VR upcoming video game blood and truth the london heist

Blood & Truth: Explosions, Gangsters And Cockney…In VR!

Two Bullets To The Head And A Packet Of Crisps

For those that played last years VR FPS The London Heist, watching the trailer for Blood & Truth play out might look like the developers are retreading the same old formula. After all, it has all the familiar components; British gangsters, plenty of violence and the odd trip to the pub.

Not to say that said formula isn’t fun. The London Heist turned out to be an enjoyable experience reminiscent of a Guy Richie movie, but how does this new project plan to raise the bar? By apparently injecting a fresh dose of Michael Bay into the mix.

According to an article on Polygon

Sony’s London Studio revealed its new game, Blood and Truth, at Paris Games Week today. The PlayStation VR action game is inspired by the studio’s previous action game experiment, The London Heist, according to its creators.

The London Heist was a PlayStation VR demo featured in Sony’s PlayStation VR Worlds collection. Sony’s London Studio said it went back to that title to turn it into a full game and “dial it up to 11” with expanded gameplay.

While The London Heist was described as a “love letter to classic cockney gangster movies,” Blood and Truth draws its inspiration from “more classic action movies” and Hollywood blockbusters, according to the studio. And where The London Heist was more “static,” players will be able to move, shoot, dual wield and reload in frantic action scenes.

London Studio said today’s look at Blood and Truth was a small sample of what to expect, promising even more locations and a look at the “glamour and grit of modern day London.”

Does this mean that we’ll actually get to blow the bloody doors off?
