VOICE OVER: Todd Haberkorn WRITTEN BY: Alex Crilly-Mckean
Oooh, that's going to need some therapy. Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we are counting down our picks for the Top 10 Brutal Anime Humiliations.

For this list, we'll be looking at the times in anime where characters suffered embarrassment so horrendous that cringe doesn't even come close to describing it. Whether it was justified or not, we can all take solace in the fact that at least none of this crap happened to us!
Top 10 Brutal Anime Humiliations Oooh, that’s going to need some therapy. Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we are counting down our picks for the Top 10 Brutal Anime Humiliations. For this list, we’ll be looking at the times in anime where characters suffered embarrassment so horrendous that cringe doesn’t even come close to describing it. Whether it was justified or not, we can all take solace in the fact that at least none of this crap happened to us!

#10: Hestia Cleans House

“Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?” (2015-) In all fairness, Apollo and his Familia really had this coming. Strutting their stuff, looking down on everyone else, and generally being a pain in the ass as far as deities go. After declaring the War Games and threatening Bell, it’s only fair that Hestia and hers get the chance to prove who has the better standing as a god, as well as who has the better followers. Surprise, surprise, Apollo and his crew get smoked, allowing the pint-sized, voluptuous goddess to acquire all their assets and essentially disassemble their little empire in a single swoop.

#9: Learning to Eat Dirt

“Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World” (2016-) As gruesome as it sounds, Subaru might have considered taking advantage of “Return by Death”, at least then everything would have been reset and he would have had a chance at redoing things! While trying to appear gallant by defending Emilia from the political sphere, he ends up stepping in it by agreeing to battle a far superior knight, who proceeds to wreck him like a training dummy until he’s a swollen mess. If that’s not painful enough, his own idiotic pride causes the beautiful half-elf to walk out on him. Dude! Learn to make a graceful exit!

#8: The Punishment Game

“Asobi Asobase” (2018) Surely there are better ways to pass the time than by subjecting your friends to the most cringe-inducing game ever conjured. Essentially, our three lovely ladies decide to try their hands at a custom board game, where each roll of the dice leads to one embarrassing dare after the next. And yes, they do them all. Acting like a dog, getting spanked so hard that their backside needs hospital treatment, performing a Kamehameha and a Sailor Senshi transformation in front of a teacher? Girls, there are less painful ways to perform social suicide…

#7: One Way Ticket to Brown Town

Top 10 Anime Characters Who Finally Got Laid (Ft. Todd Haberkorn!)

“Prison School” (2015) Nobody said breaking out of the clink would be easy, we just didn’t expect shitting yourself in front of a classroom of beautiful girls would be part of the plan. When their mission to grab an mp3 of a fart sound effect fails, Gakuto goes all in by making the sound effect himself, and in doing so pretty much destroys any chance of him ever finding a lady friend during his high school years. He went above and beyond the call of duty just so his bros had a chance at escaping, and for that we salute you sir! Though you probably should have gone to the bathroom before class…would have spared you from all that follow-through.

#6: Sour Lemons

“Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma” (2015-) Everyone hates a copycat, especially one that takes great enjoyment in trying to overthrow the original. In the case of Takumi, he and his Italian pride got kicked to the curb so hard that even Gordon Ramsay would flinch. After his brother is defeated and mocked, the Aldini brother challenges Mimasaka to a Shokugeki, confident that his culinary chops can grant him a swift victory. While we can’t deny he makes a pretty mean lemon semifreddo, his insidious opponent ultimately manages to clutch the win…by making the same dish, only better. That has got to sting!

#5: Kira “Steal-Your-Girl” Yamato

Also in:

Top 10 Overpowered Women In Anime (ft. Kira Buckland)

“Mobile Suit Gundam SEED” (2002-03) Amazing that even when a whole town is getting bombarded, these pilots still find time to argue about who slept with who. As the war between the Naturals and Coordinators continues to intensify, Kira finds himself getting some bedroom action with the beautiful yet devious Flay. While we’re happy everyone’s future lord and saviour got some nookie, the same can’t be said for Sai, who found out his one-sided crush bumped hips with Kira at the most inopportune time. What’s worse is that when he tried to flex on Kira, he got manhandled so badly we’re pretty sure his balls ended up in the Universal Century.

#4: Child’s Play

“Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters” (2000-04) The irony here is so good you can almost taste it. You’ve got the fabulous Pegasus battling the all-American criminal Bandit Keith in the finale of a tournament, all centred around a children’s card game…only for Pegasus to get a child out of the audience, whispers some instructions, and have him finish the match on his behalf, where he proceeds to own Keith at every turn. That’s right, the grown ass duelist lost a children’s card game to a child who was playing the children’s card game on behalf of the creator of said children’s card game. Go back to the States man, it’s clearly not working for you.

#3: Magnetic

“JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders” (2014-15) We all know that Joseph Joestar is as charming as they come, but this kind of fatal attraction was too much even for this silver fox! After getting blasted by Mariah’s Stand, Joseph’s body essentially becomes a magnet, causing all metal to latch onto him, including the sharp stuff. Though the real trouble begins when he starts attracting actual bodies. Pick your poison – having your bestie get pulled onto you to the point where it looks like you’re performing a Red Light Distinct Special out in public, or accidentally pulling up the skirt of an old hag who jumps at the chance to get her old bones ridden. Joseph got both.

#2: Generation of Douchebags

Top 10 Generation 3 Pokémon

“Kuroko’s Basketball” (2012-15) Turns out that staying at the top for so long can make players forget why they fell in love with a sport to begin with, as was the tragic case with the stars of the Teiko Junior High Basketball Team. With their skills rising and attitudes plummeting, it was only a matter of time before they crossed some-kind of line. In this instance, they just happened to obliterate Kuroko’s bestie in a game and crush his passion for the sport by making sure they’d win the game with a score of 111-11. When you pose so little of a challenge your opponents choose to make a game within a game, you know you’re having a bad day.

#1: Bitch & Trash

“The Rising of the Shield Hero” (2019) Has there truly been a greater revenge than this? Oh sure, it would have been perfectly justified for Myne and her father’s heads to roll off the executioner’s block. After all, they framed Naofumi, painted him as a demon and tried to have him killed on multiple occasions. Of course that deserves a little payback! Well, being the nice guy that he is, the Shield Hero decides to spare their lives, and in leu of their deaths offers a much more satisfying compromise – stripping them of their titles, and having their names legally change to Bitch and Trash. Oooooh, that’s some good karma right there!
