Welcome to MsMojo, and today we’re counting down our picks for the Top 10 Times Celebrities Revealed Baby Bumps in Music Videos.

For this list, we’ll be looking at the most notable moments when stars used music videos to show off their pregnancies. In some cases, the exciting news may have been announced beforehand, but that doesn’t mean the reveals weren’t special.

What’s the best pregnancy reveal you’ve ever seen? Let us know in the comments below!

#10: Jessie James Decker
“Flip My Hair”

This country star’s music videos are always top-notch. But the one for “Flip My Hair” is extra special. Filmed during her third pregnancy, Decker is dressed in a form-fitting black one-piece to display her growing tummy. She actually grappled with whether it’d be best to make the video before or after the birth. Ultimately, she opted to go ahead and film it when she was six months pregnant. Accompanied by other expectant mothers, Jessie dances and grooves her way through the song, which concludes with a surprise cameo from her eldest daughter, Vivianne.

#9: Teyana Taylor
“Wake Up Love”

A jack of all trades, Teyana Taylor has done everything from choreographing for Beyoncé to collaborating with Kanye West. Her work on and in countless music videos is iconic. So it’s fitting that she would use the medium to highlight one of the most exciting moments in her life. Appearing alongside her husband Iman Shumpert and daughter Iman “Junie” Tayla Shumpert Jr., she revealed that she was pregnant with baby number two. Taylor also served as the video’s director, proving that she’s truly a supermom who can juggle it all with style.

#8: Ciara
“Rooted”

Ciara’s music video for her song “Rooted” faced many challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic and a fast-approaching due date! Two days after filming the 2020 video, the “Level Up” singer and her husband Russell Wilson welcomed Win. But nothing, not even labor, was going to stop her from getting the important project done. Up-and-coming director Annie Bercy led the one-day shoot for the song, which centers on honoring and uplifting Black culture and community. Between the powerful video and the arrival of her baby, “Rooted” represents one of the most significant moments in Ciara’s life, both personally and professionally.

#7: Natasha Bedingfield
“Hey Boy”

Singer Natasha Bedingfield notably decided to show off her baby bump in this 2017 music video. But she also used it to announce another special surprise. The vid also served as gender reveal, where the “Unwritten” songstress shared with the world that she was carrying…a son! The vibrant and lively pop-rock-inspired number was the perfect tune for the exciting occasion. Bedingfield subsequently gave birth to a bouncing baby boy named Solomon. And we have no doubt that he’s a “Pocketful of Sunshine” for her and her hubby Matt Robinson.

#6: Natalie Portman
“My Willing Heart”

Just days before delivering her second child, actress Natalie Portman decided to squeeze in one more project. And we’re definitely glad she did. In early 2017, the Academy Award winner collaborated with singer-songwriter James Blake on the set of the music video for his single, “My Willing Heart.” The haunting project features many close-up shots of a nine-month pregnant Portman swimming, lounging, and cradling her stomach. Much like the star herself, the piece feels classic, elegant, and timeless. The black-and-white imagery is also beautifully produced, and acts as a powerful depiction of motherhood.

#5: Solange Knowles
“Soldier”

When Solange Knowles appeared in Destiny Child’s music video for “Soldier,” it was truly a family affair. At nine months pregnant, the musician appeared alongside her big sis Beyoncé in the Ray Kay directed shoot. Her cameo was unplanned, and the video was actually filmed on her due date! Luckily, production wrapped that day without any trips to the delivery room. Shortly afterward, the "Cranes in the Sky" singer gave birth to her son, Daniel Julez J. Smith Jr. It remains a sweet memory for all who were involved.

#4: Carrie Underwood
“Love Wins”

This “American Idol” alum looked like a goddess in the 2018 music video for her single, “Love Wins.” Dressed in a beautiful boho orange gown, Carrie Underwood had a special glow about her that’s often said to be unique to expectant mothers. She showed off her tiny bump a month after publicly announcing the upcoming arrival of her second baby with Mike Fisher. Using lots of lively colors, she gave fans a glimpse into her life while sending a message about the power of love. Needless to say, it was perfect.

#3: Cardi B
“I Like It”

Soon after Cardi B burst onto the scene, rumors swirled that the rapper was with child. After denying the claims, the “Bodak Yellow” marked her “Saturday Night Live” debut with an extraordinary announcement. While performing “Be Careful,” she revealed her pregnant belly. Sporting a drop-dead gorgeous Christian Siriano gown, Cardi reclaimed the news by publicizing it on her terms. She took it a step further by showing off her bump again in the music video for “I Like It.” Naturally, she was dressed to the nines once more. The footage - which was largely shot between her second and third trimesters - celebrated the pivotal occasion in true Cardi B fashion.

#2: Katy Perry
“Never Worn White”

Katy Perry has always gone the extra mile for her art, and she spared no expense for her most important music video ever. Looking like the definition of an elegant angel, the pop superstar unveiled her pregnancy in “Never Worn White.” The reveal gives the song, which explores the topic of marriage with extreme vulnerability, even more depth. It’s safe to say it’s one of her most personal releases to date. Perry and her fiancé Orlando Bloom welcomed their baby girl, Daisy Dove, a few months later in August of 2020.

#1: Beyoncé
“Countdown”

During the 28th VMAs in 2011, Beyoncé caused a frenzy when she revealed her pregnancy to millions of viewers worldwide. Sometime later, the ultra-private star treated us to another glance at her belly. Throughout the video for “Countdown,” she seeks inspiration from style mavens like Audrey Hepburn. But between her bold eye makeup and amazing outfits, the music icon sneaks in a quick flash of her bump. Understandably, the video got fans even more excited for the arrival of Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s first born. That child ended up being Blue Ivy, who knows how to steal a spotlight - just like her mom!
