The Baker Family Are Waiting…
Welcome to the family, son. With those words, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard managed to transcend the mediocrity of its predecessors to become one the year’s most terrifying yet entertaining games.
And in true RE fashion, it’s soon to release a “gold” version of the game, one that will apparently include a huge amount of extra features, new game-play modes and all the mold monsters you could want.
According to an article on Gamesradar –
Like any horror villain worth their cleaver, Resident Evil 7 is coming back just when you thought it gone for good. Capcom announced Resident Evil 7 biohazard Gold Edition on Tuesday, a bundled-up package featuring the original game and all of its DLC. It’s coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on December 12. Capcom didn’t specify the price, but these kinds of all-in-one re-releases typically have the same price as the original game did at launch.
For reference, here’s everything included in Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition.
- Main game: Resident Evil 7 Biohazard
- Paid DLC: Banned Footage Vol. 1 (Nightmare, Bedroom, and Ethan Must Die mode)
- Paid DLC: Banned Footage Vol. 2 (21, Daughters, and Jack’s 55th Birthday mode)
- Upcoming paid DLC: End of Zoe
- Upcoming free DLC: Not a Hero
Both End of Zoe and Not a Hero will be made available for previous RE7 owners on December 12 as well.
End of Zoe explores the fate of the Bakers’ daughter after the end of RE7, and Not a Hero lets you play as Chris Redfield. Being an old hand at this kind of thing – assuming he really is our Chris – Redfield comes loaded for bear with the proper equipment for taking down the biological threats within the Baker estate. That should make for a pretty different play experience.
Sounds like there’s plenty of new nightmare fuel on the way.
