Travel To Thailand
Thailand can be separated into several regions based on geography; however the climate remains relatively similar throughout the country. This tropical country sees very high heat and humidity at times, and temperatures in central Thailand – on average – do not fall below 85 degrees. April and May are the hottest months of the year in Thailand - Temperatures in these months can soar as high as 97 degrees. Monsoon season begins in June, and rainy season continues from this point until October. The most popular time to visit Thailand is between November and February, as this time sees the most comfortable temperatures and least rain. The north and north-east regions have more extreme temperatures than the country’s capital, with hotter summers and colder winters.
The terrain in Northern Thailand is mountainous and is also populated by many rivers. The Northeast is typified by plateaus and low hills. The area is not particularly fertile, and thin grass covers much of the land. Central Thailand also has a fairly flat terrain; however this region is far more fertile than the Northeast. Central Thailand can easily be considered the “rice bowl of Asia” due to its production of this crop. The East is a coastal site, distinguished by mountain ranges and rivers. The West is home to forests, and the border of mountains shared with Myanmar. This area’s geography has much in common with the North. Finally, the South lacks large rivers, but mountains and tropical forests are abundant.
With such a diverse ecosystem and hot weather, it’s no wonder Thailand is an ideal place for vacationing.
