Top 10 Anime Powers With 100 Percent Kill Rate

They’re built for success…and a whole lot of killing! Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we are counting down our picks for the Top 10 Anime Powers With 100 Percent Kill Rate.
For this list, we’ll be looking at the techniques implemented by heroes and villains alike that are guaranteed to decimate a target each and every time!
#10: Planet Burst
“Dragon Ball Z” (1989-96)
He may not be a God of Destruction, but when Majin Buu wants to blow up a planet or two, this is his weapon of choice, and given how he destroyed the Earth on its first use, we’d say its worked out pretty well for him. Following the destruction of Earth and all of it’s inhabitants, the feared killer of the Kais Kid Buu doesn’t stop there as he scours the universe looking for both Goku and Vegeta, using the same technique to destroy various unlucky planets along the way!
#9: Gun
“Inferno Cop” (2012-13)
This may be one of the silliest comedies ever cropped into animation, but that doesn’t take away the fact the Inferno Cop’s signature piece is bonafied weapon of mass destruction. All it takes is one pull of the trigger, and anything that gets caught in the crossfire blows up. Not ridden with bullets, but swallowed by a giant explosion, every time, without fail. Even monstrous creations like mutant crabs, cyborgs from the future and the judiciary system all end up scorched by the time Inferno Cop needs to reload.
#8: Judgment Chain
“Hunter x Hunter” (2011-14)
There’s no doubt about it – if you get caught on the end of this bladed chain, then your heart is about to get pierced. Of course, there are some rather…tricky conditions that go into Kurapika’s most devastating technique. While death is certain for those that this chain succeeds in impaling, this is only made possible during Kurapika’s limited time as a Specialist when his crimson eyes flare up, and the only targets it could hope to kill are the members of the Phantom Troupe. Everyone else gets off scot-free. Unfortunately for Uvogin, he fit the criteria.
#7: Purple Haze
“JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind” (2018-19)
Fugo may not have stuck around long enough to show off the full capabilities of his Stand, but it goes without saying that Purple Haze is a beast! With a deadly toxic gas located in each of its knuckles, everything decayed before its punches, to the point where even the Man in the Mirror found himself rotting from the inside out after getting a whiff of what the slobbering Stand had to offer. Who knows how it would have handled going up against the likes of Green Day or King Crimson, but as it stands the former member of Bucharatti’s clique is not one to be taken lightly.
#6: Crime and Punishment
“Bungo Stray Dogs” (2016-19)
While it’s easy to argue that Fyodor’s greatest weapon is that of his dizzying intellect, there’s still the fact his ability is basically an insta-kill. Its constraints, limits and origins may remain unknown for now, but given how each use has left countless corpses in his wake, we’d say it’s one of the scariest powers around. Pretty hard to try land a blow on someone when all it takes is a light tap to make your body start haemorrhaging. No wonder Dazai is afraid of him.
#5: Murasame
“Akame ga Kill!” (2014)
The don’t call it the One Cut Killer for no reason, you know? With but a single slash, this Imperial Arm poisons the victim with an untreatable curse that will kill them within seconds, unless of course you’re a mad lass like Esdeath willing to lop off her own body parts to temporarily halt the spread. For everyone else, Akame’s sword is practically an angel of death. Given how any haphazard cut will do the trick, the fact this Night Raid veteran is a master of the blade means that anyone who steps up to her is practically a goner.
#4: Excalibur
“Fate/stay night” series (2006-)
She may prefer to keep her blade hidden from prying eyes, but when Saber unleashes that golden radiance, you can expect a lot of Servants to find themselves dropping out of the Holy Grail War. At full strength, Excalibur has not only slain the likes of Caster and his fortress, but over her various incarnations has put an end to the likes of Berserker and even the Holy Grail itself. They’re lucky she’s such a stickler for honour otherwise she would have wiped out the majority of them from the getgo.
#3: Death Note
“Death Note” (2006-07)
So simple yet so deadly; whoever’s name is written within the pages of this notebook shall die. The operandi of the Shinigami, the Death Note became the instrument of Light Yagami’s will as the self-imposed God of the New World, allowing him to kill off numerous individuals he viewed as criminal via the Death Note’s default mode of providing heart attacks. Once a name’s been written, it’s all over. The only variable is whether or not Light decides you perish via conventional means or he arranges for some special circumstances to lead you to the other side.
#2: Hakai
“Dragon Ball Super” (2015-18)
When it comes to turning a life into nothingness, there is no better tool of the trade – if you’re a God of Destruction that is. With but a gesture, these enforcers of the Omni King are able to disintegrate everything from flesh to whole worlds. You only need to look at Beerus’ list of work to see how he always fills his devastation quota. And no, we’re not taking about the blasts used by Toppo during the tournament of power – turns out those were variations used by a wannabe God of Destruction, and not the genuine article.
#1: Serious Punch
“One Punch Man” (2015-19)
You could make the argument that every punch used by the world’s strongest hero is guaranteed to land a villain six feet under. However, that’s not technically correct. At least for the 0.01 who didn’t instantly explode when Saitama striked them. The cockier heroes who tried to rookie crush him just ended up knocked the hell out, while god-like villains like Boros ended up taking multiple hits before they were finally bested. However, even the slimmest chances of survival goes out the window when Saitama busts out the serious punch – a single strike where he chooses to put in some manner of effort. The results of which…well, they kind of speak for themselves.
