You know the old saying by now. With great new superhero games come great new suits. One of the original outfits made for the Playstation exclusive was “The T.R.A.C.K.” suit. The sleek suit breaks up Miles’ trademark red and black design with the color white. While Ganke made the suit for his best friend within the game, the outfit was actually created by a real Miles Morales illustrator. Javier Garron provided artwork throughout a Miles Morales comic run that began in 2018. When he designed the “The T.R.A.C.K.” suit, he aimed to combine traditional elements with some fun new details. The resulting outfit is a great mix of artist originality and familiar designs.

In the year 2099, a scientist named Miguel O’ Hara created a spiky new Spider-Man suit after gaining arachnid related powers. Artist Lee Garbett decided to see what happened if Miles had a futuristic outfit of his own in the comics. Appearing on a variant cover on “Miles Morales: Spider-Man Volume 1 #12”, the suit has glowing eyes, blue and white mixed in with red and black and a menacing spider. It also has spikes just like Miguel O'Hara's outfit. We have legendary artist Lee Garbett to thank for the original design. His suit will definitely make you feel like you’re webbing up criminals in a distant future.

“Thunderbolts Volume 1 #3” (1997)

The cool Crimson cowl suit Miles wears in the game fits him so well that you’d think he’d rocked a similar looking suit before. But the red and black suit outfit actually draws inspiration from a villain. In “Thunderbolts Volume 1 Issue #3”, Justine Hammer appeared as a villain named Crimson Cowl. Her cloak could wrap around her enemies and distract them with an intense flash of red light. By contrast, the Crimson Cowl suit doesn’t give Miles the ability to do either of those things in the game. But since he has super strength, bioelectricity, invisibility and sticky powers, all he needs to worry about when wearing this outfit is how cool he looks.

Back in 2019, Marvel comics released a bunch of variant covers that featured heroes in futuristic outfits. The video game designers clearly loved the design that appeared on “Miles Morales: Spider-Man Vol. 1, Issue #13” as much as we did. In place of a mask, the webhead sports an advanced helmet with computerized eyes. He also rocks an awesome red and black jacket that covers a digital spider logo. But our favorite thing about the design is that parts of the suit glow in the dark. Swinging around in the game was already immensely satisfying. But lighting up the city with your suit while you glide over the streets makes the experience even better.

Unfortunately, this outfit has nothing to do with the classic Prince song. But it still has a cool backstory. After Miles finishes a train mission, his uncle Aaron figures out that his nephew is Spider-man. Later on in the game, Miles discovers his uncle is the villain Prowler. They work together and fight each other before the game is through. But in the end, Aaron leaves his nephew the Purple Reign suit as a gift. The outfit mimics the Prowler’s traditional purple and green scheme as well as the villainous claws. While Miles could do some serious damage to thugs with his sharp accessories, his uncle gifts the suit with the hope that his nephew will do great things.

Brutally Honest Smash Ultimate Review

While Peter Parker was chasing Green Goblin across the Multiverse in the “Ultimate Spider-Man” series, he met Miles for the first time. After an emotional conversation, the two spider-people teamed up and took down a supervillain. The black and red suit that Miles wore for this team up was ripped right out of the show and placed into the game. This meant that the outfit kept its animated cell shaded effect. The unique way that the suit is rendered makes it easily stand out in the game. It also makes it look like villains are being taken down by a living cartoon. But the best thing about this suit is that it plays homage to the first Miles appearance in the“Ultimate Spider-Man”series.

Programmable Matter Suit

A group of villains known as the Underground uses programmable matter to create various weapons throughout the game. Their swords, shields, gauntlets and guns give Miles plenty of grief. That’s why it’s so satisfying to see the young Spider-man take their programmable matter tech to craft himself a brand new suit. The metallic textured design features gloves, feet and a spider symbol that all glow red. During combat, the suit can sprout four arms to finish off enemies. In addition to looking ridiculously cool, the game original outfit shows that Miles is intelligent enough to reverse engineer tech for his own needs.

Uptown Pride Suit

“Spider-Man: Miles Morales” (2020)

One of the reasons Miles Morales has become such an icon is that his Black and Hispanic heritage has given people of color a hero that looks like them. His identity made the game's exclusive Uptown Pride suit feel incredibly significant. After completing all the neighborhood missions in the game, Miles is told to swing to a spot in Harlem for a gift. When he arrives at a Black Lives Matter mural, the Uptown Pride suit is waiting for him. The black and yellow color scheme reflects the colors of the Black Lives Matter movement. Whenever Miles wears the suit, we’re reminded to fight against inequality as fiercely as he fights to protect his city.

Shortly after Miles debuted in “Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man”, he wore a red and blue Spider suit. But since the original webhead had lost his life in this timeline, New Yorkers thought it was too soon to see the familiar color scheme. Nick Fury picked up on this and asked Spider-Woman to give Miles a completely new suit. The black and red outfit quickly became iconic for its unique twist on a classic superhero design. Within the game, Miles and his best friend Ganke craft an updated version of this suit while Peter is on vacation. In both versions of the story, the outfit signifies that Miles is ready to take on the responsibility of being New York City’s sole Spider-Man. Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.

Every Spider-Man fan remembers where they were when Miles debuted this suit during “Into-the Spider-Verse.” The young hero created this unique look by spray painting a traditional Spidey Halloween outfit red and black. While seeing this legendary suit within the game would’ve been cool on its own, the developers packed it with two awesome features. The outfit allows you to use a visor mod that makes comic book sound effects pop up after every takedown. This suit also gives you the ability to slow Miles down to a 24 frame per second animation rate that mimics the movie. The combination of cool mods and the fact that it appeared in an Academy award winning film easily made the Spider-Verse suit one of the game’s best.
