#20: Kanye West Escorted Out of Skechers HQ

Kanye West’s rapid fall from grace in 2022 reached a humiliating moment when he showed up unannounced at Skechers’ corporate headquarters in Manhattan Beach, California. Just days after Adidas cut ties with the rapper over antisemitic remarks, Ye reportedly showed up at Skechers’ HQ looking for a meeting. With cameras rolling, the music artist was instead given the boot. Yep, executives had him escorted off the premises and promptly released a statement clarifying he wasn’t invited. The entire incident was a clear symbol of just how much Kanye’s influence had collapsed.

#19: Johnny Fairplay Gets Dropped by Danny Bonaduce

What happens when the chaos of reality TV collides with the anything-can-happen energy of an award show? Well, the 2007 Fox “Reality Really Awards” delivered the answer. During a confrontation gone wrong, infamous “Survivor” antagonist Johnny Fairplay leapt into actor Danny Bonaduce’s arms - only for Bonaduce to instinctively toss him over his shoulder. Crashing face-first onto the stage, the impact reportedly broke multiple teeth and landed Johnny in the hospital. Yeesh. For a performer who built his persona on conflict, Fairplay’s bid for attention imploded, leaving him humiliated in front of his reality TV peers.

#18: Amber Heard’s Viral Testimony

During the 2022 Depp v. Heard defamation trial, countless moments were dissected in real time, but one line from Amber Heard’s testimony became an unexpected meme avalanche. You see, while describing a series of events, Heard abruptly stated, “My dog stepped on a bee,” and then made a strained facial expression. It did not take long for the clip to spread online, inspiring thousands of parody edits, jokes, and remixes. The moment became a cultural punchline, often completely detached from the case’s serious allegations. Seeing a courtroom statement morph into an embarrassing catchphrase was a reminder of how quickly the internet can turn something (anything) into comedy fodder.

#17: Kim Kardashian Booed at Tom Brady’s Roast

At Netflix’s “The Roast of Tom Brady,” Kim Kardashian walked on stage expecting a playful, high-energy reception - like the ones given to those before her. However, what she received was a wee bit different: a wall of boos so loud they temporarily drowned out her intro. Yep, perhaps the only person who took more heat than the man of the hour was Kardashian herself. The SKIMS founder and reality TV star was used to controlled environments and curated appearances, so facing hostility from a live crowd must have been one of the most uncomfortable moments of her career – not to mention humiliating.

#16: Low Ticket Sales Cancel Robin Thicke Concerts

After the fallout from his “Blurred Lines” controversies and the mega flop that was the “Paula” album (a project widely criticized as an attempt to win back his ex-wife), Robin Thicke’s popularity fell off sharply. The decline became undeniable when multiple dates on his 2014 “Blurred Lines Tour” were cancelled due to poor ticket sales. Venues quietly pulled shows from the schedule, with promoters citing lack of demand. The optics of a once-mainstream star unable to fill midsized venues proved humiliating, marking a steep downturn in his commercial relevance. Ouch.

#15: Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Failed Stage Dives

Tekashi 6ix9ine built his reputation on shock value and audacious antics, but even he couldn’t fake crowd support. In a 2018 interview with REVOLT, the rapper recounted some humiliating stage dives - one particular dive at a Fetty Wap concert. It’s here where he leapt from the stage expecting the audience to catch him, only to find fans parting instead. The result? Tekashi hit the floor - hard! Videos and stories of the botched dives quickly circulated online, cementing the incidents as cringe-worthy highlights. It’s best to never overestimate your fan support – right Tekashi?

#14: Brett Ratner Banned from the Warner Bros. Lot

Following multiple 2017 misconduct allegations, director Brett Ratner saw his Hollywood standing fall in a hurry. The most symbolic (and humiliating) indicator of that downfall came when Warner Bros. - the studio with which he had long maintained a lucrative deal - banned him from their lot. After years of influence, premieres, and collaborations with major stars and franchises, Ratner suddenly found himself unwelcome at the studio campus he once treated as a home base. His banishment was widely reported in the industry trades, and for many observers, it marked one of the most tangible consequences faced by a previously insulated Hollywood power player.

#13: Elon Musk Destroyed at a Dave Chappelle Comedy Show

When Elon Musk walked onto a San Francisco stage during Dave Chappelle’s 2022 comedy show, he likely expected a warm welcome. Instead of roaring applause, Musk was met with prolonged, overwhelmingly negative boos from the crowd. Unfortunately for Musk, he had just made major headlines for his controversial takeover of Twitter and subsequent layoffs. Videos circulated showing Musk standing awkwardly next to Chappelle as the audience completely rejected him. Musk later attempted to downplay the reaction on social media, but it was clear that the world’s richest tech mogul had been publicly humbled in a room of nearly 20,000 people.

#12: Mel Gibson Tries and Fails to Fight Back Against Ricky Gervais

Ricky Gervais has roasted countless celebrities, but few were as routinely targeted as embattled actor Mel Gibson. And, after getting roasted by Gervais yet again at the 2016 “Golden Globes,” Gibson took to the stage and decided to give a jab back at the night’s host. Unfortunately for him, Gervais came back out, approached the mic, and asked Gibson what “sugar tits” meant - alluding to Mel’s alleged comment towards an arresting female police sergeant. While Gibson was quick to move on, he was left visibly flustered as the audience laughed (and in some cases gasped) in pure shock.

#11: Piers Morgan Gets Owned on “Good Morning Britain”

As a former co-host on “GMB”, Piers Morgan found himself on the receiving end of plenty of on-air takedowns - often courtesy of his longtime counterpart Susanna Reid. There are also countless examples of his hypocrisy over demanding people debate him and then walking off the set. But, perhaps his most memorable on-screen humbling came when the show strapped him to a TENS machine to simulate labor pains. And who could forget comedian Harry Hill planting a cream pie in Morgan’s face - poetic timing given Morgan had been publicly mocking Daniel Craig for wearing a papoose. You just love to see it!

#10: Dan Harmon Plays Chevy Chase’s Angry Voicemail

The long-running feud between “Community” creator Dan Harmon and actor Chevy Chase reached a fiery peak in 2012. During a live comedy show at Largo in Los Angeles, Harmon proceeded to play a private, expletive-filled voicemail Chase had left him. In the message, Chase vented about what he saw as disrespect and mismanagement. By airing it to the live audience, Harmon instantly turned Chase’s fury into a public spectacle. Knowing his raw frustration was broadcast for shock laughs had to certainly be deeply embarrassing for Chase. It became yet another low point in Chevy’s already turbulent professional tenure.

#9: Ryan Lochte-Gate

At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, Ryan Lochte briefly became the center of a humiliating global scandal - and not for his performance in the pool. Lochte and three fellow U.S. swimmers claimed they’d been robbed at gunpoint at a gas station, a story that instantly made headlines. However, Brazilian investigators quickly released security footage showing a very different reality. The video flat-out contradicted Lochte’s dramatic tale, exposing that he had exaggerated and misrepresented the incident. What could’ve been a minor late-night mishap ballooned into an international embarrassment, costing Lochte his major sponsors and earning him a suspension from USA Swimming.

#8: Conor McGregor’s Punch Doesn’t Hurt Elderly Man

Not every punch lands the way you expect - just ask Conor McGregor. In 2019, McGregor offered his whiskey brand to a patron in a Dublin bar. When he refused, McGregor shockingly punched him in the face. However, CCTV footage shows the local man barely reacting. In fact, he seemingly went back to drinking. The video sparked widespread condemnation and became ammunition for Connor’s critics who already saw him as a volatile and insecure figure. Of course, failing to faze a senior citizen with a power punch had to be a massive blow to McGregor’s ego.

#7: Jared Leto’s “Morbius” Bombs… Twice

The Jared Leto-starring Marvel anti-hero film “Morbius” became an internet sensation… for all the wrong reasons. You see, after opening to harsh reviews and poor box-office numbers, the film quickly transformed into a meme. Online jokes stating “It’s Morbin’ Time” exploded to such an absurd level. Sony may have misinterpreted the trend though, as the studio re-released the film in theaters, only for it to bomb…. again! In fact, it performed even worse the second time. Leto, already criticized for eccentric on-set behavior, found himself at the center of an industry-wide joke.

#6: Alex Jones’ Lawyer Mistakenly Sends Records to Opposing Counsel

During his 2022 Sandy Hook defamation trial, Alex Jones suffered one of the most legally disastrous - and publicly humiliating - moments in courtroom history. It turned out Jones’ own attorney accidentally sent the plaintiffs’ lawyers the contents of Jones’ phone - including two years of text messages that contradicted key claims Jones had already made under oath. The opposing counsel confronted Jones with the revelation in real time, all while viewers watched Jones struggle to respond while the courtroom absorbed the enormity of the mistake. The astonishing legal incompetence only served to expose Jones to further scrutiny.

#5: Elon Musk’s Cybertruck Fail

For his second time on this list, Elon Musk found himself humbled on a very public stage when he unveiled the Tesla Cybertruck. The event was billed as a demonstration of the vehicle’s near-indestructible design. But, during a live demo, Tesla’s design chief threw a metal ball at the truck’s supposedly shatterproof windows and, to everyone’s shock, the glass immediately cracked. Musk attempted to recover with laughter, only for a second window to fail in the same dramatic fashion. Naturally, it became one of the most replayed tech fails of the decade.

#4: Justin Timberlake’s Ironic Arrest

Back at the 2007 BRIT Awards, Justin Timberlake delivered a prerecorded acceptance speech that included a thinly veiled jab about someone needing to “stop drinking” before they “get sloppy.” It was a line widely interpreted as referencing his ex, Britney Spears, during a difficult period in her life. Seventeen years later, that comment resurfaced with a vengeance when Timberlake was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the Hamptons. The juxtaposition between his old warning and his own legal trouble was too much for many to ignore. The irony was off the charts as Timberlake faced the onslaught of online ridicule.

#3: Diddy and the Baby Oil Discovery

Few moments in Diddy’s public unraveling sparked more instant ridicule than what surfaced during the 2024 federal raids on his properties. When agents were searching his homes amid a widening investigation into alleged misconduct, an unexpected detail in the evidence logs lit up the internet: an unusually large stash of baby oil. The sheer quantity of baby oil found at his homes became immediate meme material, with social media users joking endlessly about it. Overnight, the item turned into a symbol of mockery, at times overshadowing the seriousness of the alleged abuse headlines. For Diddy, it was the start of an undeniably (ahem) slippery slope.

#2: James Corden Banned from Balthazar

For a guy who built his brand on charm, singalongs, and being everyone’s cheerful buddy, this scandal hit James Corden like a bum note. In 2022, the then “Late Late Show” host was publicly banned from New York’s famed Balthazar restaurant after owner Keith McNally accused him of being “extremely nasty” to staff over a botched order. McNally didn’t just complain - he blasted Corden online, labeling him the “most abusive customer” the place had ever seen. Corden apologized on-air, but the humiliation stuck. The internet wasted no time turning on him, marking one of the most damaging (and embarrassing) moments of his career.

#1: Kanye West Interrupting Taylor Swift Backfires

If there was a hall of fame for celebrity self-sabotage, Kanye West’s 2009 “MTV Video Music Awards” stunt would be framed at the entrance. West stormed the stage during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech to declare that Beyoncé deserved the award. Of course, the moment blew up entirely in his face. The crowd recoiled and celebrities and fans alike condemned him. And with the media roasting him for weeks, sympathy swung hard toward Swift, while Kanye suffered embarrassment of his own making. He issued multiple apologies, but the reputational damage was undeniably humiliating.
