Top 10 YouTubers You Didn't Know Were Good Singers

Welcome to MsMojo, and today we’re counting down our picks for the most popular YouTube creators who shocked the world with their singing chops.
#10: The Paul Brothers
Logan and Jake Paul are best known for their wrestling and boxing careers, especially after the younger one fought Mike Tyson. However, a few years back, they were a menace on YouTube. From striking up controversy in a foreign country to beefing between each other, they were never not trending. What was most surprising amid all the drama was the discography that came out of it. For Jake, it started when he dissed his ex, Alissa Violet, in "It's Everyday Bro" in 2017. And Logan has been releasing tracks since 2016 but drew attention when he dissed Jake back. They later made up, also through song. While Jake goes for more rap-heavy material, Logan’s got some vocals. Yes, even without the autotune.
#9: Kayla Nicole
Also known as Nicole TV, this internet sensation made a name for herself as a meme queen. Her breakout ponytail tutorial continues to make rounds on the internet to this day. She built a solid YouTube career out of her comedic skills, but no one expected her to also be a talented singer and rapper. Kayla has consistently released music in recent years, including emotional bops like “I Hate It Here” and viral baddie anthems like “Bundles.” Her voice has earned her much praise and so have her honest lyrics. Today, she is also a mother and an entrepreneur.
#8: Tana Mongeau
This award-winning YouTuber had a chokehold on her viewers with her gripping storytime videos. Although she has had her fair share of scandals, she somehow has managed to maintain relevance through it all. Like most of her contemporary creators, she too tried her luck at singing and we have to give credit where it’s due. It is an impressive effort. Her signature husky voice works in her favor, even more so when she pushed the enfant terrible concept. What really put her on the map, though, was her music video for “Hefner,” starring actress Bella Thorne, whom she was dating at the time.
#7: Merrell Twins
Veronica and Vanessa Merrell started out on YouTube with music. They uploaded school performances and cover videos that gained them some attention. However, those videos got buried under their more popular content, such as challenge videos, sketches, and vlogs. When their channel kicked off, they left music behind and did not pursue it as a serious career route. Perhaps that’s why it is not common knowledge that the twins are gifted vocalists. They only ever sang as a special treat for fans. That changed when Vanessa married John Vaughn, a musician, and the two joined forces to create ButterflyTiger. The duo has since released some deeply romantic songs together.
#6: MatPat
Fans would recognize his voice even in their sleep. The guy who brought us the legendary Game Theory is one of the most influential and successful creators in the YouTube biz. While he didn’t venture into music in earnest, his audience knows that he’s a fantastic singer. The first time most viewers found out about his musical prowess was with his 2020 track "Who You Gonna Call?" about FredBear from “Five Nights at Freddy's 4.” However, true OGs know that some of his earliest videos were clips from musicals he performed in or auditioned for! Now that he has retired from Game Theory, perhaps he will revisit that aspiration. But hey, that’s just a theory. A MsMojo theory.
#5: Thomas Sanders
For the Vine generation, he was a mega star. Thomas Sanders was the genius behind the short form series “Narrating People's Lives” (a.k.a. “Storytime”) that brought him great renown on the platform. However, many may not know that he has since branched out into a fully fledged music career. Growing up in the musical theater scene, he was always a brilliant singer. So when he had the right platform, he used it to go back to his artistic roots. He wrote his own musical, “Ultimate Storytime,” based on the aforementioned Vine series and even released albums. His work definitely deserves more attention.
#4: Lele Pons
As you can tell, it isn’t uncommon for YouTubers to dabble in music. However, it is rare for them to reach the levels of success Lele Pons has. Her star rose on Vine but when the platform shut down, she made a smooth shift to YouTube. Her massive fandom followed suit and grew manifold. Realizing she had the chance to go big, she went for gold. Singing in both Spanish and English, and quite impressively at that, she rose to pop icon status. Why wouldn’t she, when she had both the star power and the talent to back it up? Moreover, her collaborations with husband Guaynaa, like the song “Se Te Nota,” amassed hundreds of millions of views, giving her an even bigger boost.
#3: James Charles
This beauty guru’s music journey has been one of evolution. Sure, he was once trolled for his singing but rather than letting the criticism bring him down, he used it to improve himself. He took vocal lessons, some of which he documented for his YouTube channel, and shared his transformation with fans. This wasn’t easy, as he opened up about feeling insecure about his singing voice. Nevertheless, if his current singing form is anything to go by, there’s no doubt he has come a long way and even his harshest critics will probably agree. In 2024, he released his own music and even penned the lyrics. Although he has been called to account for some questionable personal conduct, his singing is objectively spot on.
#2: Trisha Paytas
Love her or hate her, you just can’t ignore her. Trisha Paytas has been in the YouTube game for what feels like decades and her influence is showing no signs of abating. In fact, she keeps reaching new milestones in her career and even made it to “Saturday Night Live.” She did all this despite being canceled any number of times for being thought problematic and making comments many found offensive. However, behind the divisive facade, she actually has a serious knack for singing. Just turn a blind eye to her digital footprint and you might be pleasantly surprised.

#1: KSI
Millionaire YouTuber, boxer, streamer, businessman, actor, video game creator, writer – the titles are endless for this internet celebrity. KSI has parlayed his online fame into so many different ventures that it probably isn’t surprising that music is one of them. What is rather mind-blowing is how good he is at it. With a healthy mix of rap and singing, KSI has successfully launched a music career that rakes in massive profits. He has worked with prominent rappers like Lil Wayne and Rick Ross and even went on tours! Guess he’s just blessed with the Midas touch.
