VOICE OVER: Rebecca Brayton
They've got the moves and the mottos! Every all-star wrestler has a great taunt to go along with his flowery personality, and those are the catchphrases that fans repeat time and time again when their man is in the ring. Heroes like The Rock, John Cena, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Macho Man Randy Savage are just a few of the wrestlers with some great mic skills – but who comes out on top as the ultimate trash talker? In this video, http://www.WatchMojo.com counts down our picks for the top 10 wrestling catchphrases.

Special thanks to our user zarndt2134 who suggested the idea on our YouTube page!

#10 – John Cena: “You can’t see me”

This WWE pretty-boy started his career as a fan-favorite heel, and his stature increased as the wins, trash-talk and rhymes piled up. Cena’s pseudo-rapper gimmick even spawned an album called – you guessed it – “You Can’t See Me,” though mercifully, the Vanilla Ice routine waned. This catchphrase is more like a schoolyard taunt than a professional wrestling finisher, but Cenation eats it up while everyone else loves to hate it.

#9 – The Undertaker: “Rest in peace”

This guy doesn’t need much help to be intimidating: with his terrifying eyes and impressive stature, The Undertaker strikes fear into those who dare to take him on – even without speaking. But just three little words uttered in his deep voice are all his opponents need to understand what’s in store. It’s simple, effective and just the right catchphrase for one of the most well-known wrestling personalities ever.

#8 – D-Generation X: “Suck it”

Skills in the ring and on the mic made DX a genuine phenomenon when they debuted during the Attitude Era. And if their motto’s popularity was any indication, fans were primed to see a group of guys break all the rules. “Suck it” may be one of the more vulgar wrestling catchphrases; but when paired with their patented crotch-chop, it’s unstoppable. And if you’re not down with that, we got two words for you!

#7 – Vince McMahon: “You’re fired”

You thought Donald Trump came up with this one all by himself? Hells-to-the-naw; his buddy Vince has been using it since long before “The Apprentice” rolled into town. McMahon may be chairman of the WWE, but his command of the crowd rivals any of his wrestlers’, and this simple phrase puts even the toughest tough guys on ice. We gotta admit: public humiliation is the worst pink-slip ever.

#6 – Ric Flair: “Woo!”

With his eccentric mannerisms, over-the-top personality and uncanny ability to work a crowd, Flair has no shortage of trademark slogans: after all, he is a “limousine ridin’, jet flyin’, kiss stealin’, wheelin’, dealin’, stylin’ and profilin’ sonofa gun.” However, there ain’t a lotta guys who can make one random scream into a catchphrase. But somehow the Nature Boy appropriated “Woo!” and turned it into a rallying cry.

#5 – Bret Hart: “The best there is, the best there was, the best there ever will be”

Excellence in Execution between the ropes and on the mic. The most effective wrestlers are cocky, but at least the Hitman has the goods to back up his ego: he’s one of the best technical wrestlers to ever set foot in the ring. And his catchphrase says as much. If his opponents needed a little reminder of who they were facing, this usually put them in their place.

#4 – “Macho Man” Randy Savage: “Oooh yeah”

With his unforgettably gruff voice, wild-and-wacky ways, and blindingly bright in-ring attire, the Macho Man was a cherished member of the WWE family. When he was rising through the ranks, Macho Madness could easily have been overshadowed by Hulkamania; but instead, Savage amassed his own contingent of loyal fans, and this simple refrain could bring them to their feet – especially when paired with some jerky.

#3 – “Stone Cold” Steve Austin: “And that’s the bottom line because Stone Cold says so”

Like Ric Flair before him, Stone Cold also managed to pull off a one-word catchphrase with precision. While that is commendable, it’s not the Austin offering that gets the nod on our list. And neither’s his bible-inspired taunt. Nope, we’ve opted for the phrase that perfectly punctuated so many Steve Austin moments. He’s famous for doing whatever he wanted within the ring, so this might be the perfect mantra.

#2 – The Rock: “If you smell what The Rock is cooking!”

Fans hang on his every word and raised eyebrow. Not only is he famous, respected, and one of the biggest WWE-to-Hollywood success stories, The Rock is also the man with the best mic skills in the game – and that’s exhibited in his limitless, and unparalleled, catchphrases. Like the man himself, the best of the best needs no introduction: What’s he cooking? Don’t know, don’t care.

#1 – Hulk Hogan: “Whatcha gonna do, brother…?”

To call him a household name would be the understatement of the century. Whether he’s stressing the importance of proper nutrition, talking about his pythons or waxing patriotic, The Hulk is never boring. But one of his catchphrases dominated the zeitgeist like none before or since: We still think of Hogan as our real American hero. And you know something Mean Gene? We wouldn’t have it any other way.
