “Kim Possible” (2002-07)

Also in:

Top 10 Mistakes Left in Disney Channel Shows

What’s the sitch? Well viewers, we’ve got a rivalry for the ages on our hands – plus even more cheerleading drama. As for most crime fighting teens, sometimes the worst people Kim Possible has to deal with are just mean girls at high school – and Bonnie’s one of the meanest we know. Bonnie’s snobby attitude and need to be the most popular girl in school immediately sets her at odds with Kim. But, when the two are accidentally stuck together, Kim learns Bonnie’s behavior stems from being bullied herself – namely by her older sisters. SO the drama.

#1: Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz v. Perry the Platypus “Phineas and Ferb” (2007-15)

And at last, we get to the ultimate frenemy pair! These two need each other to survive – after all, whose evil plans will Perry thwart if not Dr. Doof’s? And who will Dr. Doof outsmart if not Perry? The antics between this pair are the basis for so many of our favorite episodes – whether it be Dr. Doof begging Perry to try to unearth his evil plan, or attending therapy together. Dr. Doof and Perry claim to be mortal enemies, but we’d say they’re closer to a bickering old married couple than anything else – complete with the therapy that entails.
