VOICE OVER: David Foster
Get ready to laugh until your sides hurt! Join us as we explore the most hilarious moments from "The Chase" that left Bradley Walsh and the entire cast in absolute stitches. From outrageous contestant answers to accidentally innuendo-filled questions, these unforgettable TV moments prove that sometimes the best entertainment comes from the unexpected blunders that make it to air. Our countdown features Fanny Chmelar, Dick Tingeler, sausages, Victoria's Secret, and more legendary moments that broke the professional composure of everyone in the studio. Which Chase moment made you laugh the hardest?

#10: £1 Million

John came onto the show wanting one thing and one thing only: a million pounds. Never mind that that’s significantly higher than any cash prize ever won on “The Chase” before, and he freely admitted that he wasn’t a good quizzer, John wanted his millions! He had a plan for how to get that fortune beyond the walls of the ITV studio, though, and we’ll let him tell you. Bradley Walsh was infinitely amused by John’s answers about bonds and how he spent his free time doing nothing at all and simply enjoying himself. He ultimately wanted to leave all the cash to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, getting four grand against the Sinnerman in his cash builder.

#9: Victoria’s Secret

Clearly, the people who write the questions on “The Chase” do have fun, throwing in some bizarre answers that are clearly wrong just to mix things up a bit. That was the case with this shockingly easy question about the lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret, and the third, joke answer waiting at the end. But you might be interested to know that the real Victoria’s secret is that the American retailer is named after Queen Victoria, not because she was known for her taste in lingerie – of which we have no historical record – but because Victorian times were lauded for their “refinement”, according to the company founder.

#8: Set Up

Usually it’s the Chasers playing mind games, but not so for shrewd Pearl, who decided that she was going to trick Mark Labbett. While she didn’t know the answer because it turned out to be baccarat, she still announced to the entire studio that the answer was piquet. But did the Beast know his glassware? Shockingly, no! He copied Pearl’s wrong answer, keeping them apart on the board. The only thing that could have made this funnier would have been if she did get it right and completely tricked him; perhaps more contestants should try this strategy, but bluff on purpose…

#7: Shaun Ryder

Are you an avid Happy Mondays fan? If so, you probably already knew the answer to this question – or maybe you’ve just heard the common saying about twisted melons. Bradley Walsh, however, didn’t seem to have ever heard this, bursting into laughter as he read out the three options. He was amazed when Hannah chose melon instead of plums, though banana was another potentially risqué option, and even more impressed when that turned out to be the correct option. Predictably, both Hannah and the Chaser, Sinnerman again, got it right; thank god Walsh doesn’t compete.

#6: Dumps, Floaters, & Wipes

From an easy question to a trickier one, are YOU up to date on your sports terminology? When asked this brain teaser about dumps, floaters, and wipes, it’s totally understandable that Caroline goes for water polo as her answer. After all, the terms all sound scatalogical, so it’s not a massive leap to go from toilets to pool sports. But no! It was another sport typically played NEAR water: volleyball. The Dark Destroyer got this question right, but with minimal knowledge of any of these three sports, you can see why she latched onto the floaters as a potential clue.

#5: Dick-by-the-Bush

Reading out a question about garlic mustard, Brad’s thrown another curve ball by the staff who write the quiz, given the innuendo “dick-by-the-bush” as a potential answer and supposed nickname of this herb. He and Nina Wadia from “EastEnders” are at a loss for what the right answer is, with Nina wildly guessing and, miraculously, getting it right! Her logic was sound when asked though, and she inadvertently set up a solid one-liner from Walsh. Alas, Sinnerman also knew that the answer wasn’t dick-by-the-bush, so the chase continued against the celebrities.

#4: Giant Cock

For two years, this massive sculpture of a cockerel loomed over Trafalgar Square, but did you pay enough attention to remember what colour it was? Apparently not, since both the contestant and Bradley Walsh seemed to have no idea that there’d ever been a giant cock in Trafalgar Square, and you’d think it’s the kind of thing people would notice. This ended up being an outtake, and you can see the Governess with tears in her eyes trying to get through the question up on her podium. Nobody in the room had seen the sculpture, with Cath and Anne both getting it wrong.

#3: Sausages

Italian sausages are far from the filthiest potential answer on “The Chase”, but the contestant Aaron made a few choice comments as the round went on about sausages. It was the way he delivered these statements rather than what he actually said, almost as if he didn’t realise what he was saying; but of course, if he hadn’t realised, he’d have stopped. It must be thrilling to break Bradley Walsh like that, and this particular gaffe made it all the way into the final episode. At least Anne, barely, managed to stop herself from laughing. It wouldn’t be good for her stern image if she was as quick to laugh as Walsh.

#2: Dick Tingeler

It’s a lot harder to break a professional stand-up with an innuendo than it is to break Bradley Walsh, as Tim Vine proved in this celebrity edition. Yes, the Punslinger himself was given this question about comic strip character Andy Capp, who you can still see buried in the pages of the “Daily Mirror” to this day. It’s an obscure question and it doesn’t come as a surprise when neither Vine nor the Beast get it right; Willi Wakker did seem the least likely, after all. Then again, maybe he just wanted to give the celebrities more of a chance since the money was for charity, after all.

#1: Fanny Chmelar

We know you already knew what our number one pick would be as soon as you saw the title of this video, and yes, you were right: it’s German Olympic skier Fanny Chmelar. Miraculously, Brad manages to keep it together while reading the question, but not so when it comes time to talk about the contestant’s answers. The Governess is in the hot seat again and holds firm until Walsh starts making bizarre noises. Years later, and Michael McIntyre would torture Walsh by bringing Fanny Chmelar herself into his bedroom early one morning. McIntyre did a better job of reading out the questions, though; perhaps he’s after Brad’s job.
