He has produced chart topping singles, platinum albums and a slew of Top 40 hits. His wealth is primarily derived from his musical endeavors, with many millions being earned each year from record sales and consistent touring. Additionally, Khalifa earns mad money from his YouTube channel while also racking in a ton of dough from a couple of high profile endorsement deals. All told, Khalifa has plenty of walking around money in his pockets.

#9: Nicki Minaj
~$75 Million

This rapper and model owes her ridiculous fortune to a string of hit songs, multiple endorsement deals and a jam-packed touring schedule. Nicki Minaj has been making her mark on the rap game since the mid 2000’s, though she did not find mainstream success until the release of her debut studio album Pink Friday in 2010. Since then the Trinidad and Tobago native has continued to work tirelessly to perfect her art form, winning numerous awards in the process. As one of the entertainment industry’s top earning women, Nicki Minaj is a true inspiration to aspiring female rappers everywhere.

#8: Lil Wayne
~$150 Million

Lil Wayne got his start in the rap game at the tender age of nine, when Birdman who himself was recently named on the 2017 Forbes list of top 5 richest rappers, signed him to his label, Cash Money Records. Since then, Wayne has become one of the rap genre’s flagship artists, releasing hit record after hit record for nearly two decades. He has managed to translate his mainstream success into an enormous fortune of approximately $150 million. While Lil Wayne has suffered through his fair share of controversy he has always found a way to land on his feet financially. As one of the bestselling musical artist of all-time, Lil Wayne’s star is still burning bright.

~$147 Million

Kanye West is a man of many talents. From rapping and producing records to designing clothes for his YEEZY line and appearing in the occasional film, the Chicago native keeps his plate full at all times. It is this impressive work ethic that has allowed him to procure such an insane amount of wealth. All told Kanye is worth an estimated $147 million, with much of it coming from the sales generated by his multitude of successful albums. It’s clear that Kanye West is one rapper who doesn’t need to be told to keep his eye on the prize.

#6: Drake
~$90 Million

With a net worth of around $90 million, it is definitely hot up in the 6 right now for Canada’s most prominent rapper. Drake began his musical career in 2010 with the release of his debut album Thank Me Later. In the ensuing years Drizzy has risen through the ranks and become one of the most recognizable and respected names in the business. He hasn’t dipped his toes into many business ventures but does have endorsement deals with companies such as Jordan and Sprite. That, combined with his ever-increasing record sales has made Drake one of the rap game’s richest members.

#5: Eminem
~$190-210 Million

Who would have thought that a scrawny, bleached blond kid from Detroit would take the rap game by storm in the late 90s? This was how it played out for Marshall Mathers, better known by his stage name Eminem. As the original king of shock rap, Slim Shady flipped the music world upside down when he began rolling out hit after hit throughout the 2000s. His musical longevity has made him insanely wealthy, with a net worth upwards of $210 million. Much of it has been accrued from his rap career, while portions can be attributed to his record producing and acting career.

#4: Snoop Dogg
~#135 Million

Few rappers are as universally beloved and respected as this man right here. Snoop D-O-double-G has been a hit maker since the early 90s, with a number of iconic songs such as “Gin & Juice”, “Beautiful” and “Drop it Like It’s Hot” to his name. The California native amassed his millions thanks to consistent record sales, years of live performances, as well as dozens of film and TV credits. With his silky-smooth delivery, love of marijuana and laid-back demeanor, Snoop might just be the coolest millionaire on the planet!

#3: Dr. Dre
~$740 Million

Straight Outta Compton? More like straight to the bank! Andre ‘Dr. Dre’ Young is not only one of the most recognizable names in rap, but he’s also one of the richest. Over the years Dre has accumulated an enormous fortune thanks to his indelible ability to find new talent and fine-tune it for the masses. Producing and rapping aside though, the primary source of Dre’s wealth came from a one-time business venture and not a slow accumulation of album sales and concert tickets, as Apple purchased Beats by Dr. Dre in 2014 for $3 billion dollars. Something tells us that Dre was probably pretty happy with that number.

#2: Jay Z
~$810 Million

In the pantheon of rap icons Jay Z is up there with the best of them. In a career spanning three decades he has managed to sell more records and win more Grammy’s than almost anyone in the industry. And while he definitely derives much of his wealth from his musical ventures, it’s his business empire that accounts for the majority of his fortune. Jay Z owns restaurants, clothing lines, a burgeoning sports agency and of course, his entertainment company, Roc Nation. Hhis $810 million net worth is impressive, it pales in comparison to how much he and Beyoncé are worth as a couple. We’re talking billions baby….
Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions:
Master P
~$350 Million

Ice Cube
~$140 Million
Pharrell Williams
~$150 Million

#1: Sean Combs
~$820 Million

P Diddy, Puffy, Puff Daddy or just plain Diddy, Combs has had his fair share of stage names throughout the years. However, seeing as he has a net worth of over $800 million in the bank he can pretty much call himself whatever he likes. Combs founded Bad Boy Entertainment in 1993 and never looked back. Over the years he discovered, signed and developed a number of hip-hop and rap icons including The Notorious B.I.G., Lil’ Kim and Mariah Carey, while simultaneously releasing a string of hit songs himself. In the ensuing years Combs has continued to build upon his massive wealth through a number of different business ventures. Combs is without a doubt the richest rapper in the game
