Now it’s time for the greatest tool used by the world’s greatest detective. This gadget was extremely overpowered in Arkham Aslyum and made less of a crutch in the sequel, while remaining one of our favorites. While the Cryptographic Sequencer was awesome for breaking codes and tracking signals, it’s all about X-ray vision, the power to see through walls and access threats at a moments notice. That’s right, I’m Batman!

In this post apocalyptic world of the far future, nothing is as helpful as one of these personal information processors. During your travels and many encounters with mutated hostiles, it does everything from keep track of damage taken, ammo available, while serving as a Geiger counter. It also keeps track of dialog and audio files. Sure the PDA pretty much serves as your heads up display, but we love it.

While the hardcore would be quick to praise Samus’ Power Suit, this one took everything up several notches. Also known as a Nano-Muscle Suit, this powerful armor puts it’s wearer on equal physical footing as the Ceph alien invaders, having been reverse engineered from their tech. It’s artificial muscle fibers can be used for a variety of purposes, including hardening to absorb damage, invisibility, and super human movements.

While this one isn’t portable like the others on the list, it’s one heck of a gadget that gives Desmond Miles the ability to relive the lives of his ancestors.
