Top 10 Bring It On Stars: Where Are They Now?
They were sexy, they were cute, and they were popular to boot! Welcome to MsMojo, and today we’ll be counting down our picks for the Top 10 “Bring It On” cast and where they are now.
For this list, we’ll be looking at what some of the most popular “Bring It On” cast members have been up to since the movie was released in 2000.
#10: Lindsay Sloane
You’ll remember her as Big Red, the outgoing head of the Toros cheerleading squad who had a little ‘help’ coming up with their killer dance routines. After filming, Lindsay ditched the red ‘do, but has kept busy with acting, landing roles in movies, such as “She’s Out of My League”, “Horrible Bosses” 1 and 2, and TV shows, like “Playing House” and “The Odd Couple”. More recently, she appeared in the indie flick “Endings, Beginnings”. In 2014, Lindsay married fellow actor Dar Rollins, with whom she has two daughters. When she’s not acting, she’s involved in philanthropy, promoting such campaigns as “No Kid Hungry” - a charity that feeds hungry children in low-income communities across the U.S.
#9: Tsianina Joelson
Dude, it's Darcy! Tsianina was prepared for playing the role of a fit and fierce cheerleader, having previously won Miss Fitness USA in 1997. After filming, she had a few supporting roles in films like “American Pie 2” and shows such as CSI. But perhaps what she’s most known for is portraying Varia, the Amazon Goddess seeking vengeance in the final season of “Xena: Warrior Princess”. Tsianina doesn’t seem to be acting anymore these days, but she’s happily married to cinematographer Michael Lohmann, and the couple currently reside in Brentwood, Tennessee, with their children. They reportedly fell in love with Tennessee after moving there in 2013 for Michael’s work on the second season of “Nashville”.
#8: Natina Reed
Natina played Jenelope, the East Compton Clover who gave us some of the best one-liners of the movie. But in real life she was a serious musician. Along with co-stars Shamari Fears and Brandi Williams. Natina was part of the girl group Blaque. Their debut album eventually sold 1.5 million copies. In the early 2000s, Natina got engaged to rapper Kurupt and together they had a son, Tren, in 2002. Blaque then released three less-successful singles, including 2004’s "I'm Good". It appeared on the “Honey” soundtrack, but didn’t gain much popularity after that. The group was working on more music in 2012 when Natina tragically died after being struck by a car. Her son is following his late mother’s footsteps as a musician.
#7: Nathan West
Perhaps portraying the Torus squad’s most “hands-on” male cheerleader was more than enough acting for Nathan. Although he dabbled with acting throughout the years, including guest spots on “Bones”, “That 80s Show”, and “Grey’s Anatomy”, he’s since moved on to another big role - being a husband and father. He met his wife—Supergirl actress Chyler Leigh—on set of “7th Heaven” in 2000. The couple married in 2002 and went on to have three children. These days, in addition to being a family man, Nathan is focused on creating music with his wife through their musical project East of Eli.
#6: Nicole Bilderback
She was one of the original mean girls on the Toros cheer squad. But after filming, Nicole ditched the pom-poms and made a steady career in the entertainment industry, landing recurring roles on hit TV shows, such as “Dawson’s Creek” and “Dark Angel”. In recent years, she’s opted for more challenging roles on crime shows, including “Castle”, “The Mentalist”, and “Bones”. In 2008, she was awarded the Grand Jury Award for Best Actress at LA OutFest for her role in “The New Twenty”. In 2014, Nicole joined a different ‘squad’ in “Mercenaries”—an action flick about female freedom fighters who break into prison to rescue the president’s daughter. You can catch Nicole in a more comedic role as Captain Julie Kim in “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”.
#5: Clare Kramer
Courtney was the cheerleader we loved to hate. After filming, she became most notable for her recurring role as Glory on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”. She’s landed regular acting gigs ever since, including on the “The Rules of Attraction”, “Sabrina the Teenage Witch”, and a guest spot on the supernatural series “Tru Calling”. In 2005, she married producer Brian Keathley and has since had four children. In recent years, she’s enjoyed her roles behind the scenes, producing series such as “Tweet Out”, “Take Five”, and “Film Pigs”. A self-described pop culture fan, she co-founded the ultimate site for geeks, GeekNation, and hosted her own podcast, “Take 5 with Clare Kramer”.
#4: Jesse Bradford
Jesse Bradford played the adorable love interest who vied for the attention of Torrance Shipman. After filming, Jesse landed regular gigs throughout the years, including recurring roles on “The West Wing”, “Outlaw”, “Guys With Kids”, “Sequestered”. More recently, he had a guest spot on “Magnum P.I.”. In 2014, the world became enamored with his love life once again, this time, off camera, after he and rapper Azealia Banks began posting cute pics together on social media. Since then, however, he’s married “Twin Peaks” star Andrea Watrouse.
#3: Gabrielle Union
“Bring It On” propelled Gabrielle from playing supporting roles in teen flicks to mega-stardom. After filming, she landed roles in the movies “The Brothers”, “Bad Boys II”, “Deliver Us from Eva”, and “Think Like a Man”. On the small screen, she played the title character in the BET series “Being Mary Jane”, and more recently alongside Jessica Alba in “L.A.’s Finest”. In 2019, Gabrielle expanded into reality TV as one of the judges on “America's Got Talent”, but was let go after one season, allegedly for speaking out against racial insensitivity. She’s now married to former Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade. In 2018, they welcomed their daughter through surrogacy.
#2: Eliza Dushku
After playing the gymnast turned cheerleader Missy Pantone, Eliza ditched the dreads and continued to find success as an actress. She landed roles in “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back”, and starred in the popular TV series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, “Angel”, and “Dollhouse”. More recently, she played the savvy lawyer on the CBS hit series, “Bull”; but she was fired after complaining about sexual harassment from co-star Michael Weatherly. Eliza then took a break from acting, returning to school to study holistic psychology. She also met and married her husband, real estate CEO Peter Palandjian. The couple had their first child in 2019, and Eliza graduated from college in May 2020.
#1: Kirsten Dunst
After “Bring It On”, Kirsten scored the coveted role of Mary Jane in the first “Spider-Man” series. In the 2000s, she also starred in “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”, “Elizabethtown”, and “Mona Lisa Smile”. She took a bit of a break from acting before returning in 2011's critically-acclaimed "Melancholia". In 2016, she appeared in “Hidden Figures” and received her first Emmy nomination for her role as Peggy Blumquist in FX's “Fargo”, where she started dating her on-screen husband, Jesse Plemons. The couple got engaged in 2017 and now have a son together. In 2019, Kirsten was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in the dark comedy “On Becoming a God in Central Florida”. In 2021, she'll star in “Power of the Dog”.
